You can clearly see the terrible job he did. It's worse in person because details look worse in person. He refused to fix anything and said that's how it's done. When I told him I would complain about him to Yelp and requested my money back, he said they'll believe him and not me. It was so stressful, and I regret hiring him. Vernon agreed to do a herringbone pattern with tiles for my kitchen backsplash. He said he and his worker know how to do it and was reassuring he'd do a great job cause he's done this for years. He brought a guy named Jenson to help him. Jenson was trying to do the job while Vernon was trying to tell him what to do. Jenson seemed clueless and didn't know how to do the herringbone pattern but claimed that on day one, he knew. Jenson kept messing up and doing it the wrong way. Due to his lack of knowledge, 10:30am till after midnight while I was sitting there miserable hearing them going back and forth until a couple of hours later they finally got the hang out of. Also, they were complaining if there was a lot of cutting even though it was a small area in apt. The biggest problem is that the job wasn't done right at so. They missed grout in places, the tiles were uneven on wall, and the caulking was sloppy and was rushed. The grout was still wet and wasn't dried but they started the caulking which mixed into the grout. I said something but they said it's dried and it's fine because they were trying to rush it off there. Vernon said he would come back another day to fix it. However, he said the job he did is the same job he would do. He said there's nothing to fix and that's how you do it. He implied that because he gave me a cheap price that's the best he can do. There's grout all over the tiles and wasn't cleaned properly, and my cabinets are stained, tiles aren't placed right with gaps on bottom, grout is missing, and the caulking is sloppy and not professional looking. His answer was I should have done white grout and not choose the color I wanted because his imperfections from doing a bad job stand out. I have to rehire someone to completely take off the backsplash and redo it. I requested compensation from Yelp because of this disastrous nightmare and unprofessional job! Would NEVER recommend. No one deserves to go through this. DON'T NOT HIRE HIM FOR GOD SAKE!
