    Chicken quesadilla
    Julie N.

Recommended by locals! We stopped by here because it was only a 5ish min walk from the ferry station, and it was known to be affordable and delicious by a local! We took my family here and we were very much satisfied with all the food. It's a small restaurant so be mindful the seating can only really accommodate parties of 4 or less! We had: chicken quesadilla, mushroom quesadilla, French toast, hot cakes, mango smoothie, horchata, Jamaica juice. All was on point! Staff: super friendly! Service: fast Food: delicious and fresh fruits & veg Seating: a handful of tables only Ambiance: casual NOTE: CASH ONLY! They do not accept card here.

Eggs and bacon plate. Comes with fried sweet plantains, beans and avocado and tomato.

Good food! Nice little place 2 blocks up from the ferry terminal. A little busy, means the food is good. And it was excellent . I had the burrito and my wife had the chiaqullas .

Located about a block away from all the touristy spots, it's across from the center square. This place is a gem, this is actually my second time here. The food is delightful, the service is great! I spoke to the owner and he's such an amazing soul. Come treat yourself to some delicious local food, the prices are affordable and the food is the closest I've gotten to my mothers homemade meals

The torta cubana was amazing !! It's a nice little hole in the way just up the way from the terminal

Recommended by the snorkle tour people. The breezy dining area was pleasantly small. Smiling faces delivered delicious plates quick and in a hurry. Cheap prices, large quantities, fresh and made to your satisfaction.

Fabulous breakfast at most reasonable prices. The chilliquales were best and delicious omelets your choice of ingredients. The chef from Italy was so pleasant to speak with. Will definitely be back. Open 8-3. Cash only, serves breakfast and lunch only.

My other breakfast at the same time LOL

Great mid priced place in the island. If you are craving an American breakfast then get the French toast with bacon. I ordered two breakfasts because I have been surviving on street tacos for days. The omelets are good and sausage is very Mexican style. Great staff - owner. Big menu

This is a little place with a big punch the service was top notch and the food was even better. The food was so good we ate it before we could get a picture

She was walking us a little towards the back, but since it was my first time to Isla, I wanted to people-watch, so I asked about a table up front. As soon as we headed over, I saw why she passed it - it was right next to the saxophone player! Thank goodness his volume level was perfect! Just loud enough to be heard over the crowds walking down the 'lane' out front and the restaurant diners' chatting. But not so loud that we 3 couldn't chat. We loved it! Now these two can EAT - and love to try everything on the menu, whereas I tend to eat smaller portions. I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were fantastic - huge pieces of shrimp, so good! The lobster mac n cheese is so good, I would have loved to bring a big container of it home with me! The restaurant is very busy but very clean and tables are well organized for maneuvering a quick trip to the restroom before leaving. Our server, Maylen was attentive and pleasant. The bar area, facing the street, looked like a lot of fun, I'll have to try it next time!

And the saxophone player walked up to them played for them. That looked pretty nice. We sat next to the bar and there were some obnoxious gringos at the bar while we were there... which is common on the north side of the island.

A reservation was easy to obtain via email and we were all set for a sunset, evening meal. We were warmly welcomed and promptly seated. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere pleasant with an acoustic duo playing mellow tunes in the background. Honestly, we were a little disappointed with the view that most reviews rave about. Our sever was knowledgeable and made several suggestions. We selected the Pepita Crusted Tuna for a starter, my companion had the fresh catch which was grouper, blackened with a side of the peanut sauce. I chose the Surf and Turf. For dessert, we shared the Key Lime Pie. Everything was beautifully presented, and quite artistic. The tuna appetizer was very good, but the main courses were frankly a disappointment. The creativity of the plate did not make up for the lackluster food. The steak was tough and poorly seasoned, the lobster was just passable but also chewy and not tender. The fish was not as well cooked as other restaurants downtown and again the seasoning was lackluster. The sides, lentils and mashed potatoes were just ok. The homemade Key Lime Pie was enjoyable but again seemed to lack a depth of flavor. If the food could match the service, presentation, and atmosphere then perhaps this could be one of Isla's better dining establishments, until then "the juice was not worth the squeeze."

There was live music which was very nice for the ambiance and the sunset. The bartender was really friendly and knowledgeable. Complimentary jalapeño bread ball was a nice touch. The pozole presentation was really nice and tasted good. The drunken shrimp presentation had a nice touch with the rosemary lit on fire, but felt it was a little lacking in flavor. The steak arrachera was really good with great smoked flavor. I would recommend checking out this little hidden gem when in the area.
