I have been going to this facility for a while now and most of the time am blessed with having her as my nurse. Lacye always goes above and beyond, she is very soft-spoken, gentle and is so good at explaining things in simple ways for you to understand. I had an issue yesterday and I called the office; she returned my call and was able to address my concerns in a calm reassuring and professional manner. Thank you Lacye, for the advice that you gave me this morning it is working. Thank you always for your helpful and caring manner. I've tried everything I was told to do without any relief. I was convinced it was something else - so I went to this office for a second opinion. It's Penn right - it has to be good. I had a good experience in the office & felt like they took me seriously & gave me a thorough exam. They confirmed nothing was wrong - and it was dry eye giving me the blurred vision. I left & continued the drops & night gel & still nothing works And i continue to have severely blurred vision. 2 more months & I couldn't stand it & looked for a third opinion & made an appointment with Wills Eye 2000 Hamilton Street in Philadelphia. I saw a Dr. Harris - who within 5 minutes into examining me said - you have mild dry eye - which absolutely is not the cause of your problem. An hour later after many tests I was properly diagnosed with posterior capsule opacification (PCO) & am scheduled for a YAG laser capsulotomy next week. It's a quick outpatient procedure for a fairly common problem that should restore my vision. Thank you 2000 Hamilton Wills Eye. Penn Eye Media - you had a big miss here.

Open, bright, clean, spacious, plenty of charging ports, TVs that update you on the status of your loved one. Multiple bathrooms. No complaints about the waiting area. The staff were all amazing. From Diana who did my registration paperwork to the nurses (Jennifer, TRICIA, and Wanda), to the nurse anesthetist (Maria) to the anesthetist (Dr. Lay) - everyone made me feel SO COMFORTABLE. I've also been the breast center and the women's center this year. I was in and out of both appointments really quickly. I truly can't say enough about the outpatient surgery process, though. It was extremely comfortable and pleasant and everyone was sickeningly nice.

I was waiting for someone I accompanied to an appointment and overheard nothing but complaining from her to other staff members. I can blatantly tell that this person is a problem child as the other staff member kept telling her things like just ignore it, don't push an issue that's non existent etc. To top it off she said out loud she has a cold coming on and did not have her face properly covered with her mask at certain points. She also did not correct a patient that did not have their mask on correctly. This gentleman walked in and boldly stated what a joke it was that he had to wear that thing (mask). There was a patient that was pregnant in the waiting room. I would think that they would hold the people that greet their patients held to a higher standard.

I did see several different Drs for Narrow Angle Glaucoma, Endophthalmitis, Retina issues, Uveitis, Scleritis, RoP, Macular Degeneration, etc. I followed my last Retina Dr. to her new system. The wait time at all eye Drs is long. I have never had an extreme wait time. My sadness was the repeated turnover in Drs for my retina and uveitis conditions. The front desk in Springfield could use some customer service training.
