Wow!! Purple turtle did an AMAZING job!! I brought them my insanely dirty ass, summer camping, sand everywhere, husky dog hair matted in the cloth seats Titan and they had her polished right up looking brand new the very next day!! I had them do a new car bomb and my truck still smells good a week later. Getting a good detail is expensive. Getting a bad detail is also expensive. I so wanted to write a great review, as so many others have done. But I must say that I was disappointed. Yes, most of my newly purchased used Toyota pickup was cleaned as expected, but there were several oversights that should not have occurred, especially when one is paying the extra to have a full TLC cleanup done. First, I found that they had washed out the bed of the truck, but that a thin muddy film remained in much of it. I had to ask them to wipe down the bed to remove this, which they did, but it was something they should have caught and rectified themselves without me having to point it out to them. Later, after I returned home I found trash items and gunk remaining stuck down between the seats, spots of some sticky substance that was not cleaned from the front of the CD player and the door arm rests, and a formerly sticky but now hardened substance stuck to the carpet next to the extra-cab seats. All of these things should have been addressed during the cleaning. I will say that the staff was very friendly. read more

They do a decent job. I had the exterior detail done. They cleaned it about as well as I would have. I took it to them because I was expecting more. Maybe I should lower my expectations. The tire shine they use is cheap and will wear off before you leave their parking lot. Their customer service is great. They missed a few spots of wax on the truck that I wiped off in my driveway, but that's not a big deal. Overall I was glad someone else waxed it. But not impressed with whatever they used to wax it, it didn't shine like I expected. read more

I had a few things done inside my car. But the problem was with the cleaning and shampooing of my car upholstery. My car is only 7 years old. My car went in without any rips in the seams of the seat/upholstery. The technician I left my car with and picked it up from said he didn't see the rip there when he looked at the video. However, when I received my car back after the internal detail, my seat was torn in the seam about 3 inches. The carpet in the rear cargo area had little holes that were NOT there when I pointed out the area to be cleaned to the technician. Whom ever vacuumed and shampooed the upholstery seemed to have pushed too hard and left marks in the rear cargo area and the rip in the seat/upholstery. When I talked to the manager "Daniel" he said it was not there responsibility and the seat was old and they couldn't do anything about it. If that were true, then The Purple Turtle should have notified me to let me know the upholstery in my car was too old to withstand their cleaning process before they cleaned it, the car is only 7 years old. They should have told me there was a chance the seams would rip if they believed them to be too old, so I could make the decision not to do the cleaning. OR, they being "professionals" should have been careful and went around what they said were "stressed areas". They refused to take responsibility for the damage they caused until I got really upset with "Daniel" (the manager). He then called the owner his brother Mr. Duke. That's when they decided they would call an auto upholsterer they knew to see if he could fix the rip. He fixed the rip. But it took me loosing my temper with them to correct a problem they were responsible for. I will never use The Purple Turtle Auto Detailing again because they are NOT "Best In Anchorage". So disappointed . Took my car in for the TLC Interior package. I do a better job myself!! The inside windshield is a mess. I specifically asked to have the floor under the backseat vacuumed and cleaned and it was not touched until I arrived to pick up my car and had to ask them if they did that area and was told they forgot it! It looks like what they did was use a "generous" amount of armorall on the leather seats and floor mats and called it good!! Very disappointed!! read more

Online appt./web page was easy to navigate and understand pricing, drop off literally took a couple of minutes. Car was ready earlier than I expected and picking it up and paying took only a few more minutes than when I dropped it off. Car was thoroughly cleaned and the upholstery was dry. Two years ago we took our 2007 Chevy Cobalt in for interior cleaning and detailing. Upon pick up, the car was amazing, but for 3 weeks my air bag light was on. When I asked them about this they said it is normal because they heavy washed the steering wheel area with cleaning fluids. The light did go away and had no issues but was worried that there could have been. February 28, 2019, we took our 2011 Nissan car in for interior cleaning and detailing. Upon picking up the car, we took a look at the inside to see the work before paying for the service. They did an amazing cleaning from top to bottom. However, we noticed that the driver seat had a 3 inch opening along the side seam of the seat. We pointed this out to them and informed them that this was not torn when we dropped off the car. The individual went back inside and looked at a video and said that it was not torn before they cleaned the seats. Danial the manager said he would get back to us. Several days passed and I called them to see what was going to happen with the seat seam tear. They first stated that the seats were old and that it was not an issue for them. My wife got very upset and asked to speak to the owner about this matter. The manager did not wanting us to talk to the owner, but He said I will call you back in a few minutes. He did call right back and asked us to bring the car back because he has a guy that can fix the seat. We took the car in, they fixed, and it looks fine and should last a long time. At this time I am not sure if we will be going back to them for car interior work again because they should have taken responsibility for this incident and not make this an upsetting experience. So if you plan on utsing this company, make sure you have a video of your interior for damage protection. read more
