Speaking of, they will have new looks coming out in a couple weeks from 1/6/2023. Today they had 50% off on Christmas apparel & December selections. There is a section for newborns & infants to the far back left. For dance moms & dads, they have a considerably large selection of dance shoes & leotards available. I'm a fan!

Because she's part of her school's band, they had a special. The discount took off $15.95. The cleaning kit (and a folding music stand included free) came out to $31.99. My other daughter has been taking private guitar lessons in their small practice room since May 2025. We are gracious for their support and so glad they don't get made when her lesson goes a minute or two over time (which is closing time). Huge fan.

Lulu & Co is the newest boutique to open up on the north side of Hobbs, NM…read more It's located at the Navajo East Plaza on Bender Blvd across from Tractor Supply. I popped in today (2/14/2024) to honestly just look around. There was ample free parking. At the register I saw some Gold Canyon candles and picked one ($29 for a 14-ouncer) up for an upcoming birthday girl. These are some of the best candles I have ever tried. Lulu is the only retailer in town that sells them & they gift-wrapped it for me! I was done Valentine's shopping long ago, but I couldn't resist a pair of heart-shaped earrings ($12). The ladies working there are extraordinarily kind and welcoming. I didn't see many bodysuits which was what I was looking for, but I'll be back. They have super cute clothes for women for all occasions. Please support this local business!

The Lea County Event Center is often referred to the locals as "the coliseum."…read more While it is the largest indoor stadium of sorts in the entire county, its size pales in comparison to big city venues. My first recollection of this facility was when I was still in grade school. My mom took me and my best friend at the time to a country concert starring Tracy Lawrence with then up-and-comer Toby Keith. Because this is not an extravagantly huge venue, there really isn't a bad seat in the house. We didn't sit particularly close to the "Time Marches On" crooner, but could see his facial expressions just fine. I've been here for many more events since: professional bullriding, motocross, monster trucks, arts & crafts fairs, the local community college and area high school graduations, etc. Working with the county on many projects in this building for several years was also a good experience. The County has decided to seek ideas for upgrades with the LCEC. I hope that the parking doesn't get chaotic. Please ensure there is ample parking... even maybe a parking garage in the future? Can't wait to see the changes!

I never went to their old place, but when I went in today (December 5, 2024) I was impressed. Bought my first pair of Judy Blue jeans ($69) in black with a high waist. These will be perfect for winter - and so comfortable. I really wanted a green corduroy pair, but they already sold out of my size. I also purchased a gold pair of dangling earrings for New Year's Eve ($8.50). Even if I stay home with the kids, I enjoy glamming up a bit - and they love it when I do too. The employees were friendly & welcoming. They have a waxing station (see photo). Walk-ins are welcome, but sometimes not offered on some Saturdays. Prices were as follows: Brows $12 Chin $12 Lips $12 Full face $35 On Saturday, December 7, 2024, they will be having their Grand Re-Opening (photo also posted). Cute, clean store. Dressing rooms available. They are the only boutique in town that I know of that sells Bare Minerals products. Great new addition for women of all ages.

This thrift store is on the smaller side, but it definitely has "a little bit of everything." And their prices are great! I will be donating all of my unwanted or outgrown children's clothes and other items from now on to this small business. Check them out near downtown Hobbs on Linam St. free street parking out front!
