About every type of shot is covered--long and short par threes and fours, forced carries on a few, greens are lightning fast and it's amazing how the fairways are kept so lush and green, seeing how it's in the desert. At almost 7000 feet, your ball carries and rolls forever. Can be windy in the afternoon, so morning tee times are best. Purple Sage is a destination course with hotels nearby or just stop and play it if you have some extra time traveling on I-80. Green fees are ridiculously cheap...wish this course wasn't 800 miles from me. :)

Conditions were excellent with well manicured fairways and greens. Definitely a challenging course with great pure greens, and the length of the golf course was an added hurdle, but from tee to green the course was fantastic. Unfortunately the wind did not agree with that and blew the tent down about 20 minutes before the wedding was about to start. The staff went into super hero mode moving the entire wedding to the patio and the reception indoors. They kept their guests happy with the fully stocked bar and 5 tvs of football while we waited. The wedding turned out beautiful and if you had showed up late you would have no idea that it was supposed to be somewhere else (unless you went down to the course and saw the fallen tent lol). I had an amazing time and my friend looked beautiful and happy with her new husband and the sudden change of plans.

One of the nice amenities was storage for ski's at the bottom of the mountain's. Last year it was free. This year it is $15.00 per night? I'm taking my kids and grandkids for 5 days. 10 people X 4 nights X $15.00 per day equals $600.00 for ski storage. That's ridiculous. They advertise the great shuttle to go back forth from the ski mountains. They used to drop you off at your home at the end of the day. Now they only drop you off at the clubhouse and then you have to drive to your home. So what is the use of the shuttle. Services getting worse and costs going up. This sucks.

Based on…read morethat, I drove over and arrived around 6:45pm, only to be met by Sam, who rather rudely informed me that the range was closing early "today" for no clear reason. It's frustrating enough to get conflicting information, but the attitude made it worse. A little communication and basic courtesy would go a long way. If hours are going to change, especially on short notice, staff should be on the same page--and maybe not act like it's the customer's fault for showing up based on what they were told.
