So I said I just want an oil change and nothing more. Fine. I go and pick up my car and I notice that:  A) They placed the next oil change sticker with 2K miles more than it should have on it  B) 30 minutes later I get another call from the guy saying my oil pan is leaking and I have some other issues...and as I inform him my car isn't there anymore and picked up, he hangs up on me. I have an old 2002 Civic and these things need their timing belts replaced every 100,000 miles (or so I'm told), and that's about where she was when I bought it. Shouldn't cost much more than 500$ (again, so I'm told). So I checked this place out. The guy who runs the place, Danny, told me he'd have it done by the next day and he certainly did. Turns out my engine had all sorts of other problems that he fixed while he was under the hood. My gut reaction was "Here we go." but things were not what they seemed. The overall price after labor and all of the other fixes he provided was, as I was told, not much higher than 500$. I've since heard even more good things about this place and I can say I'm a believer. This will be my go-to place from now on.
