This was after my brother showed them the old batteries, the store employees claimed there would be nothing wrong. So he spent $150 on two batteries when lo and behold they don't work with our chargers. He goes back for a refund and they have no sympathy for putting us out $150. The same employees only suggest buying the correct chargers for an extra $70 each on top of money we already spent. Awful service and no thought. I asked three different employees for help locating magnets and was repeatedly given vague directions across the store without anyone verifying the location or offering to assist further. Despite following the instructions, I was unable to find the item. One employee did not make eye contact and provided directions without looking at me, while another appeared irritated when I asked for help and again when I requested she show me the location. At checkout, I shared my experience with the cashier and was informed that one of the employees involved was the store manager, Patrick, which was especially disappointing. This experience has left me no longer a fan of Hobby Lobby. Customer service matters. Please do better.

Unfortunately, the checkout experience completely ruined this visit. There were only self-checkout registers open and just one employee assisting customers. When one of the registers double-scanned an item, I needed help to fix it. It took nearly 20 minutes to get assistance because the single employee was overwhelmed helping multiple people. I understand staffing challenges happen, but waiting that long just to fix a scanning error is frustrating and unacceptable. If the store is going to rely primarily on self-checkout, there needs to be adequate staff available to assist customers quickly when issues come up. Great products, but the checkout process seriously needs improvement.
