Clean and conveniently located. This little place has some small, interesting nuances but all in all it is a Place I'd probably say it again.

If you're looking for a budget motel to just sleep and shower, this your place. We stayed two nights with 4 people on a holiday weekend and paid a total of $198. Plenty of hot water, great water pressure, and clean towels. Newish carpet and linens. Rooms are small. Furniture is older but okay. The room smelled and looked clean. They've added power strips to the outlets for charging your electronics. Free WiFi. No fridge nor microwave which we prefer, but there is an ice machine you can use for your own cooler. Nice location just one block from the local market. No pool or hot tub. No pets. No bikes in the rooms. Assigned parking spaces.

bad pic, but you get the idea. it's a very decent motel~

In trying to find a hotel/motel near Bryce Canyon Nat'l Park, I stumbled upon the Purple Sage Motel and read some other reviews on Travel Adviser and whatnot. They looked pretty positive and the price was reasonable so I went for it. We stopped by for just one night, but were pretty happy with the digs. There's no elevator to the 2nd floor if it matters. But the room as very clean and we were thoroughly impressed with it especially for the price! They also have WiFi but I didn't try to use it. Bryce is only about 20-30 mins away depending on how quickly you drive. There's not too much in the town of Panguitch, but the owners recommended a restaurant 15-20 mins away, which was great! A great place to crash at while going through Bryce for the budget conscious traveler.

Do not let the appearance fool you. We are nearing the end of a 3 week trip and this was one of the nicest motels we stayed in (mostly stayed in 2-3 star chain places like Courtyard). Best shower head of any. Room was very clean. Bed was great. If you're a couple, when one of you moves, the other can hardly tell. Really fast wifi(free btw). Descent new flat screen TV. Air conditioner worked well (we like it cold at night). No fridge or microwave, but they do have a microwave in the office. We would stay here again if we are in the area. The owners are super nice as others have said.

Nice, clean motel. Owner greeted us with a smile. Offered us rags to clean our Harleys.

Nice, clean motel. Cute little patio sets in front of each room. Owner greeted us with a smile and offered is towels to clean our Harleys with. Will definitely stay here any time we are in the Pabguitch area!

Cleanest motel I have ever been in! Comfortable, as well. Highly recommend this little, unassuming place which is so well run.

Bed Bugs and worst management…read more I booked this motel for 2 nights with my family. After a long drive, we reached around 11 PM and got Room 12. Around 1 AM, I woke up from continuous biting and found a bed bug on my hand. When we turned on the light, several bed bugs were crawling on the bed, and my spouse was also bitten. I reported it to manager Anushka and showed her the bugs. She did not seem surprised or concerned. From her reaction, it strongly appeared to me that the property may have already known about this issue but still assigned us that room. The motel was full, so I asked for a refund and another hotel. From about 1:30 AM to 3:30 AM, we sat in the office while Anushka made calls. When I asked what the owner was saying, I was told he had not been called because he must be sleeping. Guests were bitten and awake, but disturbing the owner seemed to matter more. After I insisted, owner Sunny was called. Instead of apologizing, he said pest control had been done recently and I could call the health department if I had concerns. Later he offered his private room, but wanted me to sign a lease agreement, which was unreasonable. We finally slept around 5 AM in his private room which was equally dirty but without bed bugs. We slept just for 4 hours and left next morning, and booked another hotel. We also had to wash and dry our belongings to avoid carrying bed bugs. This ruined our sleep, planning, and vacation. I would not recommend this motel in any condition.

The Indian owner said that he can give me the bed sheet, but we'd have to change it ourselves, which I said that was fine. While on the phone, I also noticed hairs on the pillows and dirty stains on the bed cover. I also ask the owner to bring the pillow sheets and the bed cover, but he is adamant that there are no hotels in the United States that change the beddings everyday..(!!) He also says he has no extra bed covers. I asked him how often he changes them, "every 2-3 days" is his response. He again accentuates that this is "an absolutely common practice in the United States." I'm shocked at his audacity to be honest. Maybe this delusional bonehead really believes in what he is saying. I told him that is not true, and he says "you can go sleep at a different place and pay a $100. We can't change beddings everyday while charging $50." This tells his character in whole. At this point, his nerves must have been struck hard because out of the blue, he tells me write a review, tell the health official, do whatever and see if he cares. His character is really shining through now. He offers a refund for our leave (this rewards him the one star for the review he ill-naturedly requested), which we gladly took. This friendly small town does not have five star $100 hotels, but I found a place to stay just 2 minutes away from this squalid place that is at its cleanest state (Days Inn). The owner of Days Inn was hilarious as she responded to my question of rooms being cleaned out daily "I will raise hell if they don't get cleaned everyday". Thank goodness there exists a hotel in the United States that cleans. The owner simply needed to apologize and provide the clean sheets for us instead of allowing his defensiveness make ignorant statements out of his dim wits. He was impermeable to be reasoned with, his lethal oratory fumes surely challenged my pulmonary capabilities.

Therefore, the fewer choices for non-monopolistic groceries, gas and amenities, like Ruby's. Old Panguitch town is a leisurely 30 minute country drive to the park entrance. Close knit residents serve the town, hospitality, farming and ranching industries. There are a few restaurants, Antique/Gift Shops, 2 grocers, and a Chevron Gas. Oh, you need to hit the State Liquor store if you want booze or Wine. FYI 6/2021 They are currently building a new "Travel Lodge." Managers/Owners David (Cowboy) and Chrissy are friendly, garrulous, accommodating and usually are found on property cleaning, improving or involved with local events. They have clearly assimilated to Utah from Texas. When we arrived we were upgraded to an awesome kitchenette because we did not have TV cable in one room. Since we were hiking and riding, it was great to store beverages and prepare a few dinners comfortably. The grounds are not manicured but clean. The Motel Rooms are rustic and thread-bare worn but they are clean enough for a couple of nights. You might need to drop a few bucks at Joe's or Family Dollar if you want to cook a meal. I did and had fun figuring how to cook and serve a great family Bolognese pasta dish without tongs or a colander. Are there certainly some things that could be improved: another mirror, mounted TV, bathroom layout, clean window treatments, new carpet, basic kitchen tools, a coat of paint, trimming sticking doors, recycling bins, rickety chairs, on and on and on. However, this review of our personal expectations are realistic and tempered with locale, price, convenience and availability. I expected that this would not be the Ritz-Carleton in Paris, France. We needed TP, a wine opener and suggestions beyond the park (Cedar Break) and they were welcoming to those who were as equally friendly and non-judgemental. We don't know what else is out there, but you have our 2-cents for this little, safe and friendly place.
