When first meeting with Jeff, the owner of Pasco County/New Port Richey Florida, Five Star…read morePainting, I felt assured by him that I would receive impeccable service. 1st red flag was a major lack of communication when my home was painted blue, but the painter had not taken down, nor discussed, the painting of my black shutters. He was planning to paint them while still attached to my home, which means there would be black stripes on the wall behind the shutters when done; if I needed to replace or remove them in the future then what!? I expressed my concern, and they took them down and applied the black paint properly to my shutters. The final walkthrough was completed with myself and donna, the project manager. We walked around my home and all appeared great, I completed final payment. I then asked Jeff for an estimate for painting my driveway. I started to put my furniture and decorations back where they belong, and while redecorating we began noticing some mistakes and areas forgotten. When Jeff came for the driveway estimate, I brought this to his attention; he told me to reach out to Donna my project manager. I asked Jeff if I could show him the issues since he was here and he agreed. I pointed out the multiple concerns, with each one Jeff responded, 'that's normal', 'oh that's nothing'. After those two responses I told Jeff that he was not making me feel very good, he laughed. The last thing Jeff said to me was, 'overall you got a good paint job, and you got alot of paint! Get with Donna to schedule the corrections.' At this point I was feeling very frustrated, but Donna came out to see and mark the areas needing attention, then the painter was sent back out. Supposedly Scott, the painter, made the needed corrections, but I was never informed when he finished. I looked over the property, some areas that he was to correct were not corrected. At this point I'm extremely upset, and I reach out to Jeff to ask why no one followed up with me after the corrections were completed? Jeff simply says to me, reach out to Donna. I spoke with Donna and requested to be provided a gallon of paint because at this point, I don't even want this company or painter on my property; Donna delivered me gallon of paint that week. About three weeks later I'm putting up a new play set, while on the ground assembling, I saw that between the bricks my house is still white, not the blue it was painted. I reach out to Jeff to discuss the new concerns, he told me Donna would get in touch with me, I never heard back from anyone! I'm still under their 2 year warranty!

They were professional and kept us well informed on both the interior painting as well as the exterior painting. Ken and Jodi did the interior while Rosemary, Raphael and Rodrigo took care of the exterior! I can't thank them enough for their hard work. And around the Florida showers too!!!

We debated between a new sea wall and putting rip rap in. In the end, we decided on rip rap as being the more permanent solution and hired Gulfside to do the work. They were professional. They were responsive to our needs and addressed concerns promptly and completely. We were completely satisfied with their work and five years on still pleased that we made the right decision. We are just now hiring Gulfside again to do a new project for us. We went back to Gulfside due to the great job done earlier and are super pleased with Paul Kelley, Drew Beard, and Wallace. Great team to work with and highly recommend them.

Prior to the final decking being installed the salesperson called us and said the owner didn't want to build the handrail we contracted but wanted to sell us an upscale elaborate hand rail for $1500 which was not necessary according to County Code. He would not deliver the final decking until we decided on the handrail. We said "we have a contract" and the response was "the boss doesn't care about the contract." He wouldn't even talk to us. The sales person said he doesn't like to be disturbed. We did not buy their $1500 handrail. They did credit us for the original handrail but now we are having a problem finding a contractor who will only build a handrail. It's a small job. My husband is handicapped and cannot enjoy the deck until a handrail is built. I would not recommend this company.

How's this? Very long. Please read all the way through…read more *****BUYER BEWARE***** Do not use this company. The owners name is Ray. He's a good talker. I had wood privacy fencing installed, board on board. I will give him credit, his pricing was very competitive to others I had gotten. Now, I see why. The first thing he did was to cut my cable in two places...after it had been surveyed. There went my cable for a few days. Annoying, but not impossible to live with. The fence was installed and on one side you can see where it bows out into the neighbors yard. It's not straight. No, there is nothing there he had to go around. It's wide open. He just couldn't follow a straight line, I guess. When I asked him about it, he just shrugged it off. He said, "That's just what happens. I'm not perfect." Now! The gates! The gate on one side seems to work fairly well, but it's also the one that doesn't get much use. The other gate has been nothing but problems from the start. It was not straight across the top. It rubbed and pinched on the hinge side and wouldn't close properly. Looking at it from either side, you could see immediately that it was not straight. It was kicked in at the bottom on the hinge side. We were told that was the best he could do, he wasn't perfect. And, the gate did open and close and latch, right? For a week, yes. Oh! And he pointed out that he didn't charge me for the hinges! Apparently, hinges are not normally included in his gate pricing? Who'd have thought? I guess it was just nice of him that he didn't just prop the gate up in the opening. He "gave" us hinges. That's just like the fence posts. He told me he was doing me a "favor" by using concrete in the holes. He doesn't usually. Keep in mind, however, there was no concrete on his trailer. When I asked about that, he said they forgot to load it and went and got it himself. A little over a week later, pickets were popping off, a couple boards were split and the gate was completely unusable. He did come out and replace the pickets. Reluctantly. He also "adjusted" the gate, it was somewhat better. At least, usable. Recently, about a week later, I had loose pickets and one that came off completely. His answer? Seal it. Seal the fence and that will prevent any problems. I told him that the gate wasn't working either. That they still hadn't addressed that issue. He ignored it. He told me he wasn't going to come out every time there is a "loose board" Then...the kicker. " I don't give any warranty he got a great job " That is a Direct Quote from his text message. I then sent him a picture of his own estimate where he had written : "One Year Warranty On Workmanship " His response? " Warranty is void if fence is not sealed " Now, just to point out, that is NOT written on there, nor did he ever "imply", verbally, that was a contingency for his "warranty". We did talk about sealing the fence while he was installing it and he just said, "Yeah. That would be a good idea. Help it last longer." I also want to mention that he "preferred" cash. He said that his estimate was for a cash (only) price. If we wanted to pay by debit or credit, he would have to add at least 3%. Again, this was not something noted on his estimate. Other estimates I received, said that it included a 3% charge for debit or credit which would not be charged (reducing total) if paid with cash. He was very demanding about getting his money. Even "suggesting" that he would get paid if he did a better job. Was he admitting he didn't do a good job? Bottom line? BUYER BEWARE! This is a glaring example of the old adage, you get what you pay for. If you decide to use him anyway, make sure that he's going to use concrete in the posts and that his pricing structure for gates includes hinges! And, don't forget to ask about the "warranty". You may want to ask if it's contingent on "sealing" the fence

Called to ask what happened and was told "yea, I just couldn't get there". So.... Unprofessional to keep someone waiting in the first place and then no apology. No regard for people's time. Doesn't instill confidence in potential work to be done. We will look elsewhere.
