Half expecting a little Teriyaki restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised it was much more upscale than I had imagined and has wonderfully innovative menu options. Started with one of their signature cocktails, the ohhh daisy, which was delicious! We ordered a couple apps- the pork potstickers, the soup dumplings and garlic green beans- talk about flavor explosion! absolutely amazing! We got the stone bowl fried rice and blackened salmon with apple slaw.... I wasn't a fan of the fried rice- it was way too salty and kind of gooey/wet? And was an additional $6 for a couple little chunks of chicken in it (kind of ridiculous). So when I read "blackened salmon" I was thinking blackened seasoning or something?-Nope, it was literally just charred black. Had no flavor other than "burnt", but at least it was tender- a glaze or a marinade would have been nice. Had super high expectations after those apps and the salmon seriously fell short.... The apple slaw that came with it was to die for though! flavorful and the perfect combination with the sweetness from the apple, tang from the mango, a bit of spice from the jalapeño, and a touch of acidity- super refreshing on a 90+ degree day! We have always loved EZ Tiger in the past, we just returned home from the horrible service, in which the waitress, Journey, didn't put in one of items,and when we questioned her about it, she just said the item takes awhile to cook, which in the past it was one of the things that came out the fastest *Bejing Dumplings....they were horrible tasting, the garlic green beans - a family favorite in the past, were not cooked propertly. We left half of our food, not worth bringing home....after dinner we waited a good 25-30 mins for the ticket, during our time at the restaurant, not once did anyone come and ask how the food was or anything. I wanted to love this place but sadly it was just - meh. There were 6 and a baby in our group. We ate outside, we didn't have a reservation and they had some large parties inside. The outdoor area is really nice although the chairs aren't very comfortable. It took a long time for a server to come to our table, at least 10 min before they came to ask for drink order. By that time we were ready to order our meals as well and the server seemed annoyed. i don't recall seeing anything on the menus or tables that informed guests that the meals were served family style and food was brought out as it was ready. Two guests ordered spicy peanut noodles, two ordered kung pao chicken and two of us ordered smash burgers. No food was delivered for a very long time. The rice dishes came out first. Followed by the noodle dishes within a couple minutes. the 4 guests either rice or noodle dishes were basically done eating before the smash burgers came out, at least 20 min later. When we asked about the delay we were told it's family style so food comes out as it is done. We also were given multiple excuses about large parties. No Apologies were offered. when the smash burgers finally arrived i Will say they were delicious. The other two dishes were fine but nothing special and certainly not worth the price. The king pao chicken was mid at best and there was nothing special about the noodles. The lavender crème brûlée was the absolute highlight of the meal and only redeeming quality of the meal. The serving staff were not attentive or friendly From the very beginning despite our friendliness - long before having to inquire about the smash burgers. I enjoyed the Bejing Dumplings, but I felt like they were overpriced for what they were. They were a very simple flavor with chili oil and eel sauce doused over the top. The dumplings themselves were very reminiscent of the Costco dumplings, pretty chewy and simple. You get 6 dumplings for 16 dollars. First time trying this place in at least 5 years. The ambiance is amazing here. The layout is super nice with traditional dining room seating, bar seating, kitchen bar seating and also an outdoor patio. The big windows that let in a lot of natural light are amazing to have as well. The server we had was super friendly and accommodating. Eating with someone with allergies can be tough but the server was knowledgeable about the food and helped make recommendations. The food, however, was hit and miss. Some of the food was super flavorful while others seemed lackluster. Presentation on all was very nice though. The bulgogi tacos and lettuce wraps were our favorite that we got. We do wish the lettuce wraps had more chicken in them though. The thing we found most lacking was the cucumber salad. The texture was nice but they didn't taste like much. Hours say open until 8 pm on Tuesday but my wife and I walked in yesterday, St. Patrick's Day, you told us we can't be served and it was almost 7:30. We frequented the establishment until yesterday. I don't know if the waiter is just lazy or this is company policy but my money was spent at Yakima steak company instead who also close at 8pm but seated us and served us with a smile and a great meal. The korean fried chicken and brussel sprouts were divine! I couldn't stop eating them! Flavor explosion in my mouth. The pot stickers were just okay, nothing special. We got wings and dumplings to share. Each couple then got a main dish to share. We had Pad Thai with chicken. They were a tad heavy handed with the fish sauce for this recipe. Holy moly I can't believe I haven't tried this place before. Outstanding! The are the only soup dumplings I've encountered outside Seattle, and they were light and flavorful. I could have eaten double the amount, except I had to try their tasty Bao-type dumplings, one with pork belly and one with mushrooms, which were equally perfect in their fluffy little pouches like fat Chinese tacos. I washed them down with a local dry rose. I'd hoped to enjoy the yuzu tart for dessert, but they sold out, so I had another tasty glass. The ambiance, decor, and service are excellent as well. It feels disconnected from the outside, like a calm and beautiful secret garden. My server was nice, prompt, helpful, and not pushy at all, which I always appreciate. I asked for Edamame with Garlic Butter to be served with our drinks as an appetizer..."yes, ok you got it sir"... then 20 minutes later my wife's meal shows up, 5 minutes later the appetizer, 5 minutes later my entree. Poor planning or service can destroy what could have been a great meal. My bother had the same experience last month but I wrote it off as I like the food. EZ Tiger is a dim sum and noodle house with signature cocktails. Customer service is excellent and the food is really clean, but portions are small, prices are high and food is lacking flavor. They're best known for the stone bowl fried rice. We had the spicy peanut noodles, stone bowl fried rice, and Thai herb salad. It was my first time trying Napa cabbage and it was crunchy, crisp with a hint of sweetness. The cashews, mint, and Thai basil were the perfect touch. It's a refreshing salad. The spicy peanut noodles were the favorite. It has lots of potential, one piece of bok choy and too much sauce. I've learned that I'm a fan of udon noodles though! Overall, I was disappointed in the salad. The pork dumplings were good, but I've had better. The chicken pad Thai was good. Enjoyed it a lot. But the amount in the family style bowl was pretty small for the price. The customer service just feels lacking here. They don't check in much. The water has no ice in it. Very underwhelming. Service is not the best and even though our server was kind, it was a slow and unsatisfactory experience. There is no professionalism or restaurant etiquette in sight and no one is as attentive as it should be for the price point. I paid upwards of $300 and truthfully do not feel that the food nor the service is deserving. Food was okay and somewhat well-presented but nothing more. We tried several things off the menu and while the dishes are edible and fulfilled the immediate hunger, they aren't anything to write home about -- not very flavorful, large serving of rice with minimal protein and for me personally, not intended for the targeted audiences. This could be improved and perfected, I am certain. Overall, the entire experience is very bland and lackluster. Additionally, when I went to pay, the hostess had zero skills, let alone customer service skills -- she didn't utter a single word unless I asked and then seemed bothered by me even asking for a pen to sign. This was the location my brother chose for his birthday but I personally would not return for myself or entice friends to try it. It actually took much longer than expected to be able to draft the review for this place. After the news broke that Wahluke would be closing, we were seriously in mourning for about a week. Ironically, the day the news came out of the closing and then the subsequent re-opening of this restaurant, we had been discussing how nice it would be to have some better Asian cuisine in town. At the heart of all this, it's nice to know that there is a restaurant group that is excited about the prospects for the area and is committed to good food! We initially came in for the soft opening and were able to sample some of the menu items. Since then, we've been back twice and have explored the menu a little further. We've definitely like what we've seen. Of all the items we've tried, the ones that really stuck out as superb we're the Ahi Poke, the fried rice, the Szechuan ribs, the ribeye, and the pork belly buns. The Ahi Poké Is supremely fresh, paired delightfully with a citrus sauce and some awesome crispy rice - the dichotomy of textures is delightful! The fried rice is reminiscent of bibimbap with crispy rice at the bottom, an egg stirred in and tons of veggies - excellent! The pork belly buns were the best I've ever had - amazing flavor (it was very similar to Peking Duck!) and some cloud soft buns that cradled said pork belly like a newborn child! If you didn't catch it, those were the favorite item. The ribs were perfectly done with Szechuan peppercorns that gave just enough spice without tons of heat. The ribeye was equally awesome - medium rare, sliced thin and served with wasabi and dumpling sauce. It was magic! The Dan Dan noodles are solid with a really nice sauce and the EZ Tiger noodles were very good as well. The spot where they'll improve are the dumplings. The inside of the shrimp dumplings was just a bit soft and the noodle was just a bit chewy. We found this was the case for both the shrimp/pork and the veggie dumplings. Easy fixes and didn't detract from the overall experience. Drinks are excellent and the same as during the Wahluke days! The rolls is my best half's favorite drink and I've taken a liking to the non-alcoholic options. The paper tiger and the tora unhinged are two of my favorite drinks currently! I've enjoyed the St. Anjou, the Laughing Crow and the Joel, but found the "kid" drinks as I've come to call them, exceptionally refreshing and really nice to sip on. It's great to have something other than a Shirley temple when I'm not in the mood for a libation! Also, if you're thinking - This dudes going soft! Worry not, we had some Sake and all three options were excellent. The dining area is split into the chefs counter where everything is prepared and the dining are (formerly the lounge) is perfect for a relaxed dinner. The ambiance is left coast chill with nice background music and sliding walls that open into the courtyard. There are currently a few tables outside with more coming. It's a great spot to eat as the sun is going down! The folks here have produced another fantastic restaurant that fills a huge culinary need in the area. We're really excited to see them continue to innovate and thus far have largely loved what we've seen - Go check the place out, it's worth your time! read more

Finally after wanting to try this place for a long time, I did so today in between lunch and dinner. I ordered the Kung pao chicken for $17. What I got was a giant bowl of plain jasmine rice with maybe 5 ounces of meat on top. There was some rather offensive rap music playing throughout the whole establishment, with lyrics that were quite inappropriate. About every other word in the song was edited out. Honestly I can't think of any reason why I want to go back. The menu is so limited, the prices are very high, and my experience that the portion was tiny. The chicken was good, but only enough to go with about 1/5 the amount of rice in my bowl. The ambulance was a wide-open room with lots of tables, no decor nothing on the tables but plates with a fork and a knife and a napkin. No thanks! read more

I love everything about EZ Tiger! The various seating options include comfortable chairs seated facing the open kitchen where you can watch the chef-magicians cooking. Even the water glasses impressed me, which, of course felt great in my hand when drinking water. I followed my waiter's advice and ordered the Beijing dumplings...excellent taste and perfect texture. Next I had the Poke nachos, so perfect. I finished with the Thai herb salad with grilled shrimp, so full of fresh herbs I almost ordered a second salad to go. The house cocktails were savory and sweet at the same time. How do they do that?? Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, a rare combination!
