Employees are very friendly and welcoming; and they're certainly willingly to answer any questions. They used to have more stock of pokemon cards (it's near the checkout centre aisle), but the workers also said it was hard to keep up the demand. It is a lovely kids' store with items for children of all ages. They have Aaron's thinking putty, crystals, stuffed animals, games, legos and etc. It's a good store to stop at with the kids as a break in between shopping at the other stores on 2nd street. They also have gift wrap service available, ask at the cashier. I'm unsure if it costs extra though.

It feels like a toy store of 40-years-ago got whisked through time to today. It has all kinds of little wind-up and pull-back-and-go cars, trains, and things as well as tons of classic/vintage games, candies, and the like. You can always come in and find something interesting or fun and they're almost always less than $10. Whenever we come to Rehoboth and this place is open, we take our son (now 3) there and let him pick one toy. Some of his favorite toys are from there including a pull-back-and-go school bus (the first toy he ever picked out for himself) and a pull-back-and-go train (which still sits up by his bed in his room). Sometimes, you also just need to pop in to get away from the crowd outside. I was walking for a while and came upon the storefront. The windows drew me in, plus I was in need of a good, new book to read. I came in and had no idea how large this place really was from the outside. I wandered around inside until I found the sections I wanted to be in. I browsed for a bit, jumping from section to section. I had one book in mind and was out to find it. Unfortunately, the book was not yet released. I had to ask where it was. That's when the staff were super nice and told me the date. I thanked them for the information, and was about to leave. That is until I saw an amazing tote behind the counter that had a print from the my favorite book when I was little. 'The Monster at the End of the Book' I thought the tote was just one sided, having Grover saying 'You turned the page.' Only to come and discover that when you turned it to the other side it has him saying 'You turned ANOTHER page.' Quickly became my new favorite tote to take with me.

The one we visited in Rehoboth Beach, DE was one of the most gorgeous, eye catching, incredible displays of color I've seen in a while. Their design team deserves a Pulitzer Prize for stagecraft. They have candies and chocolates and sodas of every description, plus clothing, souvenirs, and some really cute toys. We had a blast wandering through their displays before we picked up two dolphin stuffies for the grand kids, a Snickers covered chocolate pretzel, and a Rehoboth Beach bumper sticker for under $18. Sugar Planet was quite an amazing place to visit.
