I went to Purr because I stayed hearing a lot about it. The drinks at happy hour are worth it but food isn't. I tried the wings, shrimp and potato skins. All lacked seasoning and were all missing something. The food has potential but it's pretty bland for what I have had around here. read more

Hubby had the seafood pasta, delicious, seasoning perfect, just the right size. I got fish & chips. Wonderful Cole slaw and house made tarter sauce. Both different but great. Probably the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. The space is entirely open, no barriers, which makes it incredibly loud. I was literally shouting at my date. the waitresses were so unknowledgeable about the menu and beers. The jalapeño poppers were bland, I got brought the wrong beer, then they ran out of 2 beers on tap, asked for bbq sauce, got brought buffalo. So many things went wrong, I can't even remember them all. Will not be returning. read more

This a new restaurant. The hostess was very pleasant, and the wait staff was helpful. I had a sandwich and fries. The food was not spicey, and could use a bit more pep. My lunch partner had a salad which was OK, but could use a bit more kick to it. While we were dining, there was a large contingent of people having a reunion, which made a rather loud dining experience. I will come back again and try something else. read more

Once again, another outstanding meal at Purrr. We took some friends who have never been and they were hooked. Their drinks are amazing and the food is spectacular. The fish tacos, seafood linguine, and the prime rib dip are personal favs. This place is the best kept secret in Yakima. Don't be surprised to find the owner, who is very nice, behind the bar or serving you. The fact that it's 21 and over makes it a nice place to go with another couple or two. My wife and I went to Purrr and the food was great. The service was on the slow side as the wait staff was one person to serve three tables. The thing that lost them more stars was no menu. Scan a QR code to see the menu on a phone. I do not have a QR scanning phone. If I did I would expect to be given the Wi-Fi password so I was not using my bandwidth to look at their menu. No password given. Two-stars tops. read more

We stopped here for dinner on a Friday night. It was not busy The food was Ok and the prices were OK. There was nothing exciting here. Ordered a mohito and they were out of mint! A friend ordered a 22oz beer only to be told they no longer had they on tap. The fries were too salty. I would not go back. read more

I'm so glad Purrr is back open! How we have missed them during the lockdown. Currently they have a slighty smaller menu, but all my favorites were on it, almost like they were thinking of me when they crafted it! Of course all our favorite drinks were available from their amazing bartender. He crafts his own specialty flavored salts and sugars to rim the glasses... a great touch to any delicious beverage. Dinner was amazing, how did the fries get more delicious? I should have taken pictures! Looking forward to going back next week! read more

Been here a couple of times since the place opened. Great food and Amazing drinks! Avocado fries are my favorite! They also have really great French fries. Love that they blend real fruit for all of their fruity drinks and their micheladas are so good as well! Love that happy hour is all day sundays. Only thing I'd say is they do need a wider beer selection. Maybe partnering up with some of the breweries in town would be a good idea. read more

First time going to Purrr for lunch. I am admittedly a foodie, so I was cautious to say the least. Our server, Elyce was outstanding! Funny, smart, friendly and it didn't hurt that she reminded me of my daughter who is also in the food industry. Lunch was very good , had the French dip with yummy, salty hand cut fries. My friends also like what they ordered.... until Elyce highly and I mean highly suggested the snickerdoodle cookie served in a cast iron skillet with ice cream and caramel sauce. Well, now we are best friends with her and will tell anyone and everyone to please visit this restaurant. Hopefully, you will have her as a server. What a gem for Yakima! Such great creativity with mixology. The flavored salts they use are incredibly innovative. Coming from a big city like Seattle, I'm frankly shocked and disappointed how far behind we are in our innovations. They have great options that utilize local fruits. The staff are so friendly and engaging! The only downside I would say from my personality is the bar is too brightly lit. I like to hide. Not the same for everyone so make your own decision. But order the shrimp no matter what! read more

Amazing!!! Drinks and food - wasn't sure since we walked in before dinner rush so was a little empty and felt 'new'. The cocktails were amazing- bar man was really into all details from mixing his own salt and sugar rims and fresh fruit only. The Bloody Mary is sworn to secrecy but let me just say it would stand up to any too Bloody Mary and was quite an offering. The food was sooo good - shrimp app was amazing which only made us order more. The fries were perfect dips were clearly house made and so good. Tried one house salad which was fresh, great dressing and a full plate of good greens and toppings. We had just the classic cheeseburger and the French dip which were easily in the tops of any ive ever had and we tried the avocado fries after loving the perfect cook on the shrimp app. I love avo and am wary for fried avo and it was just done to perfection. Needless to say there was no way to finish or room for dessert. The bar itself it tops for the area! The food is treated right and it must be called purrr for the delight theme. It feels like they will be adding to the decor as they go. It's tasteful but feels new and minimal- could use some mirrors or something to bounce the light but the food and bar quality was tops- here's to their future and our fortune visits. At a place who treats taste like this I'm sure the whole menu is mouth watering good. read more

There was so much hype about Purrr, so my expectations were a bit high. A party of about 8 of us decided to try it out on a Friday afternoon. There was no host stand, so we found our own seat on the couches. We were t quite sure how to be seated as the servers were busy chatting amongst themselves by the kitchen (which they did most of our stay). There were 2 groups of 2 customers in the restaurant, so we figured we'd get our drinks quick - wrong. Apparently their "house" vodka is Tito's, so there's a star for that. I was highly disappointed in the lack of gluten free food options and even more disappointed in the lack of menu knowledge by the server. I understand it's new to them as well, but servers should know the menu and know what is in items. The decor and layout is a little weird. The dining area reminded us of a casual cafeteria, and not an intimate dining space. It's a beautiful space, but doesn't match very well. It's as if they couldn't find their style and used a hodgepodge of decor. The servers are dressed as if they work in a nightclub in very short black dresses which is a little strange for the cafeteria style layout. I hope this restaurant does well, I really do. Yakima needs more restaurants and less fast food joints. We will try again in a few months so see if anything has changed. read more

( Ex bartender rating here) i would rate this a 1 Star but at least it seems like a place I won't get tetanus. The service was friendly but seemed to sacrifice intelligence to sell good looks in a snappy dress with long fingernails. I arrived before a large party and made sure my order for appetizer was put in before they sat down. My appetizer came 20 min after the other guests food. Even then I asked if the app be brought out during main course. It came out before and it was burnt compared to other groups. Ok it happens moving on. I was only having one drink this night so I Tried their signature drink with a flower in it and it was absolutely horrible. I took it as a shot to escape the taste and felt like a waste of a drink. Ok moving on. Ordered the 12oz rib eye med rare with potatoes and tricarrots. Steak looked great but when tasted only had the flavor of burnt charcoal. Carrots were still hard and potatoes lacked any flavor. I usually like to give places the benefit of the doubt having been in the service industry for so long but purrr had to many things going on with it not to write a review. Either they step their game up or I sense a toilet flushing their business away in the near future. My personal experience was not up to par but who knows maybe I had higher expectations read more

Walked in and seated ourselves immediately at noon on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, joining only a few other patrons. We were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by owner/operator Gabby, whom took very good care of us, she seemed to be running the front of the house and the bar during this sleepy weekend lunch rush(?), there were only about 6 of us in the entire place. We were surprised it was so empty, and continued to be amazed at this. He, ordered the Twisted Club with iced tea and She, ordered Fish and Chips with a margarita. Let's get something straight right off the bat; come hungry or be prepared to take leftovers to go, the portions are huge! By no means is there any sacrifice in quality, inventiveness or presentation with the large portions, the food was excellently prepared and tasted delicious. Gabby took such good care of us, making us feel like we were her only customers, checking up on us frequently and even taking the time to chat with us at our table at the end of our meal, about her place, the weather, antiquing and some of life's challenges. Gabby was so warm and inviting, her kitchen staff very clearly skilled and experienced in delivering a quality product in a timely manner.
