It used to get fished a lot, but I don't see that as much these days. Fisherman do come more in the mornings. They took out many of the shade trees which was a mistake. They really should have rerouted the roads and expanded this park long ago..bring back the volleyball, add a nice pavilion, bring in loads of sand and expand it to a proper beach. Kids under 12 can fish here without a license, but it is usually slow going. These fish have seen it all, they're the survivors. The surrounding park is open, green, clean and peaceful. Though it has it's issues, it is still a very peaceful spot to relax and have a picnic with the kiddies.

The doors did not close tight unless you pushed extremely hard to lock them and the windows were an arm work out to get them open and closed. They want $15.00/hour or $30.00/ day to fish their private pond that is a total down hill and uphill hike... just ridiculous. It costs about $30.00 for a fishing license and there is water everywhere in the Uintahs. When we first checked in, Susan at the check in was not friendly at all... as the week went by, she became more customer service friendly. We do have to say, the "young" fellow who was at the desk, at check in, at the pool, at check out was extremely friendly and helpful. I regret we cannot remember his name, he deserves high praise.

They have hammock sites (where you could just set up hammocks to sleep in outside), teepees, RV sites, tent sites. Pretty much anything you could want. We went during the week and there was plenty of camping sites available. Though if it was full you would be right on top of your neighbors. Thankfully for us there was hardly anyone there. The camping area is not too far from the boat ramp. So it was easy to take our paddleboards and kayaks down and then drive back up and hit the water. The views here are so lovely. Really so unique. The reds and whites in the mountains and seeing all the rock layers. Make playing in the water pretty awesome. During the day there seemed to be a lot of users. Not as much as some of teh local lakes to me in Colorado but still busy. If you are wanting to rent a watercraft you would want to get there sooner rather than later. Not sure how their rental policy is working now as we brought our own kayaks and paddleboards this time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was calm and peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely come back.

It has a portapotty on site, and little benches for you to sit and fish or just enjoy the view. The possession limit is 2, kids over twelve need a license. There's definitely fish in there, I've caught more than a few myself. But more than anything it's relaxing, and particularly beautiful during the sunset hours.
