An unexpected urgent care visit led my family and I to this indoor public market. As we were leaving the urgent care to head to our airbnb in Mason, we saw the public market sign, reminiscent of the Seattle Public Market sign. We initially decided to drive past by but since we were in the area, we decided to give it a try and actually go inside. Glad that we did. This is a cool spot to stop in and look around if you're in the area. It gives a very indoor Wenatchee version of Pike Market in Seattle. It's definitely not worth an entire trip to Wenatchee for by any means but again, if you happen to be here in this town, it's a cool spot to visit, walk around and get a good cup of coffee or a yummy bite to eat. This was a nice find while we were visiting Wenatchee area. Lots of vendors in here and a few different places to eat. Parking outside was a little difficult during lunch hours but the walk is right on the river so it was nice! I passed by this public market one day and thought it looked just like Pike Place Market in Seattle. I would say it's a smaller version of Pike Place Market. It's basically a big commercial building with less overwhelming contents with lots of eateries. At least when I was in there, I saw mostly restaurants opened and less gift or souvenir shops. Of course, Wenatchee is a town versus Seattle is a city. May be on the weekends, this public market actually has more vendors available. The cool thing is you can walk straight to the Apple Trail right outside the market and work your way to downtown Wenatchee. There's a bridge that you can cross to walk to the Wenatchee Convention Center before making your way to Wenatchee Way, where all the local boutique shops are located. read more

Coming from the Seattle area, I was surprised to see a public market with the same sign as Pike Place Market and went to check it out. It's in a large warehouse style building and inside were a handful of shops and a few restaurants. They also have a spot for live music. It was very nice inside and the selection of food and services was good. If you're in the area, I highly recommend you check it out! read more

First visit to Wenatchee and went straight to the famous Pybus public market. Ample of parking space available. Many good eats inside majorly for my "meat eating friends". They even have a grocery store inside. Sitting space provided by each eatery and in the middle of the market. Clean restrooms as well when we visited. The ambiance is cool. We were greeted and sat by a friendly employee as soon as we walked up. Our server was Colby and very friendly and helpful. We had the chip and dip sampler and it was ok. Not a whole lot of flavor in the poblano or bean dips and while the salsa Fresca tasted super fresh there didn't seem to be any seasonings. No zing. We also ordered the taco salad (the lettuce was wilted and lacked seasoning), steak burrito and the wet mission burrito (both were ok). The service was excellent and the food was only ok. Lovely market along the water. If you head toward the back of the market there's a fantastic trail for walking, running, and many places to just sit and people watch. We showed up pretty early on a Sunday morning and many of the shops have not opened yet but there were a few restaurants and cafes that were open (long lines which typically mean good food). read more

Pybus Public Market - Saturday in February 2023 - Public Markets Near Me - Wenatchee, Washington

Whenever I'm in Wenatchee (which isn't often, but still) I have to make a stop at this gorgeous indoor farmer's market that reminds me of the Ferry Building in San Francisco. It's cavernous, brightly lit interior boasts all sorts of restaurants, shops and stores carrying everything from thrifted goods to high end wines and merchandise. It's a great place to grab Eastern Washington souvenirs for the fam back home, and of course a bottle - or case - of locally-made wine for the ol' cellar. The best day to go is on a Saturday, when local farmers and makers are selling their fruit, veggies and other goods. During my most recent visit I was there on a Sunday, so I didn't get to enjoy the outdoor market, but I did wander around inside for awhile. The market is located along the river, so if you go be sure to allow extra time for a walk along its meandering paths. A friend mentioned you could rent bikes at Pybus as well, to ride along the river, but they weren't around on the day I was there. The only thing missing from Pybus is a brewery. It would be the perfect place for one! read more

My uncle and my aunt brought me to Pybus Public Market on Wednesday 11 November (Veterans Day) 2020. We strolled up and down the main corridor. They told me the market was comparatively quiet and in non-COIVD-19 times there would be vendors set up in the middle of the market. I enjoyed the tall ceilings with glass up high near the roof that allows natural light to shine in. We stopped and looked at a few of the vendors including D'Olivo Wenatchee (both spaces/stalls) and a produce vendor. At the produce vendor my uncle got a free bag of Gala Apples for being a Veteran (it was a Veterans Day special). We explored both of the D'Olivo spaces and I bought four pieces of chocolate priced by weight. The market wasn't very busy when we visited and parking near a side entrance was easy to find. There are a number of restaurants that had seating available if one wants to sit and eat inside alone or in a small group. Even though there were people sitting and dining at a number of the restaurants the noise did not amplify and formed a quiet hum of activity as background noise while we shopped. read more

What a treasure! We were originally planning to get fast food to save time as we rolled through town on a toad trip but after discovering the Pybus Public Market on Yelp, we quickly reworked our plans. This beauty was created in 2013 and really well thought out- from the lighting overhead for events to the floating free library to the outdoor patio overlooking the river and ample free parking. We visited during COVID so the vendor spots were not all activated during this time but for those who were open, they were handling the pandemic and safety precautions very seriously (which is greatly appreciated). A few examples of vendors found inside include a book shop, artisan olive oils, cheesemonger, wood fired pizzas, produce stand, bakery and Latin fusion. I had a delicious and healthy grain bowl from Cafe Columbia. Highly recommend making a pit stop here if you find yourself weaving through Wenatchee. read more

If you've been to the one in Seattle, you would probably be disappointed in this one. However, if you had nothing to compare it too, you would think it was pretty cool considering it is located in the city of Wenatchee and not another larger city. Located in a cool building, you have probably a dozen or so shops and restaurants. Looks classy and clean. Just outside, you have the Columbia River with a walking trail. We had no problem finding parking. We had dinner one night and sat in the back outdoor patio. Afterwards we went to a different shop and enjoyed some gelatto. Before we left on the 3rd day we headed back to see if they had places opened for breakfast... they had 2. We decided to shop a little, purchasing some flavored vinegar at the oil and vinegar where you can sample dozens of flavors. We saw shops selling cheese, wine and homemade jewelry. I requested that Pybus be one of the destinations my friend show me on my recent visit from Spokane. This is a little taste of Seattle's public market. I had a great pizza from fire. I want to try other places on my next visit as everything looked good. It was a sunny day in March so the ample windows made the interior so feel warm and Inviting that I forgot outside was cold weather when I went out to enjoy the river trail. Don't eat at huck at Pybus. I'm visiting from California. The Food isn't good, my burger bun was hard and had too much grease. I couldn't even taste the flavor from the huckleberry burger. I had a waiter named Jess, she was 6" tall, blonde, blue eyes. I should've asked for a different waitress, she shortened my alcohol when she brought both of our drinks, I took a sip from mine and my husbands she clearly gave favortism, and on top of that she couldn't stop eye f**king my husband. I just wanted to enjoy my lunch with my family. I'm a girls girl normally but this was super annoying. I'd ask for a waiter change if you can lmao. Total meal was over $65 minus tip for two burgers and two drinks, I'd think twice if you want to spend that kind of money here. read more

I do love a Public Market, not just because of all the great eats, libations, and crafts that are available, but for the networking and new friendships that can be developed. The market offers a melee of specialized food vendors and artisans, but most importantly, they offer a lot of friendliness. I was very pleased with my visit, not just because I ate well, but because I had a lot of good laughs. The market offers a good amount of parking in front and in the back. Access is easy and it situated along the River Front Park, so walking or running off those eats is quite manageable. read more

What a great find. We were looking for a breakfast shop and found Cafe Columbia on Yelp which is located inside the Public Market. After a delicious breakfast we wandered through all the shops. At Balsamroot I purchased a pair of beautiful Chalcedony heart earrings, then cheese down the way and even a dress! Oh and Fireweed honey (the best honey). Town center like. Huge conference room. Right along the river. Decent parking. Walkable area. What a super cool spot to hangout in Wenatchee. This indoor public market has food, drink and gifts. It is BIG and clean. I spent the day here for a conference. I had a wonderful green smoothie (excellent service), bought some cheese for my family (cheesemonger try the "vampire slayer") and ate dinner at Fire (beet salad was amazing as was their wood fired pizza special). It's such a vibrant and cool little market with multiple stores selling locals items, food specialties, meats, cheeses. wines, honey, olive oil, etc. Multiple food options too! We tried the cafe which was fantastic. Had some coffee and pastries - all were great. We also went to "Fire" for some Pizza followed by some gelato which did not disappoint! We will definitely come here again when we're in the area. They're right by the Hilton Garden Inn on the river and open until 9 pm! read more

What a perfect place that we stumbled upon after just 30 min in Wenatchee. We had some drinks and delicious pizza at the brewery and shopped for snacks for later at the cheese monger, ALL located inside this market. If we had bigger stomachs we would try the other restaurants located inside here. It's walking distance from the Columbia River Bridge (which is where we walked to first) and took amazing pictures of the foliage along the walk. Hopefully I'll be able to visit again next year. We arrived at the Pybus Public Market the day of the farmer's market. It makes sense that Pybus would host the Wenatchee farmer's market, because Pybus is essentially an upscale farmer's market. Why not host the local farmers on the outside of your building? Once the public has seen the few vendors selling produce at the beginning of the season, they will check out the inside of the building for food and maybe a bike rental. The bike/sporting goods store in Pybus seemed like an odd addition but maybe there are good margins on farmer's market bike rentals that I'm not aware of. Similar to every other farmer's market we've tried in the area, the Wenatchee farmer's market had a musical component, in this case, a large group of school kids playing steelpans. If you are not familiar with steelpans, they look like metal barrels with a severely dented lid, which produces a different sound depending on where the lid is hit. I had certainly never seen something like this before and thought that was the last time, except that they showed up again at the Leavenworth farmer's market a couple of weeks later. They were the same band, unless there are multiple steelpan band troupes banging away at farmer's markets all across Washington. If so, keep it up. They certainly make the vegetable selection process a little more interesting. read more

Similar to the famous Pike Public Market in Seattle, this smaller version called Pybus Public Market is quaint and cozy. Various vendors inside offer artisan goods and eats such as cured meats, gourmet chocolates and delectable bistro style eats. We went on Wed evening at 5pm and many stores were already closed even though hours state it was open til 9pm. I'm guessing it has something related to night before Thanksgiving? My favorite shops are D'Olivo (olive oils, vinegars, and other specialty ingredients) and The Cheesemonger Shop (cheese, of course)! A teeny, tiny version of the Public Market in Seattle. There are a few differences though. This public market seems a lot cleaner and the building where the vendors are is quite a bit newer. It was actually a surprise for Steve and me coming across this place. We came here to go to the craft brewery inside, Wenatchee Valley Brewing Company. We didn't know of the market's existence prior. Most of the vendors here are restaurants and food oriented markets but there are a few stores that sell merchandise as well. What is sold here appears that a great deal of it comes locally which is really cool to see! Walking from one side of the place to the other takes very little time if you are just interested in going down the main corridor to look. Really a nice place to hang out for a bit for a beer or a meal! read more

This riverfront public market is like a miniature version of Pike Place Market in Seattle. The market is housed in one massive warehouse-like building with open shops inside. The selection is not huge, but has everything one expects: food, crafts, bakeries, and gift shops. Parking is free around the market and there is plenty of it. Wenatchee is really stepping it up since our last visit several years ago. I like to think of this place as a mini Pike's Market, just more country. All are local vendors and restaurants which really carves out the character of this place. There's everything from wood fired pizza, a cheese shop, to southern BBQ. You can even pick up some fruits, pickled veggies, and a meat shop. We had breakfast there as most places aren't even open till 9am and it was very enjoyable. Even if seating inside the restaurant is full, you can easily find a table outside to sit and enjoy. I can't wait to see what they plan for next and in the summertime! read more
