Not that anyone enjoys getting a smog... but this place does it right. They have two clearly labeled parking spots for those getting smogged and the process is so easy! They tend to be one of the cheaper places to get smogs and sometimes have coupons online. The nice thing is they are able to offer your registration right then and there so you don't have to mess with the DMV which is a huge win to me! The guy working had a mask on and regularly sanitized his hands while I was standing there. He also made sure I actually needed a smog as I guess some zip codes don't! All together I was in and out in less than ten minutes. My older car (1994) used to take a bit longer as the process was different but my 2017 was speedy! read more

The past couple of years I've gotten my car smogged here and it's been quick, easy, and courteous. There's not much to say about a car smogging place that keeps things simple. They do exactly what you ask and offer to complete your DMV registration there in a no-pressure way if you're interested. The one drawback is, since their machines are located on the strip mall side and there are businesses on both sides, the amount of car stalls for smogging can be a little tight. read more

Ok Jessie was of great service. It was quick, clean, affordable. There are so many of these places but something about these guys, perhaps there friendliness or prompt service but you won't miss out. I had forgot my coupon and they were good to honor it. They are located near Freestyle Martial Arts and Anna's restaurant. I've like their service do much that we bring all three cars of ours in for the last 3 years. It's a good location close to 80 and there's even a car wash near by if you need to clean the car. Score !!!! I forgot to renew car registration last week and really didn't see time in this week's schedule. And before you can register the car it has to be smogged. I was 15 minute early to meeting friends for dinner at Anna's and when I pulled in I discover this spot right next door. Couldn't be any more convenient than that. The gentleman greeted me as I stepped out of the car and got started. The car was smogged and registered in less than ten minutes. I wish he could have renewed my license too at the time. I've been here twice to get my car smogged for registration. Each time it's been quick and painless and I've been in and out in less then 20 minutes. No appointment necessary which is very convenient and at most I've had to wait maybe 2 minutes to be helped. If you pay extra they'll do the registration for you! I've had a good experience here before but one bad experience can ruin a business. They are convenient and fast but customer service can be better. I had one guy help me on my latest smog and he was terrible. I got a smog done early in the morning around 9am. Maybe he still wasn't awake but he had such a sour attitude the whole time!!! Goodness, I thought "What crawled up his butt so early in the day?" He was just curt by his responses and seemed annoyed by me. Anyway, it was kinda funny but I feel bad for him. He's lucky I'm still giving the place 4 stars because I do like this place but I might try a new smog spot close to theirs next time. read more

I had EXACTLY 45 minutes minutes today for a smog check before a conference call. I noticed banners on McCarran for the new Q's QuikSmog a few weeks ago, and decided to go there because it gave me the best odds of getting back in time. When I pulled into the reserved parking spot, the guy was standing by my door with the probe before I even had the chance to get out of the car. Now that's service. We chatted a little, and it turned out he's the brother (I think) of one of the owners. I had spoken with the owner once at his first location on Vassar several years ago. Obviously this guy's doing something right when it comes to service -- he now has four locations. All in all, it took me less than 10 minutes to get a smog check, and that included the time it took to drive there from my house. Amazing. And only $19.99. read more

I guess you could consider me a "loyal" customer because I haven't been to any other smog place in town since my short time here. Side rant: I'm from Florida. I don't know anything or WHY Nevada is all about this smog business. I think its just to generate more revenue for the DMV who makes out like a bandit with cash. I guess its just the stubborn Floridian in me that doesn't want to be told that I have to go the extra mile to prove to somebody that my car isn't leaving a remarkably large footprint on the environment.... okay end rant. Amazing service! I didn't even have to go inside. The friendly attendant ran outside to greet me. I was able to use the coupon on their website and I was in and out in 5 minutes flat. They pay your dmv registration for another $10, which I think it totally worth it so it's fast& on time. Great location and experience. Went in earlier this morning to have a new to me car - which happens to be a BMW - smog tested prior to going to DMV. There were several cars ahead of me so I waited 15 minutes and there was another car waiting after me. I wonder if the high traffic frustrated the tech, but this is what went down. When the tech sat in the car he pushed the start button 5 or 6 times and was not getting what he wanted to display on the dash so I told to push the brake and start the car. Boy oh boy was that the wrong thing to say. The tech completely lost it and kept getting more and more threatening over the next couple of minutes. Here is roughly how it went. 1. He said he smogs over 100 cars a day and knows how to start a car. I did not respond. 2. A few seconds later he said he really did not appreciate that I told him to push the brake. I said I was sorry, that I thought he was trying to start the car. 3. Then he escalated with telling me I had an attitude and just because I drove a BMW I was not better than him. I responded that he should not judge me just because the car happened to be a BMW. 4. That apparently was the wrong thing to say again because he proceeded to call me an asshole and refused service. I told him he was being unreasonable, that I just thought he wanted to start the car which is part of the test after all... 5. He called me an asshole several times, said since I was new to the area (the car has a temp Utah tag but I live in Reno so he jumped to conclusions again) I should learn some southern manners (what???) and not be an asshole. 6. I left and went to the place off 80 and was done in 15 minutes with friendly service. The sad part is I had been going there for smog tests for more than ten years (I am not new in town) for all five of my cars. Until today I would have given them five stars, but if they hire judgmental unstable and aggressive techs, I'm out. Stay away until that guy moves on. read more
