The receptionist was very sweet, and Dr Tom gave a great adjustment. You can tell he's been practicing for a long time, but what really stood out was how much he enjoys helping people! Some docs can't seem to adjust my neck very well, but he got it on the first try with a gentle but effective technique. When I'm in the Hamilton area, I'll definitely come back in the see Dr Tom.

After waiting a few minutes the operator and another employee came in saying that BCBS Medicare insurance wasn't going to approve the scan for today. I would have to reschedule. What about my copay? The woman said they could hold it until the rescheduled date or they would refund it. I got angry and frustrated with this situation and blew up at the young woman. I am very sorry that I did that to her and I'm not happy with my conduct toward her. I simply didn't tell her this is the 3rd time in the last month I've been rescheduled. I want the scan done in a timely way. The last scan 7 months ago revealed a mass and my doctor ordered the scans to be done every 6 months. We're behind. I took the young lady's advice and rescheduled for November 5. I didn't ask for the copay refund. The young lady offered to handle the reschedule but in my anger I wouldn't let her. I called Chattanooga imaging after I cooled down. Patient's need to have patience.

TL:DR     Ed Fox gave _very_ incorrect information and did…read morenot follow up as promised. My mom is 64. She and I have a chronic genetic issue. She swore off doctors years ago. So when I finally found something that was helping, it took a lot of convincing to get her to go. She did some research and decided to see Ed Fox. He wasn't familiar with her condition. That's fine. We're used to that. What she was asking for is Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) to help treat the chronic pain, among other things. He told her it's a controlled substance and that he'd need authorization, so he'd get back to her. It's not a controlled substance. In fact, had he done a five second google search, he'd have seen it's kind of the opposite. It's an opioid antagonist and is used in its normal dose to treat opioid and alcohol addiction. But he didn't do that. He also didn't check with others in his practice and get back to her like he said he would. If you have a cold, you're probably fine going here. If you're looking for a doctor that will actually do what he says, cares about your issues, and will look into things you bring up--this is not your guy. Now I have to try and convince my mom to try again. And it's going to be harder than it was this last time.

LOL…read more The truth is the angry screaming woman refused service because she didn't like the fact I wouldn't get on the table; I needed to sit in the chair as I was not feeling well due to a suspected ear infection. These people are angry that you're even there, and it's evident as soon as you walk in the front door. They provide masks and insist you wear them the entire time there.
