At the time, I wasn't having a good experience with my previous doctor's office, so my husband suggested that I ask to see Dr. Ling. I'm very grateful that Dr. Ling was willing to accept me as a patient. From my experience, Dr. Ling truly cares about the individual health of each of her patients. She doesn't just treat a test result or prescribe medication and send you on your way. She takes the time to understand the issue, orders the appropriate tests, reviews the results, and develops a plan to address the problem. One example is my blood pressure. It had been difficult to control, and several doctors had tried different medications. Some of the medications caused unpleasant side effects. Dr. Ling patiently worked with me, trying different medications and combinations until we found an approach that works. Today, my blood pressure is under control and, importantly, I'm not experiencing the side effects I had before. Another example is my bone health. I needed treatment that involved injections, but I really don't like shots and was also concerned about the cost. Instead of simply telling me that injections were my only option, Dr. Ling was willing to discuss a pill alternative and let me try it. If it works for me, it could save me both the inconvenience of injections and a significant amount of money. I really appreciate that she considers both my health and my concerns. Recently, I also needed a special lab test because of a hereditary health issue in my family that could potentially affect me. I brought the request to the office, and they were able to schedule me for an appointment the very next day. When I arrived, I waited less than 10 minutes, and Dr. Ling reviewed the request and signed the lab order right away. The office staff are also very thoughtful--they routinely ask whether I need any medication refills when I'm there. The office staff are friendly, helpful, and responsive as well. One time, my husband and I discovered that our online pharmacy had significantly increased the price of one of our medications. We asked the office to change the pharmacy, and they took care of it right away so I could get my refill the same day. They even allowed me to keep one particular medication at a different pharmacy because it was much less expensive there. Overall, my husband and I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Ling and her staff. What stands out most is that we feel like real patients, not just numbers. Even though the office is busy, we never feel like Dr. Ling is simply trying to rush us out the door. She listens to our concerns and genuinely wants to find solutions that work for us. With all the stories we hear these days about how difficult it can be to find a good primary care doctor, we feel very fortunate to have Dr. Ling as our PCP. It turned out I had a 3.5 cm nodule on my thyroid which was cancerous and a parathyroid that had to be removed as it had stopped working. The next day, I made an appointment outside One Medical with someone who could provide more helpful medical advice. On top of this, I received $$$ bill from One Medical. When I called their billing department to check on the bill, they thought I was calling to negotiate and they automatically reduced it in half. I complained to my employer who had to follow up with One Medical to sort out the coverage. Such a hassle, avoid and go to a real clinic and a real doctor.

The app listed a restriction for September 19th only. I arrived promptly at 8am. I was greeted by a nice person at the front desk. She unfortunately told me that I could not get my vaccine at this time. She stated that it was because there was no physician in the office and that their lab is limited to just blood work and the basic flu shot. She proceeded to tell me that a doctor will be in at 0830 if I wanted to wait or come back. I decided to come back at 0830 and run a few errands in downtown Burlingame/ wait in the car. I came back at 0830 and a provider was in house. I checked in and was able to get my shot. It took about 10 minutes from checking in to getting the shot to leaving the facility. The same person in reception helped me and she was very nice about it. I just wished the times and restrictions were more up to date.
