I had not received communication from my Attorney for quite sometime but calls and emails were coming in for money collection frequently. Things were submitted, movement went forward, minimal interaction to seem they cared but honestly I did not feel apart of a family. I would never recommend this Law Firm. Honesty and Truth is not here and I would highly recommend taking your case elsewhere. There is too much to write but just know the VA State Bar will be notified of the unethical and misconduct that I suffered one whole year. Improper representation, Improper evidence gathered/presented, evidence withheld, in house employmee repositioning while case was ongoing. This firm was recommended to us…read more M.R. Litman, Attorney at VA Estate and Law, was employed to make basic changes to my 95 year old father's Last Will and Testament. (Basic changes.) She offered to "go to" his assisted living to have the final documents signed. A courtesy, you might think? When my father's bill arrived, he discovered he was charged over $500 for this visit. How could this be ethical? This was not a kind overture, but a crafty way to eek more money from my father, who was quite upset. M.R. Litman didn't disclose this ahead of time nor did she tell him he needed 2 witnesses. All of this, as well as "how long it took" my father to arrive at the conference room, just added to the bill. Ms. Litman also cited, "unexpected bad traffic." (These quoted excerpts were taken from a defensive email I received from Ms. Litman.) The bottom line is that Ms. M.R. My husband (who practiced law until he retired) and I finally found our law firm and lawyers we felt would represent us in every way we needed. They instructed us through the process. Every question and concern we had was met with clear and helpful responses. They guided us through what we needed to know about creating a Trust, what we needed to consider about our estate, discussed our future and our family needs. We learned to follow and trust their suggestions. We hired them. There was an agreed upon cost and it was clear what we would receive in return. We occasionally have questions regarding how to handle certain things, we always receiving a response to our emails. Most recently we were considering hiring a financial adviser firm which we didn't feel quite comfortable about using. We received information that gave us options to consider. With the most recent stock market decline we are again pleased we had their recommendations. I know Trey and Victoria are always there for us now and as we age.
