Dr Puzio was very engaging and put me immediately at ease. He was very thorough in his examination. In fact, he discovered a long standing problem I've been accepting most of my life. Every eye doctor I've visited had not identified the issue as he did. His questioning and subsequent testing confirmed I had double vision. And for the first time my lens prescription included correction for this limitation. The day I received my new lenses was amazing. I could see for the first time without having to adjust my glasses for the double vision. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a competent and compassionate eye care provider. read more

He became hostile and belligerent when I told him the service was covered under my insurance. Dr. Puzio plays around with the insurance. I thought surely it was a mistake when he over charged me $22 but then when I took my daughter and he demanded $80 for a covered service it was no mistake. Seems if he over charges the customer for covered services it is not insurance fraud but don't let his charm fool you about how he is stealing from you. My insurance company called him and he corrected it immediately. I was embarrassed that my 20 year old daughter had to see a "professional" acting in that manipulative aggressive manner. An odd encounter. I told him I wanted new frames, and even asked him about lenses I had heard about that are good for use with computers, but after the exam he told me my old glasses were fine, and not to change them. He knew I had vision insurance that gave me a subsidy towards glasses or contacts, but didn't show me any frames in his shop, and didn't write me a new prescription so I could order something elsewhere. I'm not going to let the subsidy go unused. Luckily I still have a prescription from last year that I can use. read more

Been seeing him for over 20 years and have referred others because of he provides great service and extremely good at explaining changes due to age in my eye health. I have been going to Dr. Puzio for 11 years and now my husband and daughter go to him too. He has been an incredible healthcare professional and really takes great care of us! He takes his time and really treats me like I am the most important patient he has (even though I know lots of people see him). I love the personalized service we receive and am THRILLED that we have access to such great care in our community. Dr. Puzio is the best! Very professional and thorough yet we always manage to have a few good laughs while I'm there. I have learned so much about my eyes since I've been to to him. All I can really say is: after seeing Dr. Puzio, I can see things I never could before. I've had 3 different eye doctors before him and was never unhappy (switched providers whenever I moved) but none of them found that I have a slight lazy eye, and had essentially no depth perception as a result. Dr. Puzio found it, prescribed a prism in the lenses to fix it, and -- can I just say how amazing it is to actually see the world in 3D? it was like I went from watching a normal movie to watching a 3D movie, an incredible transformation (I still can't believe this is what I've been missing for *years*). He's super thorough, treats patients with respect, and is frankly the best eye doctor I've been to. read more

Dr Puzio had one tough customer walk in- my father, who is 90 years old with several eye issues and loss of hearing - this exam was going to be difficult. My Dad needed prism and his vision could not be corrected to 20/20. I saw another yelp review that stated Dr Puzio had really helped him with the prism he prescribed, and I was hoping he could help my Dad. After a long, thorough visit Dr Puzio was able to put my Dad into new( much needed- able to see!) lenses and even very stylish frames. Dr Puzio was very, professional, thorough and patient. I found Dr. Puzio on my list of approved providers from my insurance company and he was the only independent provider, so I decided to go with him. I have to say, hands down, he gave me the most THOROUGH eye exam that I have ever received!! I have never had someone so invested in my eyes and how they function. For the last 10 years or so I have suffered from migraines and I had been to every specialist (including eye doctors) to find the etiology of them. I had been told that it was just "a thing" and was told to take medicine. BUT I still suffered terribly. When I saw Dr. Puzio I didn't tell him that I had migraines (because it was so second nature to me at that point) and he asked me questions about my vision and my migraines. He was able to tell me, for the first time ever, about being a convergent seer which is probably the cause of my migraines. The cure? A simple prism in my lenses. (How come the other 12 or so eye doctors over 10 years at those chain places didn't recognize that?) Happy to say I have had NO migraines since I have seen him in January 2015. He gives you an appointment time but takes his time and goes through all the motions with you and explains his reasoning for everything. He does not rush you, and answered all of my questions. I learned so much from him and I am really indebted to his diagnosis. I plan on seeing him for as long as he is open! I recommend EVERYONE to him now :] My mom went to him, and she equally sang his same praises. My husband plans on seeing him next. I highly recommend his services!! read more

My nine year old daughter has struggled in school, particularly reading, and was put into a special education program in January of 2016. A few months later, we went to Dr. Puzio, for a routine eye exam. Dr. Puzio had never met my family before, but he immediately noticed that my daughter tilted her head. He asked her why she tilted her head, if she was tires easily and if she get a lot of headaches. Dr. Puzio then asked me if she had any difficulties in school. I explained that it was thought that she was dyslexic and she had recently entered a special ed program. Dr. Puzio conducted a thorough exam and found that my daughter is far sighted, has astigmatism and suffers from accommodative insufficiency (AI) and that her learning difficulties likely stem from these vision disorders. I am happy to say that my daughter had reached 80-90% of the learning goals by the end of third grade! These are goals that were set to be met by 2017! She no longer falls asleep in class and is headache free! Her self-esteem has increased and she is once again enjoying reading and playing sports! Thank you Dr. Puzio for recognizing the signs of AI of my daughter and for providing her with the tools to rebuild her self confidence. read more
