After walking past Cafe Fresco for several days when it was fully booked, I showed up a few minutes before they opened to be sure to get a seat. I ended up enjoying breakfast with a friendly couple that frequently vacations in St. Croix. In any case, they recommended the blueberry pancakes, which were positively bursting with blueberry goodness. It was like little blueberry exposions in my mouth, in the best way possible. The eggs and turkey sausage were also great, and I was pleased that they had a non-pork meat on the menu. It's easy to see why Cafe Fresco is always so busy! read more

I wanted to grab an early breakfast before diving and I saw this place, and its reviews, so I decided to head on over to Christiansted for some breakfast. The waitress/owner was really nice and accommodating. The food came out fast and hot. I ordered a ham, spinach, mushroom, and cheese omelette and it was great. The toast it came with was great too. We had Saturday brunch. The service was excellent, the waitress was a relative of the skier, Jean Claude Keeley, and she was a sweetheart. Cocktails were great. Everyone's meal was excellent. My ham and egg wrap with chipotle was delicious and was a generous portion. If you are on St. Croix, don't miss this place, it is a gem. We went to Cafe Fresco for an early lunch. We saw the beautiful courtyard while on the Hamilton tour (highly recommend the tour) and thought the courtyard looked so inviting that we - and nearly everyone from the tour - wound up there for lunch. I had the chicken quesadilla with the homemade sweet spicy sauce - it was delicious. I was only able to finish half so was able to bring the rest back to our condo. My son had a veggie burrito and a "cup" (way larger than a cup IMO) of corn chowder. He really liked both too. Our waiter owns Cafe Fresco with his wife who is the chef - he was great. Super friendly. Definitely recommend going here - we will be back. Would love to go for breakfast next time! read more

Possibly the best restaurant on the island. The staff are friendly and inviting. We dined here for lunch and breakfast and had to come back again for a second lunch. Everything from the ice tea to the salads and the sandwiches were amazing. I highly recommend the blueberry pancakes. They will change your life. We were regulars until today. We love the food and drinks and the staff are wonderful! We have two special needs kids one Autistic and one with Down Syndrome. Our kids love to run around when we eat outside when we are the only table which is often. Today the Owner came out and yelled at our kids and yelled at us because our son was kneeling on a chair twirling the umbrella which my husband was with him. This woman yelled at us like she knew us, like she was family... meaning she treated us not like patrons that are there every two weeks, she yelled at us like we were robbing the place. The waitress felt so bad and kept apologizing. I said I cant believe this owner would treat patrons like that , she clearly is removed from reality. You lost good patrons and regulars and I can only imagine this Karen operating her daily life outside this business. We will go where we are welcome. Shame on you lady. Blink and you'll miss the entrance. Off of king street you'll see two pink buildings. One will lead you into this little courtyard that houses this amazing little cafe. Go in. And watch as locals come in and get their morning breakfast and chat with the owners. School girls will swing in and grab their breakfasts. The coffee is alright, but the meal is ridiculous. There's a local chiropractor that comes by almost every day. She makes one of the most delicious hot sauces that you'll use in your dishes. But!!--if you ask, you can buy a bottle. It's amazing! We walked up 30 mins AFTER they opened and there was nobody even seated- not one person. All the tables had "reserved" on them, but empty. They told the 3 of us it would be a 30-45 mins wait. We ended up going elsewhere as this was not the first time this happened, and doubt we will be back which is too bad because our office is just a few blocks away. read more

This is our favorite breakfast place on island. We have come here every day on our trip. The owner is super friendly and the food and drinks are amazing. I got the biscuit stack every time so far. The bacon is crazy good and the special hot sauce made by a chiropractor friend is the best! We got a bottle to take home. On Saturdays they have brunch with $3 Bloody and Mimosas and a special menu.
