The case of pastries is fun to look at! We ordered and sat down to wait. Our coffee and food were good, but having been there before, we knew they would be. What I enjoy just as much as the menu items, is looking at the beautiful clothing that some of the women wear. I don't know all the correct words for the traditional clothing they wear and don't want to be disrespectful and use the wrong words! But some of them are absolutely gorgeous! A nice, different spot to try! They have quite the niche for pastries and specialty mousses (covered in chocolate, quite vital on social media). Counter service was friendly and quick. Lots of seating. The parking lot directly in front was significantly smaller than the one it was attached to, and completely full. There was a food truck and a shaved ice place, so we had to park further away by the Chuck E. Cheese. Not too bad of a walk, though, just something to note for folks who can't go long distances. I also didn't expect to spend $10 on the croissant and personally wouldn't spend that again. Coffee syrups were 1883 brand, and my preferred is house made syrup (especially for a $7 latte). Qahwatea might just be my new favorite coffee shop. Me and my sons stopped by before some appointments nearby and I instantly fell in love with the place. The first thing I noticed was how much seating they had, perfect if I wanted to bring my other kids along . The smell of fresh coffee when you walk in is amazing and made the whole place feel so cozy/relaxing. One of my favorite parts was the real flowers throughout the shop, because it made everything feel warm and inviting. Al was so nice he is who also helped us & was also super nice and welcoming. I was happy to see they even had sugar-free flavor options, which is something I need sometimes and don't always find. Absolutely amazing matcha! I ordered the Dot Cake Matcha and it tasted just like cereal milk, so unique and delicious. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try any of the desserts because I had other places to go and didn't want them melting in the summer heat. My twin son's and I decided to try this establishment that sits in an old blockbuster video site in Ellisville just west of the Manchester and Clarkson rd. The inside decor is nice but casual. Hot matcha and a tiramisu cup. Together it was $18 without tip. It was pricey but wanted to try it. The Tiramisu cup was ok. There was more bland cream in it than espresso or lady fingers. The chocolate cup was rich but I am not sure I'd get it again. I love tiramisu but don't get the flavors I was looking for. The drink was nice and hot. It was a good tasting matcha. After going viral, I had to check out this shop. It is massive and very easy on the eyes as it very bright and clean. One of the owners took our order and was still delightful after we came in after the Sunday church rush. Although the prices are higher, they are using quality ingredients and I will gladly pay the price for it. As a pistachio lover, I had to get a lot of pistachio items like the pistachio latte and pistachio cheesecake. My companion got a macchiato and Biscoff a.k.a. lotus cup chocolate cup. The pistachio latte was okay and I wanted more of that creamy nutty taste so I may ask for less coffee or more pistachio in the future. As for the desserts, I love them because they were creamy and not overly sweet. I hope they continue their great offerings. The space is very large and great for virtual working or study. This place is also great for large groups if you want to host a work coffee meeting or worship group meeting. For accessibly the entrance is wide, and the front door is light enough to open. The bathroom is also quite large, which is great, but that door is a little heavier so you may need assistance. The space is also not too loud so if you have a service dog they wont be too concerned with the coffee bean grinder or other patrons being a little louder. I hope the price point does not keep people away. You are paying for quality. I would offer advice to them to expand the menu to be more kid friendly and I bet their audience grows. read more

I've visited Qawatea a couple of times now, and it's a really nice addition to the area. The space is clean, bright, and modern, and the pastry case is beautiful -- colorful mousse desserts, croissants, and unique pastries you don't normally find around Wildwood. On my first visit, I tried the Sans'ani traditional coffee, the Qawatea Latte, and the Cherry Fruit Mousse. The Sans'ani was extremely bold -- authentic, but a little too intense for my taste -- and the wait was close to 30 minutes, which made that first trip feel a bit long. My second visit was much smoother. I ordered the Pistachio Latte, Qawatea Latte, and a Za'atar Croissant. Service was faster, the drinks were well-balanced, and the croissant was flaky with a nice savory flavor. The only small hesitation I have is that the drinks do feel a bit on the pricey side for the area, though the quality is good. Overall, I'm happy to have something new and different in Wildwood, and I'm excited to come back and try more of their pastries. First time here and it won't be the last! I drove 50 minutes to try Qahwatea. My first initial want was to try the fruit mousse cakes. Literally they're in the shape of the fruit that the dessert contains in the middle. I brought some home and tried the cherry, lemon, and mango. All were absolutely delicious! I can't choose a favorite. I also can't stop thinking about them all week. I tried their pistachio latte and really enjoyed that as well, but I love anything pistachio. The bakery case is incredibly tempting on how to narrow choices but you cannot go wrong. I also grabbed their Dubai chocolate milk cake. Sadly, it fell flat for me. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the texture was complete mush, and it didn't even taste chocolately. The bottom chocolate cake level was sopping wet and because of that, the kataifi did not retain its signature crunch. It was just a soggy mess.
