Had a pleasant visit at this cat cafe. There are plenty of street parking spots when I visited. The cat cafe is divided into a cafe where you order drinks/bakery and sit, and the cat lounge, which you can do a walk-in appointment or reserve a spot before hand on their website. (cat lounge opens at 11am) This space was beautiful in both area, with plenty of plant and cute spot to take a photo. The staff was very nice and polite. The drinks I got was matcha latte and the chocolate beignet, both were very delicious. They offer student discount for both food/drinks and cat lounge, with a present student ID The space was very clean, and I was impressed by how much work they put in to make sure the cats are well-taken care of as well as keeping the area sanitized and clean. You can adopt the cat directly from the cat cafe since they work closely with the local animal shelter. They offer variety of activities such as Yoga or Painting here. This cat café is not great. We wanted to come here to try some local brews and have the cat cafe experience. Unfortunately, this place was disappointing. We ordered iced lattes and iced coffees. The iced latte essentially had no espresso whatsoever, and tasted like a glass of milk. The iced coffee was very weak. In order to have the cat cafe experience, you have to pay $10 for 30 minutes. There was no credit towards the cat experience when purchasing a coffee in their cafe. My favorite part was the decor. It was super cute. They wanted $35 for a T-shirt. The hostess was super rude as well. I felt like I needed to point that out. For parking, it is street metered parking. There is no charge on the weekends. It's not worth going out of your way for this cafe. Maybe I went on a bad day, but I will not return. read more

I'll just start by saying I love this place. It's the perfect combination of coffee, treats, and cats. I live out of town but try to visit every time I am home now. The offer a variety of coffee drinks with seasonal specials that go with the cat of the month and this waves their adoption fee. The treats are super cute too and all from local bakeries. The vegan ones from Sundae are my favorite. The decor is super cute and they have a nice gift area as well with cat items to choose from. You can bring your snacks and drinks into the lounge to visit many of the kitties inside. I've also been to the Yogas classes which is a great way to relax with some cute friends. I will definitely be back and recommend anyone who loves coffee and cats to visit! read more

This cat cafe is absolutely worth visiting for so many reasons. They have the best selection of locally made desserts, including vegan and gluten-free options. The coffee is very good and brewed from locally roasted beans. There is an amazing selection of cat-themed merchandise for every budget. The cat portion of the cafe is separate but viewable from the dining area. This is great for those who are allergic to cats but love to admire from afar. Purrista hosts events like cat yoga and painting nights which are affordable and provide an activity for those in the community who want to do more than just go to a bar for drinks. I love that the cats are given a clean and comfortable space before they find their forever home. Overall this is such a great spot for those traveling through Erie and for locals. read more

First this place is not a bakery, but it sells baked goods, mostly old, from Herb and Honey bakery. Herb and Honey is a part time bakery only open two days a week at Urbaniaks, and if you can catch their goodies at Purrista at least a day after they've been baked, you will be pleased. Otherwise, I can't recommend anything at this so-called café and I'm not really sure why it's called a café at all. The coffee and other drinks I've tried or not so good. Each time I have been the staff, and I think one of them is the owner, is not nice at all and frankly borders on being rude to just about everybody when I've been there.Maybe call it a coffee shop with occasional pastries, and cats you get to visit, oh if you want to pay to be around the cats. I think it was $10 for a 30 minute visit. Most of my friends will let you come over to their house and their cats will crawl all over you for free. Or better yet go to one of the shelters, they won't charge you and you can actually take one of them home. Frankly it's a really odd place. I am a big cat person, but I don't understand the business model of asking people to pay to be around them. Just an odd place in my book , But the pastries are the best Erie has to offer again if you can catch them when they're fresh, which I think is on Fridays and Saturdays and sometimes on Sundays if they're open. I think they bring in desserts from other makers too, and we only tried the desserts once. Expensive, and the two items we had were not something we would ever buy again. read more
