I said they are together and he got mad and was like is it a bowl or nachos in a snarky way. then i said it's birria and steak. scanned my coupon and handed and 20 which he snatched and then proceeded to not even hand me my change back. he laid it on the counter. rude customer service. Stopped over for lunch. The food is great. Prepared in front of you, Subway style. We had Quesadilla with chicken, burrito with pulled pork and nachos. All tasted perfect. The guacamole is very nice, fresh. The room is a bit noisy tho during lunch hours. read more

I have never eaten at Qdoba before considering I am a die-hard Chipotle fan. However being in Brookings, that wasn't an option. Food was surprisingly very good. I think I will return here instead of Chipotle next time I am craving fast Mexican food. I love that eating a vegetarian dish actually fills me up and tastes great. Unfortunately, I feel like the line is way too rushed and the food is just slapped on in front of you with little care. I don't expect an extravagant experience though considering it IS Qdoba. The girl behind the counter did a good job of explaining the sauces and the whole staff seems to be in a cheery mood. Speaking of sauces..All the various sauces are so tasty! The food was good. That's it. I will not be back. Filthy bathroom, booths were filthy, floors. Garbage over running outside. Soap and water does wonders. Employees need to be trained on food safety. Great food, almost as good as Chipolte! The tacos were just ok, if they took a little better care not to make them soggy they would have tasted better. The taco salads are just right, not too big but just enough for a filling lunch. Let me start off by saying that Qdoba is one of my very favorite restaurants EVER. I never turn it down. I walked in and noticed there was food garbage on top of the trash receptacle. The kid working was just returning with an empty trash can - hello, was it too difficult to clean off the top of the trash receptacle before you took out the trash?! I was standing there waiting for my husband to come in so I hadn't gotten in line yet. There was a guy who was getting his burrito made. The kid making his burrito got to one of the toppings he had requested, scooped it out, and then tossed it over his shoulder. Ummmm I'm sorry, as a customer, that's saying to me whatever was in that bowl was only suitable to be on the floor?!?! After seeing that, I turned around and walked out. We drove over an hour to eat in Brookings, and are now driving to Sioux Falls (2 hours away from where we live). Big thumbs down to you, Brookings Qdoba. read more

I've been a long time customer of this Qdoba primarily because of my wife's food allergy to gluten. In the beginning, Qdoba was very clean and the service was great. In the past few months though, it seems as if things are going downhill. One of the staff members seems to always try and rush through taking people's orders as fast as she can. At times, she'll take my wife and I's order and the 2 people behind us as well. This ends up creating confusion on everyone's part and creates a mess on the counter as the bean juice and rice flies everywhere. My wife also noticed several dust bunnies on top of the glass sneeze guard that we were just hoping didn't fall in the food before ours was made. I love the number of choices available and the fact that my wife can eat there without a whole lot of concern for her allergy. However, there needs to be some more effort into the keeping the place clean and not rushing people through the line. read more

What a great place to eat. My kids used to call it "Burrito Subway" as you go down the line and watch them make your food as you select ingredients. But Qdoba has so much more to offer than just burritos. I especially like the naked burrito that they put in a bowl, especially when I want the protein but don't want the carbs. We have had very few bad experiences at this Qdoba and we have had several very positive experiences. That's what brings customers back. We have also had this Qdoba cater a few different events for us without issue. The catering was always met with praise from our guests or employees. read more

I always take the veggie burrito. Good flavor and consistency. Fast and efficient service. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The only drawback I see for this joint is going in between 11.45 and 1pm on weekdays. It's a college town, so restaurants typically employ an ever-changing staff of part-time students. I drive charter bus so I make food stops with groups on the norm. Usually always call ahead to let them know we are coming, but this was a last second decision and boy did they come through. Hey, I enjoy Qdoba but a chain like this doesn't deserve 5 stars. The real mexican dining options in town (El Rancho and Guads) are actually cheaper during lunch and carry a full menu of excellent food. As far a the chain goes, I think the brookings location is the best one i've been in. She had no idea what she was doing, sloppy, incorrect just pushed the food along and didn't hardly ask if we wanted anything else on our food. She was rude and unprofessional. The staff is very polite and welcoming. Food came promptly. There were many options on affordable food choices. A good choice for college student looking for an affordable off campus meal. You can eat there or take it to go making it a good choice. If you're interested in a more affordable and fast I highly suggest Qdoba as an option. If you're looking for a nicer sit down meal it may not be a good choice. Overall I had a good experience and plan on returning. read more

The staff is always friendly and quick. I like how students get free drinks with their ID! Food is always fresh and tasty. The only thing is it is a little unkept. Trash often overflowing, many dirty tables, drink station a mess. And the drink machine was out of half of the drinks. Still enjoy eating here though. read more

Best place to eat burritos in brookings. Very quick and speedy to get your order done. But I would prefer more meat:)
