Large grounds to have their lavender ice cream on benches in the shade and to later walk around the lavender fields. Gift shop has a lot of clothes, jewelry and of course lavender products. Cow pasture behind. Overall grounds are worth a look. Yet another gem is the lady on the porch that ribbons up lavender wands and whimsical lavender products. Pretty and original gifts, too. She was born on Kauai and has lived in the area for sometime. I had a lot of laughs with this sweet lady. Their ice cream and lavender-lemonade is another treat. I cannot say if I have visited Purple Haze Lavender Farm during my time in Washington, but what I can say that is they have some exceptional lavender lotion that I continuously buy over and over again. It is not greasy or sticky, but has the perfect grosso lavender sent that is heavenly. It is also incredibly reasonably priced, which is the other reason it has me coming back for more. The most beautiful and picturesque lavender farm in Sequim, looks exactly like a postcard with tall lavender fields and cottage in the background. They have a mix of the purple lavender and also white lavender, so it is pretty scenic. We visited an hour before closing, which was a little calmer, as this place seems to get pretty crowded earlier. We did not have to pay for admission here. The lavender ice cream here is also pretty good but not really worth the price for the small amount that you get. Gift shop is okay, mostly souvenir items, as they don't have a lot of lavender products from the farm here. read more

It is a very beautiful farm and you can get a lot of great pictures. I am not familiar with how lavender farms work but there is an admission fee of $5 per person at this location; the cost adds up for bigger families. There were 8 of us so it was $40 just to get in. Drove to this place from Seattle. The drive was beautiful, Sequim is a very calm and charming town. You can smell the lavender as you get close to the farm. There are several lavender farms in the valley. The farm looked peaceful and beautiful, smelled amazing as well. There is an I cream shop which sells lavender ice cream and a gift shop selling lavender themed items. They were selling lavender bouquets too. This seems to be one of the most popular lavender farms in Sequim which also has chickens, other flowers and an ice cream stand! With the surrounding trees and lush greenery, this farm actually reminds me more of a dreamy garden with a homey ambience. They even had a number of lawn chairs for guests to relax and simply enjoy the scenery. While the amount of lavender was fairly abundant, some of the rows appeared a little overgrown to the point where the plants were starting to droop over. Regardless, there were still opportunities to capture some great photos. Additionally, for $7.00, you can pick your own lavender from a specific patch or you can purchase a bunch from their shop if you're in a rush. Before leaving, we stopped by the ice cream stand for a quick treat. Unfortunately, they were out of four lavender flavors and only had Espresso Chip and Raspberry Lavender sorbet (non-dairy) left. I went with the sorbet (5 oz. for $6.50) which was pricey, but I couldn't resist on a sunny day. It was delicious... balanced between tart and sweet with the perfect essence of lavender. We stopped at this lovely farm fairly late in the afternoon and were still able to pick two bouquets, talk with the owner, and let my son try out his new Polaroid-esque camera among the purple clouds. I was here in August. All of the lavender around the gift shop and entrance was harvested, and I didn't venture out to the fields. Smaller farm than others visited. GPS on Google Maps kept telling us we had arrived when we were 1/4 mile down the road, and there wasn't a sign for the farm, so keep going down the road and you'll see it. read more

Beautiful doesn't describe what it's like wandering their grounds. It's more than that. Magical, refreshing, zen-like...that's a good start. Once with a former co-worker on a Port Townsend day trip, another on a family trip to Dungeness Spit when Alex (aka The Homie) was still a little guy. The farm is a quaint, and a beautiful spot. Although the lavender wasn't blooming, there were flowers around the property and a garden in the back. We saw a few animals while roaming around. The bees were very busy pollinating the flowers. If you are interested in buying any of the lavender products from the farm, the shop is only a few miles from the farm in town. All of the staff were very friendly, in the gift shop and at the ice cream shop as well. Prices are on the high side for the ice cream, but that is expected when you're kind of paying for the experience. There was only 2-4 rows of lavender that was just starting to open up, as stated, they are in full bloom towards the end of the month. Such a beautiful and serene place to stop by. First time at a lavender farm so it was super cool! In the front was a large distillery machine for their fresh oil. Pets are allowed on a leash and with clean up! Look, I would have been willing to pay for a Lavender sampler where you put a dollop of each flavor (4) on a plate for a dollar just to see what I want. I dont normally eat lavender flavored foods and to pay 3.50 for a scoop of icecream, I want to know I am going to like it. They would not give any samples. I ended up buying the white chocolate lavender and it was light and flavorful and delicious. But it was a super smalls scoop and I felt ripped off. They could easily make money by offering a taster, a sampler, a "lick of lavender" and charge for it. Get creative. Gift shop is expensive. If you are allergic to bees, this is not the place for you. LOTS of bees but they leave you alone if you leave them alone - they just want lavender. All told, we would come back - cool experience. read more

The lavender ice cream is delightful - and worth the wait! Our family came here in late July for a brief visit after lunch in downtown Sequim. It's an especially kid-friendly farm. The grounds are lovely for photos and you can purchase a small bottle of lavender oil (a few drops can be placed in a facecloth on your pillow), which can help people to relax and fall asleep. Large lavender fields! I love the picnic tables and the Willow trees. Cute set up with different shops. I really enjoyed the ice cream and lemonade booth. The white chocolate lavender ice cream was delicious. The snack pieces of white chocolate melted as you'd eat it and the mini cone was the perfect size! They also have a gift store with a variety of lavender merchandise. The staff was friendly, so we had a very nice visit. And the ice cream! Although not to everyone's taste (the two women in front of me in line got a sample taste and decided they didn't care for it), I loved it! I got the lavender white chocolate ice cream. And also a lavender roy rogers (lavender tea mixed with lavender lemonade). You would think the lavender taste would be overwhelming, but it's not. Seriously a solid lavender farm that has everything under the sun, moon, and stars of all things lavender. I was so impressed with the overall landscape and grounds of this farm. It stretches far and wide, including a beautiful arrangement of their lavender varieties. Parking is free, but few and far between spaces available. Porter potties are located on the property. There is also a really nice refreshment stand on the property that provides various lavender flavored ice cream. I recommend trying the Purple Palmer- a combination of lavender lemonade and iced tea! Beautiful lavender farm in Sequim. I've never been to a lavender farm before, but would definitely visit again as it is a pretty and peaceful experience. We went midweek so there wasn't a ton of people which was nice to explore and take photos. They have a house onsite that I believe you can rent and stay in. Lots of other beautiful flowers on the property, and a nice gift shop. We purchased a lavender salad dressing (it's good!) and a little satchel of lavender smell good bag. read more

Stopped at multiple lavender farms in Sequim while driving through the area on vacation and this one was, by far, my favorite! The fields were pretty large compared to some others. I like that they have different types of lavender, as well. We were able to picnic (with items we had brought along) at a table under a beautiful giant Willow tree. There was also a very cute shop here, in which I bought a couple homemade soaps so that I can now continue to enjoy the amazing smell of lavender now that I'm back home on the East coast. read more

Total opposite of SUNSHINE LAVENDER FARMS. WE LOVE PURPLE HAZE. Not only were the staff highly welcoming and energetic, but they care about the comfort of everyone down to your animals. In fact, while I was taking in the breathtaking lavender fields and the live music venue, there was an announcement for a person with a Toyota SUV to please go get their dog from their car...iterating that pets are welcome. They had a stand where they offered for purchase lavender infused beverages. They also had a tented business offering delicious pizzas!...and if THAT'S not enough, they had live music too!! Wooow I really loved it! The lavender field is big and gorgeous. There are two colors of lavender. You can get beautiful photos. They have a festival in the summer but you can visit on other days. They have another small section with a flower garden. Sit on the bench and admire the little details on the path and around the flowers. There are marbles that shone with the sun. The flowers are very colorful! There is another section with chickens and another one with tables so you can rest and admire the view. The gift shop is small but cute ;) I bought some recepies and lavender seeds to use them in the kitchen! I also bought a pain cream that works marvellous! The staff was very nice and helpful. Drove two hours from Olympia to visit this beautiful farm in Sequim. It wasn't too busy on a Friday afternoon at 2pm but I could see that this place could get very busy and very popular with locals and influencers. We took our time walking around the farm and taking in the beautiful view, also tried their lavender iced tea (average, wouldn't get it again) and lavender ice cream (delicious, would get it again). I thought there would be more props for photo ops, but there were just the purple and yellow rows of lavender and some chairs. I had a pleasant time here and enjoyed the very relaxing atmosphere, took in the lovely lavender scent. Next year I might stick to the farm in Olympia since they are all more or less likely the same. read more

Omg! This is a purple lover's dream come true! We stopped here on our way back to Seattle and I'm so happy we did. The fields of purple are gorgeous! Its sort of a must-do (to visit a Lavender Farm) in the PNW. If you love Lavender or Farms or both, you will enjoy this place. This was our pit-stop from Orcas Island to Port Angeles; there are many in the area. They had just closed when we finally managed to make it here, so we roamed the grounds (the shop will not be open, but you are welcome to roam the grounds) (so no, we did not trespass). Lavender was not fully in bloom, but they have done an amazing job maintaining and landscaping the entire property. There are three large plots of Lavender fields. The back of the property appears to be a house with beautifully planted/decorated flower bushes. They have also got an herb garden to the side of the house. To the front, closer to the entrance, they've got a chicken coup....with...a couple Peacocks! This was a quick stop for us, since they were closed, but I would def recommend this place read more

While visiting our friends who live in Sequim, my husband and I had some free time while they worked for a while. We hit up some beautiful lavendar farms and met some lovely people! What a beautiful little town Sequim is! My day was going great! That is until my very unfortunate experience at Purple Haze Lavendar Farm..... Our time out was coming to an end, but before we went back to our friends house, I wanted to pick her up a thank you gift for hosting my husband and myself. As we drove onto the property, we saw a car pulling out of a parking spot so we parked our car in the same spot. My husband stayed in the car so I could run in quickly to get a gift. As I approached the front of the gift shop, there was a nice young girl off to the left who called me over and said it cost $5 to visit the farm. I told her I wasn't going to pay because I knew I only intended on going in the gift shop. She didn't say a thing as I walked up the stairs and into the gift shop, never intending to walk through the farm. I was inside about 5 to 10 minutes looking around when I felt a firm tap on my shoulder coming from behind me. As I turned around, an older gray haired lady very loudly, ubruptly and rudely told me that it cost $5 to visit the farm and because I didn't pay, I had to leave. I explained that I had only planned to be in the gift shop to make a purchase and that I didn't intend to walk through the farm. She said that it didn't matter because the gift shop was part of the farm and that I needed to leave now as she was shewing me away with her hands like you would some stray animal. I said to her "So you mean you don't want my money from making a purchase in your gift shop?" I was quite confused. She said no that I needed to "Get out!" and that she didn't have time to "argue" with me about it. So I left feeling confused and disappointed by the rudeness. As I was walking to my car she screamed at me that I had parked illegal. I got in the car and told my husband what had just happened. We sat there for a brief moment in shock! Thank you lady for taking what was a lovely day and leaving a nasty taste in out mouth about Sequim! Thinking back on the situation, you could have handled things in many different Kind and polite ways and shown a little class! Who charges someone to go into a gift shop??? read more
