Without going into a long rambling explanation, I had to sue a business in New York. I live in California. When it comes to the process and rules of courts, they sometimes differ from city to city. I found they differ drastically from California to New York. I found Westchester Judicial Process, LLC on the Internet. I hired Mr. Marr to do a simple service of process on the defendant. That was before I found out how different the court rules are in New York. After several phone conversations, Mr. Marr realized that I was getting frustrated. He took it upon himself to find out what area of New York the defendant's business was , and in which court to file the summons. He put me in touch with the court to find out the filing rules and about setting up a zoom hearing. At first, Mr. Marr didn't even bill me for his time. At one point I told Mr. Marr that I expected to pay for his time and effort. I did get a bill, but in no way did it reflect the amount of time spent, phone conversations, and e-mails that were exchanged. Okay, I'm rambling! Didn't want to do that. Needless to say, the case never went to court. Even before I found Westchester Judicial Process, I spent many weeks trying to come to an agreement with the opposing business. With my consent, Mr. Marr acted as a mediator/arbitrator and contacted the defendant in the hopes of settling the case. He spent several weeks that involved; phone calls, texts, and e-mails before he was able to convince the defendant that a lawsuit would not be in his best interest and that a settlement would be best for all involved. Thanks to Mr. Marr I avoided a hearing and everything worked out.
