Visited purina farms for the DCA dog show. I was amazed by the space used for the dog show, new, spacious, nice AC, plenty of food available & nice purina dog/cat branding. They also have an outdoor agility course, RV area. They have tours available as well. If you ever have a chance to attend a dog show, i highly recommend it!

Came here during a private tour but I absolutely love this place in the summer and everyone should at least bring their kiddos to few of their events. They also to a holiday event that's a lot of fun!! All events are really. I also had my daughter's birthday party here few years back and it was a hit!!!!

Wow, how much fun is Purina Farms. My daughters milked cows and played with all kinds of animals. Totally Free! The "Incredible Dog Show" was the highlight of the day. If you live here or are just visiting this is a great place for family's.

Staff is extremely family friendly and want to teach and show every child how important each animal is.

Purina Farms has a great facility for dog shows. Love dogs I highly recommend that you put this on your bucket list as something to do. It's a pretty neat experience. There's a lot of information online so I would look at that first before you come.

We went to our first dog show this weekend at Purina Farms event center. Didn't know what to expect. It was great! There's a security guard in the booth as you enter. Very courteous and told us exactly where we needed to go. My daughter uses a wheelchair and it was very easy to get around. The facility is very clean. Lots of snack and lunch choices at the cafe.

Puppies, ponies and more at this well known pet food corporate event and tour center. Especially fun is the dog show at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm featuring wonder dog "Sanka" and friends jumping for frisbees into a pool of water.

We had a GREAT time at Purina Farms Pups on the Patio! This is my first time to Purina Farms and I loved it! I heard about Pups on the Patio and went online to order tickets which included food and one drink. As soon as the tickets were ordered Purina sent an email with details and confirming the order. The communication was clear and easy to understand where to go. We entered through the visitors center and there were several friendly staff there to greet us and check us into the event. And a bonus, we got some hand sanitizer and a bag of Beggin Strips for the pups. They had plenty of tables on the patio with some covered seating. The food was appetizers and really good. They also had a cash bar if you wanted to purchase additional drinks. There were Frosty Paws frozen treats for the pups, which our dog's devoured! Most of the farm was closed, but we were able to walk the grounds and see the beautiful (and friendly) horses, dog kennel, and the area with the pool and agility training. Everything was so nice and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. am looking forward to visiting again for some of their other events!

I love Purina Farms. Free entry. See dogs, cats, and farm animals. Walk through a huge barn and ride on a wagon behind a tractor. Best attraction that has kept me coming back year after year....Dog agility/rally. I can't get enough of it. Awesome trainers that have a personal connection to the dogs and show you an entertaining, interaction between the dog and the handler. Don't miss it if you go!!! Gift shop, food/drink, and restrooms all in the main building.

Such a fun FREE day! This is a fun spot with or without kids! The free shows include frisbee catching dogs and dogs running the agility course. It's about 15-20 minutes long. The petting zoo in the barn is also fun! The cow milking demo was chaotic so get there early for a good view. There were several puppies and dogs for adoption which is fun because you can play with them but your kids (nieces and nephews) will ask for one no less than 100 times.

This is such a cool place! They show you how they train dogs, put on a real show for you and have TONS of hands on entertainment to teach the public about responsible and fun pet ownership. Their website is full of great info. We loved the dog shows.

There is a gorgeous garden, which is a photographers playground -- bees, beautiful butterflies and hummingbirds pollinating all around and enjoying the sweet nectar. Flowers everywhere -- it is so beautiful! It was super quiet as I walked around, it was just me and two hikers that went down to the little trail and back. This is such a wonderful play for kids! There are turkeys walking around loose, that just pass by, so used to humans, obviously. There are two pigs in a pen, a few goats chilling on their tables and a horse, two donkeys in the barn. Friendly, and curious if I had treats to give. (Which you can feed some of the animals, others have signs not too.) Groundhogs running around too but they do hide! Not scary at all. Lots of space for a shaded picnic lunch and a good sized play area for kids. It's well worth checking out. It is gorgeously maintained and the animals are beautiful, so very well taken care of. Just go, already -- It's good for the soul! :) Will definitely be back.

This place was....interesting…read more I'll be honest, it popped up as a pumpkin patch. My sister just moved to the area and was looking for one close for her kiddos, and this was around the corner, so we decided to give it a try. To start, it was $10/person to get in, which wasn't really promoted. We've lived many different places and have never had to pay to get into a pumpkin patch, so that was a surprise. Kids were the same price, also a surprise. The property is pretty cool, they have some farm animals. They sold food to buy but half the animals you couldn't feed and the other half were already full from being fed so much. We assumed it was a regular petting zoo and bought some food before seeing it, so we ended up with leftover bags of food and no animals to feed. The hay ride only went once hourly so you basically had to wait around forever if you wanted to ride it. The maze was cool and the concept seemed really fun to find a message BUT the first word on the message was "God" and honestly, nowhere did they promote this farm as a religious-based experience. Lastly - the pumpkins. We came here for one reason. They don't even grow pumpkins on site, they ship them in, and they don't keep them stocked. I think we had like 20-30 pumpkins to choose from, if that, and they were picked over. We had a 4YO and a 6YO and they couldn't pick any of the pumpkins up, all the kid size ones were already sold. I feel like this could be a good spot for what it is, and if it was marketed as that - a Christian family fun farm experience. But, that's not what we had expected based on the marketing they had, so it was a bit of a disappointment for us.

My brain wasn't working correctly and we missed our tour time but the guide was kind enough to take us along during their tour. Mind you, we got there an hour and a half early but the brain cells died or something. Anyway, we got to pet the Clydesdales and had a close encounter with one. These horses are huge and very beautiful. We got to see a couple of them getting bathed and they were so gentle and well-behaved, I was quite impressed! The tour includes a free adult beverage or water for those under 21 or those who prefers a water instead. Our tour guide was amazing. I think she said her name was Linda. She was very kind and didn't even want any gratuity explaining that her role is a volunteer one. She's a retired educator and you can tell with the patience she had with her rather large tour group. The ticket price for the tour was pretty reasonable for the experience you're getting. You do pay for parking but you can take the tram for free to the village area for more activities. Unfortunately, we ran out of time the day of our tour so we didn't make it up to the village. You can take the trails (bike or on foot) and visit the farm though! I went on the 4th of July on the 250th anniversary of... well I guess it wasn't the anniversary of the first-ever July 4th, but the first one like I'm talking about. I was impressed with how uncrowded the event was. The crowds were less than on the average days in the summers of my youth. These days there are no elephants at Grant's Farm. I saw a number of animals including some really cute hens and several wallaby. I fed goats and some tread on my American flag dress. I was happy that Grant's Farm's biergarten had several non-beers on free offer. I thought it was beer and only beer! First I had a seltzer made with vodka blueberry flavor... I think it's called Nutrl. Yum! We could smell the blueberry from a couple of feet away. My second drink was High Noon vodka iced tea It was good, but if I get to make that choice again, I'd go back to the blueberry. My friend and I split a vegan bratwurst with sauerkraut and a side of mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was pretty flavorful and the temperature was right (we weren't expecting much). I liked the bratwurst, but my companion wasn't wowed. The 4th of July drone show was a nice alternative to fireworks. We liked watching and figuring out the formations. Our only tip to the venue: reduce the volume of the band. We were sitting as far away as we could, and maybe there were speakers near us, but no matter the reason: this was at least 40% too loud for all of us. Those hens were so darling!

This is not one of those big commercial farms that are overcrowded with people. Instead, there is plenty of room to roam, and it's great. Our visit last weekend was no different. I have taken my kids here for about 14 years now. We always have fun, whether we are picking apples, pumpkins, or playing. My only complaint is that there usually seems to be a limited staff, and we never walk away thinking, "wow, they were so friendly!" It has never felt like a friendly place. That's surprising to me for a multi-generational family farm. Last weekend was the same, unfortunately. The young lady that weighs the pumpkins was exceptionally grumpy and rude. My kids even talked about her poor attitude. Prices always seem to be relatively high here, although there is no price for admission, which is very nice. However, as we left last weekend, a somewhat oversized woman was walking around the barn entrance, just out of sight from the staff. The kids and I wondered why she was looking at people this way. Then we saw why - She was stuffing mini-pumpkins in her coat and pants! Seriously... stealing mini-pumpkins! In all, we had a great time and continued making fun memories. We will no doubt be back, despite the crankiness.

There are multiple varieties of apples clearly labeled with wooden signs in front of each row. One of my favorite varieties of apple they have are Empire apples (and it's not only because I'm a huge Star Wars geek). They are a sweet and sour apple that are great to eat by themselves or wonderful for baking with.
