This place is awesome! The pizza is unexpectedly delicious and well made with lots of topping options. I had just plain cheese(delish) but our friends had the taco pizza and a white pizza and both looked amazing! Prices are reasonable and the whole theme of PYG (the local airport) is well executed. It's a 20 minute drive from Monroe NC and it's well worth it. The downtown area is cute with some unique shops, so take a walk and then enjoy some authentic, delicious pizza at PYG Pizza!

If you know anything about New York pizza, you will love this pizza. We particularly like the deep pan pepperoni and chewy cheese.

11/10 I will come back to this restaurant again! Absolutely outstanding service! And the food was…read moredelicious! That's probably the best pizza I've had in a good while! It was super simple, nothing fancy, but the perfect blend of flavors. The dough was good, sauce was terrific, and the toppings taste fresh. And their ranch sauce was tasty. The place is very family friendly, almost every table had a family at it, with plenty of seating.

First time for us at this new, within a year, business for Lancaster. Good to see growth like…read morethis. The present owner is the founder of Heath Springs Pizza in Heath Springs, SC. He did very well so he expanded into the main street of Lancaster to repeat his pizza operation. It was crowded when we went in at around 7pm. Interesting menu with usual appetizers and salads but with a few new items. The Wedge is basically half of a 9" pizza folded over all sorts of fillings and then cut into three slices or "wedges". Cute idea...different. Wife and I split a small chef salad ($7.99) which was more than enough for two of us. Had Italian dressing and it was a packet of creamy Italian, which was OK. Ordering pizza is either pick from their suggestions, of which there are plenty, or create your own, or...any combination that works for you. They have Chicago pizza, and for those of you that are not familiar, this is a deep dish pie, thick with crust and cheese. It is almost 2 inches high. Crust Types: Hand-tossed, Thin' N Crispy, The Edge, Gluten Free Cauliflower, crustless (!), or create your own. This includes a base pizza, pizza sauce, cheese and your first topping. Each additional topping is charged based on pizza size. Sizes are: 9" Personal $8.99, 12" Medium $10.99, 14" Large $12.99. 16" X-Large $14.99. We ordered a thin crust, crispy crust, medium size Little Italian pie ($14.99). It did not jibe with their pricing, but we were not to quibble about it. It took almost 30 minutes to arrive, but then again, it was crowded. It was OK...not like you would expect. Our specifications with thin and crispy came out appearing like a frozen pizza from the grocery store. But it was flavorful and had a nice mix of the various ingredients. Next time we will go with a hand-tossed. Not fancy, with wood bench booths on both sides and small or large table combos in the center. And you are there with what appear to be very nice Americans, working class, with their children. Every one was having a good time and it was comforting be with a regular folks kinda place. On the south end of main street. You can even park in front on the street.

My wife is amazing at planning things for us. We decided to celebrate her birthday which landed…read moreduring the work week on the following weekend. She chose to explore the Monroe area of North Carolina. It was my treat to her and she researched, chose the location and booked the hotel. She also researched places to go and great food to eat. She really is amazing. One of the places she picked for us to grab some food was The Exchange Pizza Depot. She knows I love pizza and she loves to treat me as well. She read great reviews and based on the pictures posted on Yelp, she knew the dough, which is her favorite part looked incredibly tasty. The goal was to arrive when they opened on Saturday morning at 11:30am. We got up and ready, grabbed a coffee and did a few things before arriving a bit after they opened. We were able to find street parking easily and headed in. A young man came up from what appears to be the kitchen and/or prep area. We had already looked over the menu and knew what we wanted. All pizzas are 12 inches and priced at $14.99, which we thought was very reasonable. She chose the Roasted Chicken pizza with chunks of chicken, roasted bell pepper, garlic, sliced red onion, and premium shredded mozzarella with a delicious nut free pesto. She also ordered a side salad with balsamic vinaigrette. I decided to stay very traditional with Jordan's Jamboree featuring classic pepperoni and sausage with red sauce and premium shredded mozzarella, I ordered mine with extra sauce. The young man was friendly and efficient and told us our order would be ready in about 20 to 25 minutes. We knew from other reviews they do not have a dining area but customers are welcome to take their orders to the Courthouse beer bar next door. We decided to walk around the block and discovered the Courthouse was closed. We continued to the next business on the street which was the Peddlers Paradise Bartique and stepped inside. The bar area was not yet busy (they were prepping for a neighborhood pub crawl which began at 2pm). We asked the young lady working if it was possible to bring our lunch over. She was very friendly and did not hesitate to offer us one of the high top tables. We were grateful since it was already quite hot and humid. This also gave us some time to shop inside Peddlers Paradise. We ended up picking up a few items we couldn't live without. We checked on our order at the 20 minute mark and was told it needed 5 more minutes. We came back a few minutes later and everything was ready and packaged up. They have utensils and packets of both parmesan cheese and red pepper to grab on your way out. We got settled in the Peddlers Paradise and opened up both the pizza boxes and the container with the salad. Everything looked incredible!!! Needless to say we ooh'ed and awwww'ed as we each began eating our lunch. My wife does not eat pizza often and this was just what she was looking for on her special weekend. We highly recommend to others if you are near Monroe!
