When you move to Nevada, I guess you have to get an initial Smog test done before you can register at the DMV. They offer the Out-of-state initial vehicle smog inspection which I did given that I just moved from California. No appointments are needed so I popped over around 2:30 on a Saturday. I was able to pull right in and I was all taken care in under 10 minutes! Only cost $22 which is cheaper than I've seen at other places. Service was fast friendly and efficient! I went to these guys this morning. There was no line and someone greeted me outside immediately. They got my odometer reading, walked around my truck and did the smog. I was in and out of there in probably less than 5 minutes. It was that quick. The guys were really friendly too and the price wasn't bad. I usually go to B's Smog but it seemed lately he's been closed or something. Smog Check NV is a little closer to me also. This is now the place I'll be bringing my vehicles to for smog checks. I had 1 day left in my car registration before it expired and was in need for a last-minute smog check. I drove up to the lot while one man was currently running a check on another vehicle. He talked me through my smog check and included renewing my registration. The staff here are very polite and funny, and got everything I need done within MINUTES. Fast, quick, easy, and open when they say they'll be... that's a 5 star smog check experience in my book. I've used this location a few times over the years and I appreciate the overall efficiency. They're pretty friendly throughout the process, have it dialed in so it only takes a few minutes, and keep the conversation to a minimum too. I also appreciate that this smog check has a big parking lot, so it's easy to pull in and out and you're never awkwardly waiting in line and blocking cars trying to move through it. They're also conveniently located in South Reno and they're also reasonably priced too. Bonus points for the extra discount they offer on their website too! All you have to do is pull it up and show them and you score an additional $3 off. 7/20/23 Stopped in to get my car registered and smogged.. Everything went smoothly... I was standing outside while the smog check was in process.. I had my papers in hand and then got back in my car.. Funny thing, I couldn't find my credit card.. Looked all around... Guys were so nice they helped me look and even let me go inside to re-check my bag.. Still couldn't locate it, so I was set to report it lost- Got to my credit union- looked one more time and it was in the back seat! Called to let them know I found it-.. "We've been here twelve years and that has never happened"... "except today"...just my luck.. "Another female came in 30 minutes later... same thing happened".. butt she was sitting on her card"... lol! Unfortunately, I'll be back in August for the 4Runner smog- Lesson learned! read more

This place is great. Very convenient because it's right across from where I live. But Prices are good . Very simple , just pull in front they will immediately come out and help you . They usually have a coupon all you have to do is ask if they honor the coupon for the Smog usually they do at least in my last experience. You can look it up I can't remember sorry In my experience this time i have an issue with my truck so it will not pass but they did tell me how to go about it and what to do online with dmv so i don't get penalized . Been going there for 5 years. Not a problem until today. I took an older, non computerized vehicle. He didn't seem to know what he was doing, took an extra long time. He set my rpms at 8,000 for ten minutes, it passed, then the machine wouldn't process the registration, which is now late and I'll have to pay a penalty. The WORST PART is he shut the car off after running it with the pedal the floor and it never restarted. Had to pay 100+ bucks to tow it home, plus whatever he BROKE which costs UNKNOWN! Customer service is awful here. I pulled up to an open spot that has a sign saying "open" and i'm waiting in my car while he is helping another gentleman in the spot to the right of me. Then after a few minutes of sitting in my car he comes over to me and says i can't do anything since you're parked in this spot. He said I have someone waiting and you're parked in this spot. I said i thought it says open? Then he said it does and walks off. Either this guy doesn't have a clue on how to direct his clients on where to park or he just wants to be rude to certain types of people for no reason. I've gone to this location for years but will never go back again. The two men at the location couldn't figure out how to ready the mileage in my car. The one man said screw and we will show it as broken. I said NO I'll figure it out. I did figure it out and the other guy made some comment under his breath. I also told them about the discount on the website for $22 and he told me it was new ownership and they were not honoring the discount. The wife and I have been going to this place for years. We have NEVER had any problems.....until today. A middle age gentleman starting yelling at the older guy that was doing the smog on my truck. Yelling about where I was parked. I told him very nicely, that I was in the parking spot designated with the word SMOG, clearly painted on that spot. I wish I would have got his name (Ken)?. VERY, VERY rude. You need a lesson in manners my friend, as well as how to treat customers and people. If you are the manager, you need to be replaced. Don't need to print out a coupon, just mention it and get the smog check for $20. So easy! I was here for 5 minutes tops. So happy that they close at 5:30 pm on weekdays. Free pen too! I went in to have my older class c motor home smog tested. It was not the easiest vehicle to do being a 1994 but Oumar was wonderful and kept at it until he got it done. He was so nice and helpful even guiding me when backing it up as my backup camera wasn't working..
