Bottom Line: A store jam packed full of puzzles with a sprinkle of brain teasers, games and books…read more My enthusiasm for puzzles is bordering an addiction so I decided it was time for the trek to Lewes to visit Puzzles. When you enter the store you have to side step a display of puzzles and I love that. I was fortunate when I visited that my husband and I were mostly the only people in the store. The store is so full of puzzles that there isn't room for many people to simultaneously explore the aisles. Shopping the full collection often requires crouching down and shuffling through the stacks. If treasure hunting isn't your thing the staff are always friendly and eager to help. After checking out the shelves and stacks I finally selected three puzzles. Here are some of the brands that I browsed while in the store: Art & Fable Clementoni Cobble Hill Eeboo Eurographics Heye MasterPieces New York Puzzle Co. Piatnik Pomegranate Ravensburger Schmidt Suns Out I also noticed that they had a huge selection of puzzles from Heritage including some of local Delaware sites and generic beach images. As far as puzzles with local images, they also had some puzzles made by Lantern Press. I mostly looked at puzzles in the 300 to 1,000 piece count range but the store carries puzzles that have much fewer pieces, including children's' puzzles, and puzzles that are in the 40,000+ range from Educa and Ravensburger.

We were glad we came here because everything was super educational and interesting to our kids. It was a relaxing environment and we felt at ease shopping during the pandemic. The store is very small, it is difficult to social distance yourself. We came around closing time so we had the store to ourselves. They did their best to keep the store clean and organized. We made sure we sanitized ourselves upon exiting. We are glad we stopped here.

This store had so many amazing and colorful kites. The toy selection was overwhelming, but in a good way. They had so many activities for indoor on a rainy day of late evening and so many for the outdoors. Pricing was not to bad. It was honestly a mixture or pricing. There was one male employee who was attentive and helpful. He explained a few of the games to my friend. Truly a great store to check out!

Annie, "the Nanny at the Beach," runs the store. It's a pleasure having a conversation with her, and she managed to win my 21 month old son over in a few minutes. This toy store is filled with just the right amount of toys, and the selection is spot on for interests of all ages. Better yet, the store is well-organized and the prices are extremely reasonable, especially considering the prime location (not to mention the exorbitant rent!) My son left with a Melissa & Doug airport truck, luggage carrier, and airplane, a Blue Angels replica plane, a die-cast metal airplane, and a few plastic beach toys. I would go back in a heartbeat, and would much prefer to frequent toy stores such as these, which conjure up the toy stores of yore... it's hard not to feel like a child again in Tide Pool Toys!

The other one was cool but didn't take us all day so we grabbed a bite and decided to see if there was anything else around. We found this little place 20 minutes out of the way. Google said they had classic Beast Wars toys. That's our jam. This place was everything we wanted the first one to be. Great selection of classic toys. Especially 90's X-men. Totally reasonable pricing and most were brand new. Even G1 Transformers still boxed up. So we decided to ask if the owners had anything in the back that wasn't out yet and BAM! G1 Dinobots in the box came from the back! They also showed us a lot they just picked up but won't be on the shelf for a few weeks. :( The owners were so awesome. They are super passionate about collecting and helping others collect. That's why they don't have their prices like most places. I mean where ya gonna get unopened classic X-Men for $5?!? ARE YOU CRAZY?!? Batman the animated series. Large wrestling section. Ninja turtles(not in boxes but bagged). Yes, it sells t-shirts and flip flops and other things but there are other souvenirs, small items, cookbooks even that make this store stand out.
