It had been nearly 8 years since I last placed this course, up until today. I went to check in for…read moremy tee time and the staff member behind the counter did want to say much. I had to ask which 9 I was playing. When it came time to play, it came down to course conditions. Fairways are firm and the greens are almost non existent. Dead and I'm cared for by the golfers. I even saw a foursome of older guys playing and because his putt was bad he smashed his putter into the green. When it came to pace of play we finished our round just under 4 hours but had a group behind us who played from the red tees with the need to hit into us twice. First time the ball almost pegged my partner within a foot of him and I told them it's a blind hole just check next time you hit. Second time was 2 holes later and they dud the same thing. Got to the tee hit and didn't care another group was in front of them. It's as if people buy a tee time and expect they own the course. Later on I saw them looking in bushes and creeks for balls taking their time cause they were on the back 9. Bad playing conditions, bad golfers booking tee times, Golfers beware. Yes this course is cheap but those are filled with "Golfers" who want to rush through as fast as possible pissing of people, acting entitled and destroying a course that was once really decent and worth 4-5 stars now 2, if that.

There is information on each species and hands-on activities like dusting for dinosaur prints. Everything is on the honor system so your donation goes in at the beginning but they also have a gift shop which is really great considering that no one is there watching. It restores my faith and humanity to know that people are so honest. It does say this is a dog friendly activity, but a tied up barking dog on the other side of the fence made part of the journey a little bit difficult for my small dog. She was almost as frightened by the neighbor's dog as I was of some of the exhibits I went through that had sound and scared the heck out of me. They don't call it backyard terriers for nothing :) but it's all in fun. Don't be afraid of the parking even though it can get a little tight. We had fun and this is definitely an affordable way to kill some time and keep the kids busy while they learn.

It was free with a suggested 5 dollar donation. We donated before we knew what we were getting into but darn it, we were SO IMPRESSED!!! There must have been 50 dinos over acres and acres of land. I got in a good mile of walking there. What a fun way to spend an hour or two!

Needed to burn an hour or two and what better place than the driving range. Found that it was…read morenearby, borrowed some clubs, and took the trek over. Past the smell of cows and climbing up the hill, you'll find Ridge View. It's about as good of a range as you can get, no frills, just you, a bucket of balls, and hitting the heel of your club (see pic). The picture someone uploaded about bucket prices still holds. It's cash only so prepare for that. There are a few mats and plenty of space for hitting off the grass if you prefer that. Absolutely worth it.

Either way, it's a good driving range. They sometimes struggle to keep their mats, etc. in good condition... but this is one of the only public/full size driving ranges in the area, so they're almost overused.
