BEWARE GM Quality Transmissions TulsaNice enough employees but not sure they know what they are doing. They told me the rebuild would take 2 weeks....it took 3 weeks.They initially diagnosed my transmission as having a bad pump.  They rebuilt and reinstalled  the transmission but it still wouldn't work. So they pulled it again and said that the torque converter and pump were bad. I questioned how the pump  could be bad if they rebuilt or replaced it.  Austin, the shop manager, said that they checked out the pump but found nothing wrong with it.  I told him that according to one of his mechnics the initial issue problem was a bad pump.They pulled the transmission a second time replacing the converter and pump however it still wasn't fixed.  The truck and transmission both overheated. They flushed the transmission cooling system and that seemed to fix it .....FOR 2 DAYS!I called the shop and they said they wouldn't be able to even give it a cursory look for another week.Like I said they are nice enough people but if you want a Quality transmission rebuilder as stated in their name it's unlikely you will find it there.Thursday May 31st update.  One week after breaking down again, my pickup is still in their shop, unfinished.  They say that it may be ready tomorrow  we will see.  I did talk to the owner on the phone today.  His reasoning that they are still working on it is they are busy because it's tax season.  WTH it's the last day of May and people don't schedule their need for transmission repair. It's not a set of tires! He also said my particular transmission can take 4-6 weeks to repair. I call BS and also called other shops in Tulsa.  The shop with longest estimated repair time was one week. They are a bunch of con artists. They replace with slavage transmissions. We sued them for fraud and won. Suggest everyone else do the same. Word of advice sue him and the business as a dba.....he plays games with his lack of legitimate business structure. read more

Total CROOKS! They had my son's car for 7 weeks for a transmission rebuild. Called when they finished. My son goes to pick up his car, pays almost 2k for his repairs. They THEN tell him after getting his money that his hood on his Trans Am is damaged. Lady in office said it was from a test drive and the hood flew up. The owner, Nathan, gave a completely different statement. Said it was caused by faulty shocks. BS! My son got his car home and he and my stepson put another hood on it because the one they damaged cannot be used. The hood they damaged isn't cheap. A OEM Ram Air hood. Also cracked the windshield when it flew up. After further inspection and driving the car, SEVERAL knowledgeable individuals stated, there was NO shift kit installed like promised and we were charged for. I called myself to discuss getting the issue handled and Nathan was very rude, unprofessional. He began cursing and denying any accountability. This place rebuilt my transmission I had to take my truck back 3 times. First time I took it back because I still had the exact same problem as when I brought it in. So second time I pick it up there was a wrench left under my hood and a line not connected so by the time I made it home fluids had leaked out. The third time I took it in the line they had to fix from the first time needed a gasket at the end only for them to tell me if I go buy the part then they would fix. Bottom line if you use this place just PLEASE have a real mechanic double maybe triple check their work. read more

DO NOT GO TO QUALITY GM. They worked on my truck 4 different times in less than a year! Worst company, shitty people, they don't care about you they only care about the money. My truck takes a 1994-95 trans only. These dumbass' put a 98 in the truck, down shifted really really hard from 4-3 and 3-2. They took about 2 weeks everytime even though they told me 1 week to the weekend. Every time they said the trans was "all new from bell housing back" i knew that was bullshit. they reused old parts that SHOULDNT OF BEEN REUSED, they didnt even put a dust cover back on, and the shift linkage was only held on by 1 bolt! also i had to pay for the 100-200 tow all 4 times. my exhaust wasn't put back together correctly, they used the wrong nuts and bolts now i have a bad exhaust leak. They did a great job rebuilding the 4l60E transmission in my 2000 Suburban. It was towed in on a Tuesday morning and they had it ready on Wednesday morning. The price was way less than others I had called. read more

Where to start. Had a 4l60e rebuilt and had to take it back 4 times and it never did work correctly and burnt up in less than 150 miles. The truck sat unused for a few months between taking it back in. In that time the ownership of the shop changed and the warranty records conveniently got deleted from their computer so they would not look at it again even though the people that did the work said it could not be out of warranty. I had to take it to another shop. This shop found 1. missing thrust washer in input drum. 2 incorrect order of assembly of 3-4 clutch pack. 3 out of spec clearances iof input drum assembly. 4. 2-3 accumulator piston in upside down. 5. 3-4 accumulator piston did not have a d-ring installed on it and was plastic when it should have been changed to a metal one. Incorrect bolts used to fasten valve body. No wonder it it burnt up. It is obvious that the people are untrained and that transmissions are not rebuilt but only torn down and only badly damaged parts replaced, warn parts are reused. Then if your lucky it gets reassembled correctly. This didn't happen in this case. So maybe under the new owner things have changed I don't know. I'd ask to see training documents for all techs I'd let them do any work. I hope this is an isolated case but I fear not and have heard may others complain. read more

Called 3/5/18 to ask about bring my vehicle in for a transmission rebuild. Was told there is a short waiting list (no more than a week) and that i'd be added and that they would call me when they could get me in. A week passes, and i've heard nothing. Called again 3/12/18 to ask if there is still a waiting list, only to find out I had never even been placed on the waiting list. Wasted my time, taking my business somewhere else. read more

SAD NEVER WILL RECOMMEND! Supposed to be a top notch highly recommended shop for totally rebuilt transmissions. Picked up the rebuilt tranny one day had a shop put it in the next day. Little did we know that 2 bolts were stripped and the back bolt free spun. When we added the fluid and did everything we were supposed to do fluid started a fast drip through the bolt holes. Called Quality GM first thing the next morning and told them about what I have and paid $560 for a NEW ROTALLY REBUILT TRANNY, not one that leaked the first day. I told them I wanted my money back or them to rebuild me a new tranny, they told me that they can't do that the only thing they could do is put Heely Coils in it. If I was gonna do heely coils I would have bought a used one or had someone rebuild my tranny I took out. They had to have known they stripped those bolts before they sold it to me. So 2 hours drive, 4 hours total and one day off work and a bad transmission to boot. Now another trip to Tulsa so 4 hours road time and another day lost from work. I had several transmission shops tell me that if it is leaking through the bolt holes they cracked something. Quality GM told me well you know that it is aluminum sometimes that happens... Not if they were put on the right way. WHERE IS THE GUARANTEE? THEY DO NOT HAVE ONE! MY ADVICE IS DO NOT GO THERE! I would have been much better off to stay in town and have mine or another one totally rebuilt and known that it was done right. Would rate this place a 0 if possible. BUYERS BEWARE!!! I do not recommend buying any transmissions from these people they slap them together and pray they hold together. They don't check to make sure the transmission is put together properly. I recently bought a transmission from here and took it home installed and I had a issue with the shift linkage it worked on my old transmission perfectly before I put my new transmission in. After installing the rebuild transmission my shifter cable wouldn't shift into park. At this time I thought it's got to be my cable so I bought a new one it's a two piece cable I replaced both halves after spending a few hours adjusting the new cable it still won't lock into park. So my friend towed me to a GM dealership because Tulsa is to far and I'm not going to drive blind not knowing what gear I'm in. And a tow truck is out of the question. So gave permission for the dealership to take a look. They said " the inner manual linkage nut was very very loose " so at this point I'm also having concerns about what else is very very loose? One of the employees said "this happens a lot and it was just over looked" WOW. I think it was more under looked. If I could have rated this shop no stars I would. read more
