    Bed bugs

This motel is nasty it has BED BUGS I do not prefer anybody to stay here. It is very nasty bed sheets are stained and smells

    Water damage

Going off the name, I expected more. For the most part it's a passable place to stay one night compared to the other options in the neighborhood. For the price I paid for a two night stay I want expecting a mint on my pillow, but I was expecting the bed to be made for my second night stay. All that was done was the blankets were pulled up over the pillows. Ten year olds are better at making a bed. Attention to detail while cleaning should be taught to the cleaning crew. There was trash in the trash can and it's been an extremely long time since the door frames and picture frames have been dusted. Maintenance needs to up their game as well. The bathroom ceiling has peeling paint, the drapes have burn holes and the ceiling in the room has stains from a water leak.

Avoid this place like the plague! My family stopped here on our way through to Branson late at night and this is easily the most disgusting hotel we've ever stayed in. The bathroom is dingy, our mattress was stained, the "clean" towels were gray with dirt stains (they were supposed to be white), the elevator sounds as if it's going to break down on you. What I'm describing is after we got an upgraded room because our original room smelled like spoiled milk had set into the carpet. Just flat out disgusting and filthy place

The ball of pubic hair I found in the shower drain that I was referring to in my post

Upon our arrival on Friday and walking in the hotel it is very nice. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. They let us know that they have a free happy hour, and on that night, they were serving bbq pull pork and mac & cheese. You also get drink tickets for 2 free drinks per guest. We had a king bed room on the 4th flr. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was a good size and nice. We got settled in and went down to happy hour. I can't review the food because we had dinner reservations and did not eat anything, but I did use my drink ticket for a glass of pink moscato. I can also say the shower had great hot water. They also have a free continental breakfast, which included biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, potatoes, oatmeal, and make your own waffles. I just wish they had bacon. The hotel is also close to restaurants and stores. We have decided this is our go-to hotel for all of our visits.

And it was cheaper than the locations in Missouri and there is no parking fee. The staff were very friendly. We didn't encounter any problems. We stayed in a two queen bed room on the third floor and I never heard one door slam the entire stay. Normally I am wake up multiple times a night from rude guest slamming doors in the middle of the night but the soundproofing must be better than IHG properties. The free hot breakfast is great. My son loves making waffles every morning. And I enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. I didn't care for the potato. But there was hard boiled eggs and scrambled eggs, sausage and yogurt. Plus coffee, juice, milk and a pop machine. The 5:30 Kickback has something different every night. While we were there they had fajita Friday, pulled pork on Saturday and pasta on Sunday. In addition they have hot dogs, soup and chips and nacho cheese every night. Each adult can also get 3 alcoholic beverages. They had wine, beer and cocktails to choose from. We would stay at this Dury Inn again if we are in the area.

General - I have never stayed at a Drury Inn before and I had heard good things about them so…read moredecided to give them a try on my last road trip with family. Location - This Drury was in a suburb (Fairview Heights) close to St. Louis. Lots of great restaurants and shopping are just a short drive away. There is also a decent sized mall just down the road. Rooms & Building - After staying at a couple Drury locations, you will notice that each one follows a similar pattern. Lots of seating in the lobby (which is great when getting food), nice size pool and hot tub areas, and sprawling complexes with additional seating nook found throughout. Our room was nice and comfy and easily fit our family of five. The building was in good condition and easy to find right off of the highway. Amenities - This hotel had a cool inside/outside pool that my kids loved to play in and nice (a little small but still relaxing) hot tub. Parking was free and utilized a large, private lot. There was also an office center and a small convenience store to purchase items from. One of the main selling points for me was their free evening dinner and free breakfast. Oh, and I can't forget about the free popcorn in the lobby. Food - While staying here, you are able to take advantage of a free breakfast and dinner buffet. The breakfast layout is your standard hot/cold/continental buffet. Hot options include eggs, breakfast potatoes, breakfast meat, sausage gravy, and waffles. Continental options are available too such as yogurt, cereal, breakfast breads, fruit, etc. I have to say that Drury had the best biscuits I have ever had for a hotel's breakfast buffet. I ate so much biscuits and gravy here, ha! The dinner buffet was great. At first, I thought it would just be a great way to save some $$, even if it wasn't the most enjoyable but the food was actually satisfying and filling. Food included hot dogs, soup, salad, pasta, meatballs and mashed potatoes, nachos, etc. Adults also get three free alcoholic drinks that include various cocktails, beer and wine. The kids can enjoy AYCD soda. Vibe - Easy going and super friendly staff. All the staff worked extra hard to make sure all of the guests were having a great stay, super cool to see. The hotel is definitely geared towards family but includes some nice higher-end touches like comfy seating areas, relaxing pool areas, and a decent size gym. With that being said, there will be a lot of kids running around but it wasn't as loud and crazy as I thought it would be. Reality vs. Online - Pictures that I saw on their website and online matched the quality and condition of the hotel and rooms in-person. No surprises. Price & Final Verdict - I paid about $100 a night. Great bang for your buck, especially when you included the free food and drinks that you can take advantage of. Drury's are a great place to pick if you want a casual all-inclusive experience while traveling, especially with kiddos.

Manager keeps light off in the area around the dining room (tables set up) without recognizing that people sit there for reasons other than waiting for breakfast and evening "kickback". I know they use the lights as messaging to the guests when kickback starts (Though NEVER at other Drury's) but the manager (woman with long blonde hair) walked past me twice sitting in the dark rather than offering to turn on the light while I work on my laptop. Food choices for kick back don't take into account non meat eaters like all other Drury experiences I have had (It's not really free when the room rate (159.00) is much higher than others in the area). I would not recommend this particular Drury though I highly recommend the other Drury's!

I reached out to booking.com to find out what was going on but they weren't able to help. An hour after showing up the front desk clerk offered to let me check in by doing a walk-in rate. So now I've paid twice plus a $100 deposit. I get my son and dogs to the room around 9:30pm and find out the toilet doesn't work. I tell the front desk clerk who says he'll call maintenance, then walk out the front door. We get food and come back. Toilet still doesn't work. The next morning around 7am I take my dogs out and ask about the maintenance guy. Apparently he came by while we were out but never went in. Flash forward to 10am, there's still no maintenance man. I ask about a late check out so we can do the activity we were supposed to do the night before but couldn't due to the check-in issues. Mike argued with me about charging for the late check out. Finally I said Motel 6 could either give me free late check out or reimburse me for the $60 tickets. He chose to do a free late check out. It's now 10:40am and no maintenance man has shown up. We get back around 12:30 to check out. Four days later I called to ask about my deposit refund. The woman that answered the phone said it should have been done at check out, but that she was initiating it now. So Mike didn't initiate my deposit refund at check out, the woman did 4 days later. I called the next day to receive a full refund for my stay and was told by Mike to not call them again and he hung up on me.

Our room was over stuffed with furniture, a large Chaise Chair. Really in the way of desk chair and getting to a closet. The room seemed ok cleaned although one of two light bulbs in restroom was not working. Checked in online with an electronic door pass so did not have inner-action with desk staff that evening. This location is right next to the busy I-64 with constant heavy truck traffic. The staff in morning was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok with not as many choices as other Hamptons. Only ones at breakfast around 8:30am. There are other Hamptons in St. Louis area which I wish I would have looked at reviews on. The pictures on website are not true as there is no overhang at lobby entrance and our room did not look like this.

I asked very nicely if I could have a set of keys and go up and inspect the room before I brought anything in out of my car. They let me do that and I walked into the room and it was spotless. As they said, they refresh the rooms so it appears that the bathrooms were redone and I just felt overall that it was gonna be a good inexperience for 11,000 points or $94 for a 15 minute drive to St. Louis. I did talk to the front desk about the plethora of bad reviews in the past and even recently. And all the gentlemen could do tactfully was say that there is now a new management team at the hotel, and they are working diligently to gain the trust of the Marriott Bon Voy travelers . What I would suggest and what I would do exactly is I would leave everything in the car and check into the hotel, walk up with your set of keys and inspect room and if the room doesn't meet your expectations calmly walk downstairs and ask for another room. The price , you can't beat the price.

It's within easy walking distance to Fridays and another bar and grill as well as a Circle K gas station. You can't walk much further than that, though. Pros: -Great parking lot. Tons of extra spots and it was easy to get a good spot near the building. -AMAZINGLY modern for a Holiday Inn. I don't usually expect modern interiors from Holiday Inns, but this one does nicely. The lamps all have plug-ins built in for charging your phone, the bathroom lights offered optional motion-sensitive lighting, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the room. -Room was very clean upon check-in. Absolutely no complaints. -Staff was mostly friendly. Our check-in was awesome, and she was very friendly and talkative. When we tried to renew our hotel stay for another night, however, the night audit staff seemed pretty annoying. She seemed a bit short-tempered and like we had been bothering her by asking. We felt bad for wanting to pay for another night. -Beds are comfy. AC works wonderfully. Heat works fine. -Rooms come default with a refrigerator and a microwave. Both were in fantastic working order. Cons: -No hot tub. The pool is your only aquatic playplace. -Internet was spotty. It was regularly disconnecting itself on my laptop. When it worked, it was decently fine, but I regularly had to force it to reconnect. Workable for browsing casually (and writing Yelp reviews) - not acceptable for online business calls. -Unlike most hotels in this star-range, Holiday Inn doesn't offer a complimentary breakfast. They offer an affordable ($8 or $9, I think) adult buffet in the morning. -No free weights. The "fitness center" includes two treadmills and a reclining bicycle. Works for your cardio needs, but you won't be able to do any strength training. -Room was noticeably small. We were put in one of the handicapped-accessible rooms, and the walkways were noticeably narrow. A wheelchair fit, but it was a very, very tight fit. -We had a conference that we were attending at the Four Points by Sheraton hotel across the street. Holiday Inn was the overflow hotel. That's totally fine, BUT there's a giant wind/garbage wall built between the two properties. You can see the hotel, and it's easily within a 0.5 mile walking distance, but you have to drive to the next block instead of walking. -Room service was spotty. First night was great - even the extra blanket we had brought was nicely folded at the edge of the bed. Second night, the garbage hadn't been emptied, none of the empty bottles had been cleaned up or moved, and someone had just shoved newly-folded towels into the bathroom shelf.

I was interviewed yesterday for a breakfast service role by John the manger. During our interview several comments struck me as off. 1. I mask, my mother had cancer and is undergoing chemotherapy, I have to mask for her safety and mine. John immediately told me he was not sure he would allow me to wear the mask during my time working here. In the state on IL that request is in fact illegal. It was not up for debate. The interview went on, I am younger in my 20s. John made several comments on how my generation does not understand hard work these days. I will admit this is a common comment by older generations, however it makes no difference in my mind as it fosters a hostile work environment. The most disgusting comments that were made however involved both John and a blonde middle aged server. John made several racist comments about china, and further comments about Indian people. The owner of this hotel is of India decent for context. The blonde server came over and continued to make these comments as well as using a mock accent to describe Indian people. Over all this was a disgusting interview and a I would not recommend staying let alone working here. I pride myself on being a hard worker and as a former manger, I understand the BASICS of management. Fostering a welcoming and at the least safe work environment is step one when managing employees.
