Even though their prices are much higher than what I am use to, they are comparable to other grocery stores on the island. The selection is not as big as some of the other grocery store that I have been to here though. I also noticed that a lot of their items did not have prices marked on them. They have meats, alcohol, fruit, drinks, breakfast food, and everything in between. I did not however, see a bakery or pharmacy. I just stopped in here to get some quick snacks to hold me between my restaurant visits. I probably would not do my major grocery shopping here though, as Plaza Extra has slightly lower prices, larger selection, and larger quantities. As most reviewers noted, this place is a bit cleaner and organized than the other places, but I can bear it to save a few bucks. The staff was not mean, nor were they over friendly. They did their jobs. They would tell you where something was, if you asked, but they were not very engaging or welcoming. They were all business. It is a decent place to get some quick items, if you are in the area, but if you have time you may want to comparative shop and see where you can find the best deals.

They have a huge parking lot that it shares with the other businesses in the strip mall that it is in. The parking lot is not very well illuminated at night though. The reason that it is ok is that it is not the cleanest store, nor does it have the freshness looking produce or meats. They do have a wide selection of items including alcohol, automobile stuff, meat, fruit, veggies, and snacks. The store looked like it was closed as I was pulling up to it. It is that much dimly lit. Also, their prices are a bit cheaper than other grocery stores on the island. They don't have a floral department, bakery, coffee shop, pharmacy. Even though my interaction was limited with them, the staff was very friendly and one was even joking with the customer in front of me. It's a bulk store that caters to the island's restaurants and if you have a business can sign up for their business discount. But for me, it's a place to go where I can find creature comforts from home. Here you can walk in and find wagyu or Kobe beef, Chinese dumpling, and vegetable spring rolls. Texas Pete Hot Sauce or quail eggs are but a shelf away. It is like being at an international food fair but all in one store. I know my friends back on the mainland are reading this and asking themselves, "Yeah sounds like any Asian market..." But when you are living in the Easternmost territory of the United States, it really is saying something that you can find all these items under one roof. Some items can be a bit pricey and my only complaint is that you have to get here either before 5 on weekdays or before 3 pm on Saturdays because they do close early. Don't be afraid if the directions seem to be taking you off the beaten road, QF is tucked away and off the main road but once you get there you will know you found it.

For example you can usually judge a place by Caesar dressing. For those who haven't made Caesar it's pretty easy to make. But it's easier to slop some out of a jug made by Cisco. Not here it's the real thing. Properly prepared shrimp and grits. Delicious iced coffee. Naan Pizza. For the people the that have to have breakfast food the have all that. Eggs and bacon and whatnots. They really take pride in what the serve. The atmosphere is really nice. Air conditioned. They have beer, wine, and hard liquor. But so does the hardware store down here. So the next time you go to toast and there are 73 people in a space designed for 8, swing up the block to Josephine's. Who are you resist?
