It was a bad experience for me. I came to the depot to pick up my parcel because I live 2 hours from Vancouver. I tried a few days ago to inform them with a national representative that I am going to pick up the parcel . I called many time in Richmond to reconfirm with them. They never picked up the phone. I decided to come directly to check if they have my parcel. I was waiting 2 hours because every time the person told they have my parcel but I need to wait. Do you screen your drivers? I don't know how you are still in business. I had more than 4 occassion that a vendor I bought something used your services. All of these occassions were terrible. I had to ask your support to attempt delivery and in the end send it to a drop off site. After being provided with the address and scheduled pick up time I was inform that they don't have my package. I'm a frequent online shopper. A serious addict. Walmart is a 5 minute walk away from home and I still prefer Amazon. With a newborn, I'd rather wait at the comfort of my own home for deliveries than trying to stuff the tiny basket under the stroller or jiggle the diapers with one hand while pushing the stroller with another. I'm ALWAYS home. My cellphone is literally glued onto my hand. There's no way I couldn't answer the phone within a couple of rings. There weren't any problem ever before when I was living in a detached house. They may silently leave the package outside my doorstep but it wasn't a problem for me. However, two days in a row this week, 3 weeks after moving into an apartment, my online shopping nightmare occurs. And it's all because of this shipping company. I caught a flu and ordered saline solution nose wash refill for my nose cleaner. Amazon promised delivery on Wednesday. I should have enough plus 2 days. It's already Friday and I got a notice from amazon that the package was broken during transport. What does guaranteed delivery mean after all? Will I get my saline solution after my flu is gone? Diapers are running out and since my phone is glued onto my hand I know that my diaper subscription is out for delivery and promised a delivery by 8pm tonight. What a relieve that I don't have to make an emergency run to Walmart for some while having a fever... I keep checking the delivery status and keep my phone with me so I don't miss the delivery person buzzing the door (my buzzer is linked to my cellphone). I refrain from showering even for that matter. At 7:30pm, the status changed. My diaper is available for pickup at Purolator by the airport!!!!!!!!!! I told my husband to check the lobby. And there it is. The "delivery attempt" note stuck on the glass door. I bet the "attempt" they refer to, is to attempt to not carrying my heavy load of diaper/detergent subscription from their truck to my unit. Instead of walking 5 mins to Walmart, I have to use a lot more time and drive all the way to the airport to pick up some diapers they *attempted* to deliver. I've had deliveries from other couriers at this location without problem. Both cases mentioned above are shipped by Purolator, within 3 days. Amazon, I'd be really upset to end the relationship with you, but if your delivery partner is not performing, you leave me no choice. Purolator, if you continue to perform this way, you are forcing me and many others to stop online shopping and go back to retail stores meaning much less business for you. My baby, please use less than 5 diapers tonight, there's only so much left until your ma crawl to the airport first thing tomorrow morning. Same day delivery from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, waited whole day and then tell me the parcel is delayed one or two days later!!

Wow. Oh, wow. I never thought this bad of customer service can exist. Seriously, for a big company like this? I'd like to give 0 stars, but apparently that's not possible. SO, here's a little story: For an amazon order, they tried to deliver the shipment to my place while I was at work (this was Thursday), so I called the customer service. I requested the package to be held at this location (I was specific), and let them know I will pick up on Saturday. The person was helpful, and told me she would have the person from the location to call me to confirm the package is ready to be picked up. I got just that. That evening (still Thursday evening), I got a phone call confirming that my package was at this location, and ready for pick-up. I get there on Saturday morning, and the person at the counter tells me that the package is at another location. I told her I spoke to the customer service on the phone and got a confirmation that the package was here, waiting for me to pick up. She just said flatly, that the package isn't there, and there's nothing she can do. She wasn't even willing to call the customer service to verify, or nothing. She was so unhelpful, to the point of being rude. I walked out, and called the customer service again that evening (Saturday), and asked what happened? He said, that the package should've been there, and can't tell my why the person at location would tell me otherwise. So, he (on the phone), said he will have the manager to call me to confirm (again), when the package is ready for me to pick up. I also informed him that I would not be able to pick up until following Saturday, and asked the package to be held, since they return the package after holding 5 business days. He said, "Yes, we can hold the package till Saturday." I get another phone call couple days later (after the weekend) to confirm that package is there, and ready for me to pick up. I get there on Saturday, and the person at counter tells me the package has been returned to sender. Seriously?! I said, "Are you kidding me?!" Then she tells me to watch my language. (To be fair, my tone was probably irritated, and pissed off.) At this point, I stop even talking to her, since she's no help whatsoever. I call the customer service, and the person on the phone says he sees no record of me calling before, and the package has been returned to sender after holding the package for 5 business days. I didn't have the reference # the previous customer service agent gave me on me to prove that I had called before. Nonetheless, he offered to have the manager to give me a call, but when I asked how that will help my situation get better? He said, "Nothing. It won't." Some customer service. I went home, and contacted Amazon. They promptly refunded the purchase, and helped me reorder. Used Canada Post flex delivery option. Never use Purolator ever again. Be warned. To take the cake, I receive an email the other day, notifying me that the delivery attempt has been made (to the original sender), but was unable to deliver the package, and will try again next business day. This courier company is the worst anywhere. They will not so much as get out of their truck to knock on your door for a delivery. Instead they look for a reasons they cannot deliver, then call you to pick up. They likely make a lot of money as they don't do anything. This is an embarrassment of a business and the fact that Canada Post owns this and allows it means we should shut both down and let real companies like FedEx or Dan Foss do what they do. Like others this company does not deliver anything expect excuses. I think that the culture must be to find a way to irritate the customer as much as possible, then hold them hostage for the package they paid for. I am dumfounded how companies like this exist, except that we as tax payers pay for their bad service. For over 2 years they have not been able to find my front door, unlike every other courier that comes to my house. each time the same excuse, I could not open the gate. This time I caught the driver as he stopped in front of my house, looked then drove away. I then got the call that he could not open the gate. There is a door bell that my dog knows how to sue to open the gate, that is light, bright white and everyone one else can find. Except if you actually do not want to proved the service. Convenient for them, very bad for those that pay. I would never use them, but if you ship UPS they hand off to Purolator. I have a new slogan for Purolator it goes like this: "When you really want to irritate a customer and reduce your revenue, call on Plural-later, we can take days and weeks to do what other can do overnight." read more

Ordered something through amazon a couple of weeks ago and subsequently learned Purolator was the delivery company. Then found out it would be coming late ... okay. Then we learned delivery was attempted at front door of our high rise Friday afternoon ... but no notice was posted on front door like other companies. Had to find this out by going online and trying to track down the parcel. Then found out it would arrive only Wednesday morning - 5 days later. Okay. Tuesday morning we learn that they tried to deliver parcel at 9 a.m. We were both home and the phone did not ring (our buzzer). Incompetence or just a plain lie? They even left a notice this time. So we promptly contacted amazon and cancelled the order for non-delivery, which they immediately refunded. Yeah! This evening we got an email from Purolator saying that the parcel can now be picked up at their warehouse near the airport. We don't have a car. And besides, we already cancelled the order and Purolator was notified of this this morning. The mind boggles. read more

The absolute worst shipping company to deal with, avoid them at all costs. Its so bad that its at the point where i will not justify an online purchase or seller on ebay that uses Purolator. I will take my business elsewhere if they only use this company. Here is the jist of it: I ordered a laptop from Dell and patiently waited for my shipment to arrive. Checked the tracking status and said it was to be delivered that day. Waited all day at home and no knock, no phone call no nothing, not even a delivery slip (even though i requested a phone call and provided my buzzer number). So i go online to check it and they said i was unavailable. I called them and had them redirect it again for the next day, same thing happens!! What a joke. So at that point i lost my trust with them and figure the only way to get my laptop is to pick it up. So now i have take time off work to drive an hour all the way out to the middle of nowhere near YVR to go and pick it up because their drivers are lazy and incompetent. How hard is it to leave a delivery slip or knock! its not rocket science. Or at least have a place nearby they can drop it off where i can pick it up. I paid money to have this shipped and at the very least i expect them to deliver my item in tact and on time. I lost out a lot of money and time having to deal with this. After reading several other reviews, im defiantly not alone here. Its amazing these jokers are even in business still. I will have to say their customer service is decent but next to near powerless when it comes to things like these which didn't help my situation. They are pretty much there to tell you your package will be redirected the next and to listen to you vent on them. I would not want to have their job, they must put up with a lot of s**t. read more

Worst courier company every. Try to avoid Purolator. I don't know how this is still a business. EVERY SINGLE TIME I've ordered something purolator has messed up my reliever time. I ordered something on rush and the driver pretended to knock on my door and left a tag saying I didn't answer the door as I was looking at him through the window. Before he even got to my door I got a notification on my phone saying "sorry we missed you"?????? I ended up having to go pick it up from after a whole week of no one helping me and wasting $30 on priority shipping. Today I got a call for a different package saying that my building only goes up to 14 floors and I don't have a mail box for the 18TH floor .... there are 29 floors in my building. How come every other company can deliver packages on time and correctly? This company is freakin terrible. Avoid it. Frankly shocking service. My parcel was being tracked as 'on vehicle for delivery' since 7:30am, and I waited around all day for it like an idiot only for NOBODY to come. I then looked at the tracking at 6:30pm and it showed that it had been delivered to 'SHIP DOCK'(i.e. their depot). Why take it directly to their depot without coming to my house? Madness. I then called that night to explain the situation and they said that they'd be able to get it to a location nearer to me for the day after, so that wasn't too bad. Turns out that the driver didn't get the message, attempted to redeliver again when I was at work and now it was back at the depot again, forcing ANOTHER call to make sure it got here this time. Shipped a extremely time sensitive package from Richmond BC to Whistler BC. Total drive time 2 1/2 hours. After 3 business days, the package was not delivered. I picked up the package at the Richmond depot and drove it up to Whistler myself. Will never use Purolator again. read more

Order a package we tracked it online and said our address was incomplete. We live in an apartment so need a buzzer code (why I would give it online ever??) anyways we have a concierge in the lobby who works from 830am and we check they try and deliver at 9am I'm sure someone is there. But the delivery person didn't bother dropping off the package or even sticking a notice on the door (fedex and ups would do that if no one is at the desk). So we would have no idea they came and left if we didn't check online. Called purolator and at first said we are missing our street name?? Which was try as it didn't show on the online tracking page but then the lady repeated and address and she said the street name and then clarify we are missing a buzzer code. Now I have to call tomorrow morning on Saturday to see if the package is there and then go pick it up. Not my ideal Saturday... read more

An very inefficient shipping place! First, you have to have your tracking number with you whereas most places can look you up by address. Second, I can see in total 5 staffs but 4 of them are incompetent as they were discussing how to look up packages and wondering how to download data to their handheld devices. This resulted in a line up of customers obviously. Third, even if they did find your package, expect to wait another 5mins while they play hide and seek in the back for your shipment. Fourth, My tracking status clearly stated my package was ready for pickup yet they simply looked at the screen and said come back another time as it wasn't ready yet. They give me a number to call but what's the point of online tracking if I need to call to check the status of my package?! No wonder Canada post and Purolator are losing money. I ordered a product from Toys R Us. I was quite close to my due date in my pregnancy at that point and they were going to have it sent to my condo for delivery. I was told it would take about a week as it would be coming from the Langely, BC store. I was home the whole week and the product never arrived. I called Toys R Us to find out when they expected the product to arrive. I was advised that I would have to contact Purolator, as they were the ones shipping it to me, and Toys R Us wasn't responsible for tracking it, as it was my purchase and out of their hands. I called Purolator and was advised that they had tried to ship the product to me but no one was home at delivery which was completely not true- I hadn't left the apartment all week as I was already 1 week overdue at that point. I advised the rep of this and asked if they could send the courier back as I couldn't drive and pick it up in my condition. I was advised it was possible and I would have to pick the package up at Purolator. 2 days later I was induced at the hospital and gave birth to a healthy baby girl. The day after I got home from the hospital (another 3 days) my husband and I drove to purolator to pick up the package. It wasn't there. I was informed by Purolator that they had shipped the package back to the Toronto Toys R Us because I hadn't come soon enough to pick up the package. Toys R Us had confirmed it was ok to send the package back (not cool on the part of Toys R Us). read more

I have never been so irritated by a shipping company than how i have been by purolator over the years. Like others have said i wish i could give zero stars. Its gotten to the point that i will no longer do online shopping at websites that use purolator. Online shopping is supposed to be for convenience but whats the point if the shipping process is not. I just recently purchased items from forever 21 online and so did my friend on the same day (they were having a sale). Her items arrived on the exact day of estimated delivery however mine has been delayed for a week now. A first it was delayed due to sorting error on monday then delayed another day due to missed delivery (didnt have time to deliver to my house) on tuesday which i stayed home to make sure i would get it. Then on wednesday it is delivered 1pm however no one is home because of work. So i call purolator and the lady on the phone tells me i can pick up my package from the inconvenient location by the airport. I go after 630, where one person is working and theres a huge line and she looks miserable just to be told that the truck with my package hasnt come back yet. Are you kidding me?? They couldnt deliver to my house on tuesday due to a missed delivery (according to the tracker at 2:30pm) however the truck is still out doing deliveries at 630?! There is no way im going all the way out there again so i asked for the package to be delivered on friday (today) because its my day off. So its friday and ive been waiting all day, checking my tracker that says its on the truck and should be delivered today. Well guess what, now my tracker is saying at 2pm its delayed again due missed delivery and will be delivered on Monday. Are you kidding me?! Do they not hire enough drivers to get these packages out or are these drivers just not doing their job?! I wont be home on monday so now what do I do?!
