I've been here several times and never had a problem. During my manicure I tried telling her the polish was to think and gummy (because the bottle was almost empty). She kept saying it'll be fine when it is done. It wasn't. Told her I wasn't happy and she said she would redo, which she did but with same bottle. I asked for a cool tone, crome yellow and instead I got cheese. they are way too long and I asked the lady to go shorter and she told me no. I found my new favorite nail salon!! I'm so happy. My best friend and I are always trying new places trying to find our favorite and it just hasn't happened yet. Until now. We walked in on a Thursday evening to a clean, welcoming salon. We were immediately greeted and they were instantly ready for us (no appointment) once we picked our pedicure polish colors. We sat side by side in nice, seemingly new chairs with massage remotes that actually worked, clean and welcoming decor (neutral colors and not overdone like many salons) and the two friendliest pedicure-givers ever. Right away they got us drinks to make us comfortable. I had a man named Tien and my friend had a lady, we didn't grab her name but she was delightful too. We talked to Tien the whole time, about everything - his background, our lives, etc. He was so welcoming. They didn't rush our pedicures like some places, and took time on the massaging while we relaxed. After the pedicure, we went to the nail dryers and Tien brought us a stack of magazines in case we were bored. When we were done, we were genuinely thanked by the other woman. Wow! I was hesitant to go in because of the reviews I had seen. But I am blown away! Sunday's are quite Busy, (understandable) but although I had a small wait, 15 or so minutes, I did not at all feel rushed! Eyen was my technician and she was fabulous! And to be honest, the most conversation I have ever really had with a nail tech, so that was actually surprisingly welcomed! I enjoyed a glass of wine while she did her thing! And she was good at it! Normally I have to continue to tell the tech that I like them short, like super super short, and have to keep redirecting them to continue to cut them but when I told her I liked them super short because I have to small children at home she took it and ran! She knew exactly what I needed/wanted! The length and shape are fabulous! so natural looking, which I personally enjoyed! overall this experience was fabulous! And for this mama it was well needed and extremely enjoyed! I will absolutely be back! Thank you Eyen! Took my mother in law to get a spa manicure pedicure. After being told it would be about a 1/2 hour (we waited) then a guy asked us what we would like to have done. My mother in law is 85 years old. Because of her age and inability to answer quickly he got upset, said some things he should have kept to himself and walked away. As then I proceeded to tell him SHAME ON HIM to talk with no repeat to an elderly lady. Obviously he was not raised correctly! No one should ever be disrespectful like that to an older person or anyone for that matter. read more

I went for a dip fill. They only had about 20 colors to choose from. My nails were very thin and broke within 7-10 days. Usually my dip nails last about 2-3 weeks without breaking. Not worth the price as far as I'm concerned. read more

I was traveling for work and needed a fill, gel manicure and pedicure. After checking out reviews I decided to try Q Nails. When I arrived I was greeted and told they could get me right in which was great. The selection of polish was a little disappointing but I found a regular polish for my pedicure and gel polish for my nails. The pedicure was very rushed. She applied one coat of polish and when I asked her if she would apply a second she said she already had. I can count and wasn't in the mood to argue so I let it go. She moved me to a male technician for my fill/gel manicure and again it was incredibly rushed. I was in and out for both services in about 45 minutes. If you're looking to be pampered and relax I wouldn't recommend. If you're looking to get in an out very quickly this could work for you. read more

When it comes to who I allow to dig around under my toenails, my list remains very short. Customer service is usually the down fall for me. Not speaking to me, being rude or rough are all items that put a nail salon on my 'naughty list'. The day I found Q Nails and Spa, I had tried two other salons and was either greeted with a 2 hour long line or very rude shop owners. I couldn't be happier that happened however because it allowed me to become acquainted with Q Nails and the phenomenal staff that grace their beautiful establishment. I am a repeat customer because of the wonderful individuals that work on my nails, the care and patience they have with me, the beautiful nails that I return home with and the price point that doesn't break my bank. With all that being said, the store is also wide open, very clean, all the chairs work, and there are plenty of polish options. Q Nails and Spa will NOT disappoint you! read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT ENTER THIS AWFUL SCAM OF A NAIL SALON!!! First of all there was only one customer at 6pm on a Thursday. I wish I would've taken the hint to leave then. I was then greeted by a rude young woman that I made it very clear to that I was in need of a full set of gel nails. I explained to her that I had recently survived cancer and my nails were weak and still weren't growing properly. She sat me down and started cleaning up my cuticles and told me it would cost me 30.00 for gel and French tips. I agreed. Oh but wait after about 10 minutes I asked her why she was shaping my very short brittle nails. She then rudely told me that I was getting a manicure with gel nail polish. I said no that wasn't going to work and I had needed a full set. Her and the manager started speaking in Vietnamese and acted all upset and told me that'd I'd have to wait my turn then??? There was no one else there so this bait & switch act they were obviously acting out was definitely planned. The man then told me it would be 35.00 for a gel full set so I agreed and apologized for any misunderstanding that had occurred. He then did my nails in maybe 15 minutes time which I hadn't realized until I had left probably due to the dog & pony bullshit show that lasted a good 25 minutes prior to getting any real service. When I went to the register to pay this jerk actually tried to charge me 45.00 stating that he was giving me a discount on my manicure I didn't ask for nor did they finish. I was absolutely dumbfounded. I said no way. I cannot afford 45.00 for a full set because I had just survived cancer and hadn't returned to work yet. He just stared at me and said "Only once I do this for you and give you a free manicure." So I was forced to pay 38.52. And to add insult to injury he refused to honor the 20% off offer for new clients in this this Yelp app. Wow how low can these awful people get? read more

Came in on a Sunday afternoon and zero wait to be seen. I got a pedicure and gel manicure. Large selection of colors. They have the room to accommodate a lot of customers but weren't busy. This might just become my go to Cedar Rapids place. Plus next door to Chipotle, score. Very clean. They even have the most adorable child's pedicure chair. Very happy with the service. read more

Iowa Law reads as follows...Iowa passed into law HF 2296, clarifying Iowa law on gift cards and gift certificates. Under the revised law, gift cards cannot expire for at least five years. ... Gift cards are subject to complex set of federal and state laws and regulations. If you are wanting a good manicure, this isn't the place to go! My daughter and I went in to have our nails done on Friday 6/1/17. I had a manicure with shellac. My daughter had a manicure with artificial nails and shellac. After 2 days one of my thumb nails chipped. The next day my other thumb nail chipped. 4 days after having them done, my daughter had 3 nails fall off. I went in there telling him that the nails chipped and that  hers had fallen off. He, being the manager, tried blaming our nails! I have been having my nails done for years!! I have never had this happen before, neither has my daughter.  We decided to try Q Nails because we wanted to try a different place in town. NEVER AGAN! He offered to redo them, which I did not want due to the first crappy job they did.  All I wanted was a refund, which he refused due to a sign he pointed to, which I obviously never paid attention to, fine, my lesson learned. I just hope no one else has to lose $100 to this sad place they call a "nail salon". read more

They did a really good job!!! I got acrylic nails with polish & I got matte top coat on top which didn't even cost extra like some other nail salons charge. I am so happy with the results. The service was great, they were all very friendly. I definitely recommend this nail salon and I will for sure be coming back!! read more
