Absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!!!! If you want your package to get delivered then do NOT use Purolator! I had just missed the delivery and was given a package slip to pick up at a depot location on Feb.2 Feb 2 comes around and I am waiting around the location of the depot anticipating to pick up my package ASAP as it was time sensitive. After checking the tracking for 3 hours after the slip had stated the package would be ready by, I get the notification that the package delivery failed because it was being delivered to my house again?? Why? After the second failed attempt I contacted Purolator to please make sure it gets delivered to the location on the package slip left by the first delivery driver, they recommended I change locations closer to my house only for me to google said location and find out it's permanently closed!!! So I have to call again in order to switch back the address... and now my package has been stuck in a "arrived" and "departed" sorting facility limbo. This entire time I'm talking to service agents trying to get any sort of assurance that I can pick up this time sensitive package and they are nice and express apologies for the delays, but are ultimately unhelpful for me when one agent says I can for sure pick it up next day and another agent says it'll be 1-3 business days. As of now there is no estimated delivery date at all. Thanks Purolator! can't believe I even have to give it 1 star when it deserves -5 stars. I wish I could give zero star or negative star for their service and existence as a company. My parcel was supposed to be delivered on December 3. But of course not. The shipped company pushed Purolater to investigate and they found it somewhere in Calgary. After it came through Vancouver, they tried to deliver to my place on December 18 and 19 but failed. How come they fail? So I changed to pickup option near my house. Now they changed my request without permission and ask me to come over to Richmond. That's way too far. I'm so tired, frustrated, disgusted with this company. They ruin everything and should be shamed what they are doing. It was Christamas present and there is no point to receive it any more. I decided not to pick up and they will send back to sender and hopefully I can receive the refund. Just don't use Purolator if possible. read more

There was someone at home the entire time yet the drive did not buzz and just left a note telling us to pick up from near the airport. Immediately requested a 're-delivery' through their online customer service (real person). Was told 'it may take several days' and I was like 'sure'. Checked again after 8 days, the status said 'Shipment unclaimed - to be returned to sender', LOL. I called their customer service and confirmed a re-delivery request was sent to this shipping centre, but likely missed/ignored. What are these people doing? This specific centre was VERY bad several years ago - the drivers wouldn't ring door bells and just drove around posting pick up notices. Apparently half of the security code for my building had been cut off the shipping label & instead of just phoning me to get entry the driver returned the package to the warehouse. The delivery guy left a note on July 4 at our door that I have to pick up the envelope on July 7 @ New Westminster Purolator Mail Service.I went there according to instruction but the staff told me it's invalid address as per their system. Having used most options available in North America and Europe, I can unequivocally say that Purolator is the WORST delivery service in the world. And, having lived in several major Canadian cities, Purolator's service in Vancouver is even worse than its service in any other Canadian city (if that's even possible). I wish Google would allow me to give a 0-star rating, because that's the only fair score for this company. I have never - and I mean NEVER - successfully received a package to my residential address. This counts 20+ deliveries across 6 different residential addresses where I've ordered items to, ranging from suburban homes to townhouse complexes to large gated apartment buildings. In the place where I currently live, our buzzer is broken. I've called Purolator's customer service multiple times to get a note added to my account telling drivers to call me upon delivery or at least default to the nearest retail location for dropoff, but NO, Purolator apparently can't do something this simple in its (likely antiquated) CRM. Not that it matters, because Purolator drivers never call and never even leave a slip on my door saying they couldn't deliver like EVERY OTHER SERVICE DOES. In fact, several times I've watched Purolator drivers stop on my street corner, drop packages off to the business locations on my block, and then just drive off without even attempting delivery at my residential building. Worse yet, Purolator does not send me any email notices of failed delivery. I get NO communication from ANYONE. NOTHING. EVER. The last 3 times, I had NO idea this package could not be delivered. Sent a walker in a 50 pound package from Edmonton to a Vancouver residence with 24 hour concierge service. After a week Purolator announced a failed delivery attempt which, after a 45 minute info chase through Purolator's not so helpful help system, turned out to be not an attempted delivery. They claimed they needed to coordinate 2 trucks so that 2 drivers could lift a 50 pound package together ... OK... this was supposed to happen the next day, didn't ... the next day.... didn't, .... the next day ..... didn't and then I get another notice saying delivery failed..... Spent a another 45 minutes chasing the problem and was told in a chat by Patricia M. that the case would be escalated.... Ya, sure, while I am sure she hopes so. At no time has the courier reached out by physical note, email, text or phone to the receiver. Instead they sent 2 inaccurate emails to me, the shipper. We are pushing 2 weeks. I could have walked this walker there by now. I do not know if Purolator is trying to crash their business or what ... they sure are not helping mine. Oh ... do try their Virtual Assistant chat ... thrilling example of a waste of time. It is more interested in getting feedback than helping find anything not already visible on the tracking screen. The driver will not even try to attempt to deliver, he just stick white slip on the front door and leave from the premises which is pathetic and disappointing.. Package had two boxes for delivery. The first was delivered on time which was great. The second box never made it on a truck and was deemed for pickup. After several attempts to request for delivery, the item remains at the depot. Customer service agents were quite moody and dismissive when attempting to inquire further about the errors; however, this must be what happens when you don't have staff working at the direct facilities and everything becomes centralized through call centres. The levels of disconnection for service is phenomenal. Everyone is providing scripted advice without actually knowing what's really happening. Truly appalling. Abject, even. The tracking info below tells its own story. Amazon sent me a package. The package was supposed to be delivered to an Amazon locker, at what they call a hub. According to the info below, Purolator attempted delivery and said the hub was full. (This can happen, but it's temporary). Then it gets interesting. The driver lies. "Customer refused delivery." Not true. "Customer says did not order." Again, not true. Amazon messages me separately to say they will issue a refund, 3 to 5 business days after the package is returned. Fair enough. Now it gets really interesting. Purolator isn't returning the package! They start lying again - "Carrier has contacted you to arrange the delivery." Carrier has done no such thing, neither by email, text nor direct phone. They lie for four straight days. I finally get a live body at Purolator at the other end. They say the address I've given them does not match the address they have on file! They then say, 'Contact Amazon' (which I already have, and Amazon is being very good about it) and then effectively tell me my issue is with Amazon, not them. It's called passing the buck, or shirking responsibility, if you prefer. Here's the thing, though: Purolator has one job, and one job only, and that is to deliver packages. Apparently they can't even do that. I cannot stress highly enough how much this company should be avoided, based on my personal experience. Sorry to read all the negative reviews. I don't know what they are about as I had a really good experience here at this Purolator. The only thing that prevents me from giving it a five star review is that their computer system is a pain to work with. Because of a glitch it turns out that I had to enter all my information twice. The staff were very friendly and I didn't have to wait at all. The best part was the price: Purolator was less than half of what UPS wanted to charge to send a computer to Vancouver Island. I live in Vancouver, I don't have a car. I don't then want then to have to travel to freaking RICHMOND to pick up a package. Especially when I have to take the Canada line that goes out to the airport, increasing the cost of the travel and forcing me to walk nine minutes there and back. What is the point of ordering something online and paying for shipping if I then have to spend my own time and money going to get it? If a package requires a signature wouldn't it make sense to have delivery AFTER WORKING HOURS when most adults are at home??? How hard would it be to prioritize deliveries that way? Had a dyson vaccum sent from Ontario. It has now been 3 weeks and still waiting for the package. It has been at their Richmond warehouse for the past 2.5 weeks. Every time I call I am told they are very behind and there's nothing they can do. I don't see how you can call yourself a courier company when you take 3 times longer than Canada Post. Purolator has gone from a reliable delivery service to a farce. I've had two deliveries handled by them this year, one a window blind they smashed to pieces, another an Amazon shipment they had sitting in Richmond for two weeks before they finally claimed to have delivered it, either to my local post office or to my door. The local post office never received it, I sat in my house all day and there was no sign of them. Their tracking service is a fabrication and Purolator Customer service is an oxymoron. The virtual assistant does absolutely nothing, it's almost impossible to get live help, and when you do it's totally ineffective. Essentially, their whole system is cunningly designed to avoid all contact with dissatisfied customers. Amazon came to the rescue by refunding and reshipping and I stressed to them DO NOT, NOT!!!! use Purolator for the reshipment. I love their motto: "It's not a package, it's a promise," Wrong! I received a "We missed you" delivery notice from Purolator at my apartment, however they did not even attempt to contact me upon delivery, and instead just left a notice at my apartment building. My apartment building accepts packages on behalf of residents, but Purolator did not attempt to contact the reception office of my building either. Furthermore, while I live 5 minutes away from a Purolator office, the delivery notice requires me to go to a location that is in a different city, an hour away by transit! This is a totally unacceptable way to treat one's clientele, as if my time means nothing. I will never use Purolator again. read more

The funny thing is, a week ago I was ready to give Purolator a 5 star review because they tried to deliver my package a day early -- I was working so I didn't get the notification till after I was done work. No big deal. When I got home I was surprised to find there was no delivery slip on my door. "That's weird." I thought. I checked my tracking ID and saw that a delivery attempt had been made but they put wrong address on there. The address was correct but I realized my name and buzzer number was not in the building directory anymore, so I called them to update with my buzzer number -- I also had another package coming the next day so I asked them to update that as well. The first package was now to be delivered on Wednesday, second package came Monday, no problem. Wednesday rolled around, and I woke up late as I have the flu, but checked my tracking info... to my surprise the package was never put on a truck, and there was another notice saying incorrect address. I was pretty fuming at this point. Why the fuck would I make arrangements to have it delivered again on Wednesday if the address wasn't correct?! I dunno what the hell is with the people who work on the ground at Purolator, but apparently you're all fucking terrible. So anyway, I wound myself down and got on the phone to talk to a customer service rep. Well I ended up waiting on hold for 15 mins, never talked to a human the entire time -- I had other stuff to do so I left an email explaining that I just want the package to be delivered, the address is correct, and they should have just sent it to me at the arranged time. Unlike this current review, I would say I was somewhere around 7/10 on the politeness scale. No swearing, but notably irritated. So then it's Thursday. I slept with my phone next to me just in case, but I'm feeling pretty doubtful that it's gonna come -- after all it took four days for my original reschedule to deliver on Wednesday. Well, they ended up making a delivery attempt on Thursday anyway and I slept through the call -- as I mentioned earlier I have the flu and have been sleeping deeper than usual. Frustration crept over me as I saw the door had been rung while I was asleep. I immediately checked my tracking again and saw that I missed a delivery attempt. Whaaaat the hell?! I've been checking my delivery info via tracking every day, and been in contact with customer service, what the hell is wrong with you people?! There's supposed to be some sort of notification of rescheduled deliveries! This is totally messed up! You can't just assume people are available to pick up deliveries on random days of the week without any warning. We all have jobs, and this complex tracking system exists so that we can be prepared to pick shit up from you. You need to get your drivers, delivery and communications systems in order so that there aren't so many problems with picking packages up! I see the same number from Richmond tried to call me three times in a row (literally within 2 mins) -- I wasn't able to pickup as I was somewhere too loud to receive phone calls. Maybe you guys should also consider sending emails or text message when you can't reach people by phone? Oh wait, it gets worse. So I pick up the door slip and see that the package is gonna be available to pickup at the City Centre Plaza location the next day at noon. "Great!" I'm thinking. I can just pick it up and be done with. So it's Friday today. I go to the skytrain and get a day pass -- not necessary, but because I'm dying with the flu I don't want one more thing to be fumbling with while I'm trying to juggle a heavy ass desk (that's what I ordered) onto transit. Well fuck me, cuz I show up at the location and they tell me that the package is in Richmond. I immediately say "I don't know what is up with your drivers, but they're terrible. I'm sure you hear this all the time." Oh and get this, there's four people ahead of me in line and they're all there to pick up packages from more failed delivery attempts; and all of them end up leaving without packages. What an awesome courier Puralator is, that nobody can seem to get their packages delivered. So the associate asks me if I want the package delivered to my home or at the city centre location. Well I sure as hell don't want them to try to deliver it to me at home again because who fucking knows what's gonna happen next?! I ask her to have it sent there and I'll pick it up. She says it'll come on Monday. I ask what time they close on Monday, then she says they'll call me when it shows up. I ask again and say that I just wanna know cuz I work Monday, and she doesn't answer again, but asks for my phone number. LOL. Seems like she has an idea like the package may not show up there on Monday. Well who the hell knows what's going on there. Drivers DO NOT have phones ("for safety reasons") so they expect their customers to wait for delivery OUTSIDE for 10 hours to check if the driver has arrived (I just moved in and my buzzer isn't set up yet). So I called purolator customer service and they tell me the driver could not find my house and asked if I had any advise on how to find it. "Yay. Google maps!!" Wow!! I would give a zero if Yelp would let me. I am a small business owner who has lost literally thousands of dollars due to the service I have received from Purolator. Allow me to explain... I run a successful gym in downtown Vancouver. I am waiting on some floor samples (since last week) for our new location which we will move into in mid March. We are moving to a much bigger location in a few weeks so we have a sign on our window that says "we are moving". We are still open for business and run regular classes (10 classes per day, one of which starts at 1pm and runs until 2 pm). After waiting days for this floor sample, I finally contacted the shipper and asked where the product was. He replied saying that Purolator has the wrong address and I needed to call them to confirm. So, I called them to ensure that they had the correct address (And they did) and asked them where the package was and they said "You've moved from this location, we need your new location... I insisted to the agent, "No, we have not moved, we are still at the address you were sent to" (The address on the file was correct and I confirmed this). "No, sir, the driver was there at 1:15pm and there was nobody there..." This is an outright LIE! "Well how do you explain the 10-20 people who attended my class and the 2 staff members who were also there???" It is clear to me that the driver never even got out of his vehicle, saw the sign in the window and kept driving. We are there from 6:00am to 8:00pm every day. There was no notice on the door that said "delivery attempt" Like you would see from any other courier who attempts to deliver a package. After several calls to their support staff, I finally told the agent that they were horrible and that I wanted to pick up the package myself (In Richmond, a different city). They told me they did not know when I will be able to do this because they will have to leave a message with somebody so that I can pick it up. They don't even know where the package is. Because of this pathetic service, I will not be able to view the samples I was waiting for to verify the product would work for me and thus not be able to piggy-back on another order which would have saved me thousands of dollars. Every time I see something is going too be delivered by purolator I know there are going to be problems. This time is no different. I had 2 pieces to be delivered. 1 got delivered but the other did not. I found out later they were both on the same truck. The driver just wasn't paying attention & was to lazy to go back & deliver the package the same day so the excuse was the needed an address revision, they didn't. Then I asked that it be left at the depot so I could pick it up. nope they put it on the truck for delivery. but then didn't deliver it. I then found out because it was going to redelivered to my work that I couldn't pick it up because I had no I.D. with my work address on it that I couldn't pick it up. So back out for delivery it goes again. People at the depot can't help you. People on their customer service line can't help you & the virtual assistant is useless. I hate this company. read more
