I have been going to this facility for a while now and most of the time am blessed with having her as my nurse. Lacye always goes above and beyond, she is very soft-spoken, gentle and is so good at explaining things in simple ways for you to understand. I had an issue yesterday and I called the office; she returned my call and was able to address my concerns in a calm reassuring and professional manner. Thank you Lacye, for the advice that you gave me this morning it is working. Thank you always for your helpful and caring manner. I met Kate for the first time on Monday, May 18, and was impressed with her. She is a very capable, helpful and caring assistant to Dr. Roat.

I had excellent experiences with Dr Brilliant (now retired) and Dr. Nancy Crawford (Glaucoma). I did see several different Drs for Narrow Angle Glaucoma, Endophthalmitis, Retina issues, Uveitis, Scleritis, RoP, Macular Degeneration, etc. I followed my last Retina Dr. to her new system. The wait time at all eye Drs is long. I have never had an extreme wait time. My sadness was the repeated turnover in Drs for my retina and uveitis conditions. The front desk in Springfield could use some customer service training.

I was waiting for someone I accompanied to an appointment and overheard nothing but complaining from her to other staff members. I can blatantly tell that this person is a problem child as the other staff member kept telling her things like just ignore it, don't push an issue that's non existent etc. To top it off she said out loud she has a cold coming on and did not have her face properly covered with her mask at certain points. She also did not correct a patient that did not have their mask on correctly. This gentleman walked in and boldly stated what a joke it was that he had to wear that thing (mask). There was a patient that was pregnant in the waiting room. I would think that they would hold the people that greet their patients held to a higher standard.

When I arrived for my first appointment with Dr. Roat at this office, the first and only thing I saw through the glass doors to the suite was the optical store. I understand that this is quite common; however I work in a helping profession myself and am very turned off by medical practices that feature commercial products.
