Q's Culinary Cart has been on my bucket list since it was first brought to my attention back in 2021. And I finally was able to cross it off my bucket list at 16-bit. I got three of the well known hot dogs for $12. First the man in the cart is a machine, he was able to churn out hot and fresh food while getting orders from the next customer. I got the Southern Boy, the BBQ Beanie, and the classic chili cheese dog. I love hot dogs, so I was excited on how these hot dogs would impress me. The hot dogs themselves were standard skinless hot dogs. The flavor came from the toppings and the soft hot dog bun. The Southern Boy lives up to the classic southern hot dog. The slaw was fresh and brought it's A game. The BBQ Beanie made me question why are BBQ beans not a standard topping for hot dogs. They were filling and brought a great sweet BBQ flavor. These are two I would go back for again and again. The chili cheese dog... it was not as impressive as the other two but it held it's own as a good chili cheese dog.. Overall, I would definitely go back and try the other hot dogs and next time I will go for their fries as I saw a lot of people order it. read more

These guys came by our neighborhood 4th of July party so I obviously had to try. This was one of the better smash burgers I've had lately! The cheese was so melty and gooey and delicious. I was disappointed that the fries weren't seasoned at all. Not even a little salt. We also ordered some onion rings and those were actually really good and crunchy. The hot dog looked tasty but the slaw was really watery and made the bun soggy pretty fast. I would definitely order the burger again. I hope to see them around again! read more

This is some of the best casual food in the city. I had him first in his food truck and food and service was AMAZING. Now that he has switched to a brick and mortar I had to try it there and it's still 10/10. Great prices, great flavor, and great options. This is a hidden gem on the north side of Charlotte. This is a small but mighty restaurant with flavorful hotdogs, sandwiches, burgers, desserts, and special menu items. I ordered a Cajun chicken club and BLT hotdog with onion rings. The chicken was seasoned extremely well and the sandwich was so juicy!! The hotdog was grilled well - I loved the refreshing balance of the BLT ingredients with the grilled taste of the hotdog. And the onion rings?! Crisped to perfection! Entire plate was phenomenal. Can't believe I don't have a review on here yet. I fell in love with Q's like 2 years ago when he did a pop up at my apartment complex. I don't eat beef so I love the veggie dog option. I order a BBQ Beanie veggie dog sub ketchup add pickle and it's **chefs kiss! Love the option to also have vegetarian beans. Q is also very communicative on social media. Was at Pour 64 the other day when everyone was talking about how good this hot dog guy was; I'm not a big hot dog person, so I originally did not take immediate interest until I started seeing people's dogs...and that everyone was getting two... So I went out to investigate...firstly, let me say this cart of tubular-meat wonders and artistry has some things going for it aside from the artisanal dogs: I LOVE good music and when a place's playlist is fire R&B, it just sets the vibe; when you are as nice, cordial, engaging as Q was, it's easy to see why the food is so good! Now as for the dogs...they do NOT disappoint! I got the The BBQ Beanie sub bacon for the beans and was in heaven! I scarfed it down so fast I forgot to take a pic! I thought I would only be able to do one, but went back for the Buff Glizzy. Y'all already know! I have to wait until I have tried a place more than once before they get 5 stars. Well this one was easy!!! The hot dog was still amazing! The chili has a little spice to it and the hot dog is hot throughout! I can't stand a hot dog that when you bite into it-the center isn't hot! Yuck! Well you will not have that problem here!! I wanted to try the patty melt but decided to go with the home base burger with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles with mustard. It was delicious. The cheese runs over the burger giving you that crispy cheese almost like a grilled cheese but you got a burger! Well two patties actually! I have been eyeing this food truck for awhile. Finally it was in my area on a day I did not feel like cooking. When I tell you my burger was one of the best I ever had. It was cooked perfectly. My fiance and I were walking through the park talking about dinner plans, when we saw Q's Culinary Cart and had to stop. And what a fantastic decision that was! Q's hot dogs were absolutely fantastic, with some unique toppings on some of the specialty dogs. We both got just 1 each to start - she got the southern boy, I got the BLT. After those, we just HAD to go and get 2 more! We both went with the BBQ Beanie that time, which was probably my favorite. The chili and slaw on the Southern Boy were both delicious in their own right, and the BLT was a great combo on a hot dog. On top of that, Q was a total joy to talk to, and I loved getting to hear how he got started.
