I am writing a review of Hometown Trailer Sales & Service in Butler, PA, highlighting the…read moreexceptional wheel bearing service and customer support that I experienced recently from Jamie & Bruce with the organization. My wife and I recently traveled for 10 mouths out west and back so I wanted to have the wheel bearings repacked, I had talked with several trailer service companies and mobile RV techs while on our journey and received estimates of $300-400 to service four wheels. Hometown Trailer Sales completed the job out the door for $150 and that included new seals, shop fees, and tax. All I can say is, great service at an exceptional price! My 37' Grand Design travel trailer was serviced by Jamie who has 30+ years of experience working on trailers and RVs. It was clear Jamie understands the importance of well-maintained wheel bearings for the safety of taking your RV on the road. Jamie proved to be skilled in diagnosing and repairing any issues concerning wheel bearings, ensuring our trailer is roadworthy and reliable. He took the time to educate me on all aspects of wheel bearing maintenance, suspension, and brakes. In addition, I asked to enter the shop after the wheels were removed to take pictures of the wheel/axle/suspension assembly for my own knowledge and awareness.... Jamie was very accommodating and provided additional insight concerning each of the areas for future maintenance. In talking with Bruce and Jamie, it was clear the organization prides itself on providing exceptional customer service with integrity. As a customer, I felt they treated me with respect and provided professional service with a commitment to excellence. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy trailer repair shop, I strongly recommend Hometown Trailer Sales. Contact Bruce and Jamie to schedule an appointment and learn more about their services. The issue started out with the car having multiple mechanical issues within the first two days. I initially tried to go down in person and contact them but the only thing I received was a door shut in my face and no return phone calls. By the end of May I contacted an attorney as well as a dispute with my bank. Currently the company has made multiple public post saying that they have contacted me and attempted to work things out with me such as offering to pay for the repairs or returning my money but while they have posted this publicly on Facebook I have not received any actual communication from them since May 31st. I have asked them to provide proof that they tried to contact me on their end with a date stamp including but they still cannot provide that information because it did not happen. If you value the safety of the vehicle you are actually leaving with you should definitely buy from someone else don't even bother looking at these vehicles unless you're willing to put your family and yourself at risk. Also if they're able to on pages they will hide and delete reviews and comments that are negative. Make sure you check out their reviews on cars.com as well as their complaints with the BBB and reviews on there.

I spoke with the staff at this location at 2 pm Saturday, 5 hours before they close. They scheduled my pickup for today, Sunday at 7am. Instead of having my truck at the front, I get here and the idiots give me keys to a truck all the way in the back, completely trapped and blocked by 13 trucks and no way out. have been here for almost two hours waiting for these jerks to "open". On top of that I have a funeral to go to and now my whole day is ruined.

I got there and the worker said "they tried calling you, but couldn't get through to leave a message because it asked for a signature ID, but your part is on back order." I told him nobody called me because my phone never even rang. Then I said they could have emailed or used the texting service I signed up for and he stated they do not have access to that. He told me my best option is to go to Craigslist and buy a used one and bring it in and they will install (which another UHaul store said is against their policy and they are not to install 3rd party hitches). I told him give me a refund and I'll go elsewhere for the hitch. I found a hitch at another store down the road, called back for an install appointment and they doubled the labor because it wasn't their part, even though he suggested it. The customer call center told me I'm not going to get another price if that's what I'm trying to do. Horrible all around.
