Stay away! Do not book a room here!! This is the most ratchet hotel I have ever stayed in. One neighbor decided to leave a room full of kids alone for hours on end. Another neighbor knocked on our adjoining door all night and yelled strange things in the hallway. We ended up having to call the police since they were obviously strung out! Stay away from this place....I had an article of clothing stolen from a room I had to vacate because of poor maintenance. (Unfortunately, I realized I left my shirt behind only after I was in the new room unpacking and had turned in the old key. I thought it would be ok to wait until morning to re-gain access to retrieve the article. Not.) Well, when I was able to check the next morning before housekeeping arrived, not only was my article not there, clearly, someone else has used the room - without the front desk having record of re-issuing that room to anyone in the interim.......think about that one..... read more

Room was ok for quick nap which is what I needed during long drive. Really, too pricey for just that. Nothing I saw screamed Quality. Room & bathroom were at least visually clean & neat. Antiquated and dark decor. There was not an ice bucket in my room. Upon a visit to front desk, was given plastic garbage bag in lieu of replacement ice container. That's just tacky! Then found there was no ice in ice machines on any floor. No water in vending machines. The rate was not spectacular at $98 plus taxes. read more

Just stayed here after a wedding on Friday night, check in around midnight. Went up to our room took a shower went to bed, couldn't work the TV cause the remote didn't work, no biggie woke up in the morning checked out, 2 Days later I'm billed 200 dollars for a broken chair, a messed up wall, and a broken remote lol, I thought the wall was jacked up so I took a picture of the fine craftsmanship, I didn't think I'd get plammed for it, do not stay here I'm not the only person this has happened to here, google is filled with reviews of this place of people complaining about getting charged for damages they did not do, I hope someone can do something read more

Total sh*thole! I did not get a handicap room that i reserved, instead i got a small room with bars in the bath tub. No anti slip mat in tub, no bars anywhere near toilet, can not access half the room with a wheel chair! They over charged me and refused to fix it! Rude desk employee, rude manager! Broken lamp, toilet barely worked, old nasty carpet. DO NOT STAY HERE! nicer, cleaner, better hotels at better prices just down the road. This crap shack needs to be empty! read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. DO NOT book and stay at this hotel!! I was there over the weekend for a wedding. I booked a suite. When we first arrived into the room it smelled horrible like mold and cigarettes.The jets on the hot tub did not work. I tried to call the front desk but the phone was not working. The room next door had a dog that was non stop barking. I had to constantly walk to the front desk and ask them if they could do something about the dog. This morning I woke up to $33 worth of charges on my card because 2 face towels had makeup on them!!! Beware this place is horrible. Worst experience at a hotel and way overpriced. read more

First off, let me start by telling you that I stay in hotels very often due to my career, so I know a thing or two about hotels. The only and I mean only good thing at this property was McKenzie the front desk agent. The WiFi never worked, the "cable" consisted of 2 channels, the AC was on the Fritz half the time, the furniture is so disgusting and old, the carpet had burns and stains in it, the shower pressure was not existent, only 2 wall plugs in the entire room worked, breakfast item was oatmeal packs, no wall hooks to hang up towels - and that's just to name a few things. I talked with the manager Alex, whom could give no shits about anything. Why did I stay here and not leave sooner you're asking? Well this was the only place in a 50 mile radius that had a separate room available. I'd never recommend this place. read more

Horrible!!! Had a reservation, canceled it yet was charged. Been calling for a week getting the run around. Corporate was of no assistance either. The overall location of this hotel was nice. It was close to shopping and food. The front desk staff is pleasant but the owner/manager doesn't stand by what he advertises. False Advertising: Pool/hot tub closed/no water. Breakfast had muffins, cereal bars, yogurt, coffee, and juice. Bathroom dirty/out of date. Tried to cancel 2nd night due to change in schedule and the lack of amenities. Manager/owner won't respond to call. Priceline tried to help me with the refund of the 2nd night due to the lack of amenities but they said it was really up to the property. The manager/owner hides behind his nice staff and won't talk directly to the customer. He just refuses to stand by the property he owns and falsely advertises. Just has his staff put you in voicemail. This hotel is very out of date and advertises as if it is a new modern banquet center. I am disappointed with Priceline that they advertise properties like this one but then can't help their customers when there really is a problem. The front desk staff was extremely rude. Did not even look up when I approached the desk. Made just about everything possible difficult. The first room had a hole in the ceiling above the toilet/shower are in the bathroom, extremely concerning as a female traveler. Especially in an area where privacy is key. Once I made my way to the bed area there was a stale smell. The top sheet and several of the pillows where yellowing. I pulled back the comforter and there was hair on the bed. I asked to change rooms. When approaching the 2nd room I noticed the door was open and there was an overwhelming smell of mens cologne. This made me feel that someone had been in the room. Glanced over at the bathroom and the toilet had obviously been used. Hair was on the towels. Bed also had yellowing sheets/pillow cases. The door would shut but would just open without a key card. I then decided to check out and not stay here. The front desk again was very rude about this, telling me there was no way to get my money back because of a 24 hour cancellation policy...even though there was literally a hole in my ceiling. I was traveling for business and work in the restaurant/hospitality industry. The absolute worst hotel experience I have had. I felt extremely uneasy as a female traveler. Will never recommend this hotel brand to any of my clients, friends, family, co-workers etc. read more

We've stayed at this hotel before, and didn't have a problem. We stayed here again since we were attending a wedding. The check in experience, well... I called to see if I could check in early (like 2-2:30) and the lady on the phone sounded irritated that I'd ask such a question. The person checking us in wasn't very friendly. And it took a long time for some reason. We get inside the room, and I immediately find a few things wrong. There was still hair from the previous guest in the bathroom, and on the clean sheets. The microwave and fridge were dirty. The furniture was chipped all over and the walls too. However the bed was super comfortable, we slept great, so that was the best thing about the room... sheets could've been softer. The heater.... well. It only had two settings. Boiling hot or freezing cold. It took me about 15 minutes to find a perfect balance between the two. If you need non alcoholic drinks be prepared to pay up. On one floor drinks were $2, another $4!!! Ridiculous. Checking out, both front desk associates were not friendly and seemed like they'd rather be somewhere else. No smiles whatsoever. Asked me how everything was without even looking at me, I didn't want to get into what I disliked about the room right there. Checking out took a long time as well. And since I had to get back on the road, I couldn't wait for them to print me a receipt of the bill. This hotel could really use some upgrades, even if you fix the sheets and the heater/AC units that would be a great improvement. Make the sheets softer and get your heaters working and that would get you another star. And tell your housekeepers about the hairs. It's pretty off putting I'm sure. read more

This was most likely the worst hotel experience I've ever had, little to no welcome once entering the building tried to take a shower after check in but couldn't due to the 6 inches of drainage back up sitting in the bathtub I proceed downstairs to tell the front desk and the young women at the desk said "here's your key I moved you to a room down the hall after you move your stuff from room to room COME BACK downstairs and give me the key" not only did I not get an apology for my inconvenience at any point but I have to come back down once I move all my stuff from room to room to hand your the key? I called this hotel ahead of time before booking to make sure the hot tub was working. They said the hot tub was working. Me and my friend are both going through physical therapy, and our therapist recommended using a hot tub as part of our recovery. We chose to stay in a hotel so that we'd have a hot tub ready for multiple sessions throughout the day. It's 99% of the reason we stayed in a hotel. We get there, unpack, decide what what to eat and then go to the Pool area for a soak. First off, they had no heat on in the pool area (in February) so it was about 50 degrees in the room, which would have made using even the pool uncomfortable. Secondly, the hot tub was not working at all. The water temperature was tepid, and the jets were not functioning at all. That was the whole reason for our stay. We went and put our regular clothes back on and went to the front desk to cancel the reservation so we could go to a hotel with a functioning hot tub. At this point we've hardly touched anything in the room and have not even laid down on the beds yet. When approached, the front desk lady calls the General Manager to ask if she can refund the room and was told no, because it has to be requested within 20 minutes of checking in to get a refund. So in other words, I have to discover you're lying to me within 20 minutes or I don't get my money back. 20 minutes isn't even enough time to grab your bags from the car and unpack. From my perspective, if they're willing to lie to my face and then not honor their mistakes when discovered, what else are they willing to try to get away with? If there was a major problem with the room would the same policy be in place? Something for prospective customers to think about. From the small amount of time we spend in the room, I can tell you it wasn't fully cleaned. It probably hasn't been updated in a long time. There were spots that appeared to be moldy. The room itself was extremely dry. Dry to the point where our skin got itchy just from being in there for an hour. The heater looks to be about 30 years old at least and does not have a proper thermostat. I personally will never stay at this place, nor any Quality Inn & Suites again. And I will be avoiding all Choice Hotels (their parent company) options in the future as well. read more

I set up a room block in December 2015 for my August 27th wedding. I was given a group rate of $126 for rooms with a double bed and a cutoff date of August 6, 2016. No reservation guarantee was necessary. In July I called the online reservation department because the regular room rates dropped down to $130. I was told to contact the hotel directly to check the number of room s rented and request a lower rate. When I called the hotel directly the front desk and group sales department claimed that they could not access or change the group reservation because it was made online. They did; however, offer me a rate of $115 per night if I contracted with the hotel directly. The catch was that I had to personally guarantee 5 reservations. First off you are only giving $15 off as a group rate? No thank you. I decided to stay at the Holiday Inn in Oakbrook instead and discouraged my guests from staying there also. Especially after I had guests call to reserve rooms using the room block code only to be told that the room block didn't exist! Wait now...I thought neither the online group sales/reservations or the hotel itself could manage to access the room block?! So either they lied about their not being a room block or they lied about not being able to access the block and make changes. Either way I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. I don't care how polite you are if you are lying through your teeth. read more

We ate, came back, and they said the reservation was lost "by the computer". We had to drive another hour for another room, and they drug their feet to refund us. What a joke. read more

The quality is inncognito! The hotel is dark and dirty. When we checked in, staff was rude and very curt in their responses. We had to wait 10 minutes so they could deal with customers on the phone. This wouldn't be terrible except we saw them roll their eyes and make faces as they talked to potential customers. When we made it to our room-the the elevator smelled like vomit and the third floor had an unpleasant aroma that we couldn't place. The room itself was straightened but not clean. We stayed here for a wedding a couple weeks ago. The room was dumpy and not clean. Old looking carpet and furniture. Smelled like piss in the hallway. The young Arab kid working was ignorant. He took a phone call on his cell while in the middle of helping me. Made me stand there and wait until he finished talking Arabic to whoever was on the phone. After about 5 minutes he hung up and walked away from the desk. I had to yell for him to come back. The management need to fire him. He's rude and disrespectful. I'm not the only one from the wedding who had issues with him. I think his name was Ramie or something like that. The girls working the desk in the morning were great. Polite and helpful. Good Afternoon. To all who may be reading this review PLEASE avoid the mistake I made by booking not one but two rooms. It was my daughter's eighteenth birthday. The first clue to a BAD Hotel is they WILL NOT let you see the room before you check in! Seeing pictures does not show the true quality of the room! Two they make you pay for the room up front? The rooms are outdated to say the least. The room that I had the A/C was not working at all and the room smelled stale and of course they were sold out which is amazing however some folks may just need a place to lay their head. I checked out the same day and I was given the run a round regarding a refund. The manager was unavailable and now I have to chase the manager for my refund. If I could have given ZERO stars I would have. My advice Stay at the Hampton in Matteson ILL They are pricey however as the saying goes YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! read more

There were roaches in the bathroom. When I was checking out that morning I was asked to email the pictures I took. Right after I over heard another employee say "theyre down here too". This employee was the woman who was serving breakfast. I've stayed at hundreds of choice hotels for work, but not again. I've had too many bad experiences with them throughout the country. This hotel is in a great location for people that are visiting the suburbs of Chicago; it is close to entertainment and restaurants. My husband and I needed somewhere local to stay on our wedding night after the reception, and we chose this Quality Inn because the pricing was reasonable. A few of our guests also stayed here. Our expectations were low to begin with, but this hotel still managed to disappoint. The biggest issue was that, for some reason, the hotel had turned off all AC to the guest rooms. It was 68 degrees outside and 78 degrees in our room. No fan, no ability to open windows. My husband had stayed in the room the night before as well and had alerted the front desk about the issue, but no changes were made; they told him to just turn the whole unit off. We know we weren't the only guests to complain, because we heard passing conversation in the elevator about it, and our friends/family also lodged complaints. A few groomsmen showed up to get ready with my husband that afternoon, and they had to prop the door open and stand in the hallway to withstand the heat. The lobby and hallways were cool, so the AC was clearly working in other areas of the building. We ended up checking out 45 minutes after arriving that night because we could not stand being in the room and certainly couldn't sleep. The desk attendant couldn't have cared less about the issue and didn't even consider offering a partial refund for a night that wasn't spent in the room. Stayed here over the memorial day weekend, just one day to celebrate Son's birthday. The only reason I am giving this hotel three stars is because Francis the supervisor was very professional, kind, and accommodating. If I only had to deal with her then my rating would be higher. Upon checking in the man at the desk Mark, or Matthew was rude. He needed additional identification which was given to him in less than a minute, but he still took care of other customers going through an entire process which all he had to do was allow me to sign a paper and I would've been fully checked in. The next lady who had to continue to check us in, had an attitude and was snappy. When I asked for pool towels she gave me less than the number I asked for. When I got to the room there were not enough bath towels, nor was there in an ironing board, and the pull out bed was not freshly made after previously being used, by previous guest. It had stain on sheets and crumbs. I didn't find all of the above out at one time. I'd made two calls after check. The first call I made I requested more bath towels because we have a family of five. The man at the desk, the same one who did the partial check in told me, "well you have to come to the front desk because we don't bring towels to the room." What kind of hotel does not provide customer service, or bring things that should be in the room to the room? The same lady who finished out check in came to bring fresh bed linen and pillows after my second call. She then threw the linen on the bed. I asked was she going to make the bed, she said no. I just thanked her and asked for a garbage bag. She was bothered, rude and unprofessional. The room itself was ok. The sofa was soiled. They really need to change the furniture. As far as cleanliness, I would say fair. We stayed in the double queen suite with a separate space for the sofa bed and kitchen area. The beds were actually full size and not queen size. read more

due to an automobile accident, we were unable to make it to the hotel. we explained this information to the front desk clerk. it took a week for the manager to make a decision that since we didn't cancel our trip 24 hours prior, he would still charge us for the no-show. the accident was not our fault, totaled our vehicle, and sent my husband to the hospital. poor customer service. read more

Terrible customer service!! I called and cancelled 2 rooms 48 hours ( only 24 is required) before my reservation and the Christine at the front desk only cancelled 1 (after verifying that she would cancel both). 4 days later I check my account and my card was charged. I've been calling for 2 weeks now trying to reach the manager just for him to say "I'm sorry you feel that way it is nothing we can do, have a nice day". I told him that I understood it's hard to justify giving out refunds to whoever his boss is and that I would be okay with a hotel credit for 1 nights stay free. He then told me "I am the boss, there is nothing I can do". I then told him about a previous experience that I had with this SAME location of how they gave me a smoking charge and said they couldn't smell smoke but there was "evidence of smoking". My Husband booked a stay here for our honeymoon. When we got to the room the room smelled like a fish tank that had not been clean in months. I went back to the front desk an ask for a refund. I was told they have a 24hrs cancellation policy and I would not be able to get my money back. The front desk clerk said it is up to the manager discretion on whether I would get my refund. The front desk clerk gave me the manager card and said call the manager to resolve this matter. I called the manager that week and he sent me to voicemail. I did not stay in this hotel at all that night and they took my money.My suggestion to every and anyone do not visit nor stay at this hotel. I am just disgusted with the fact that they took my money but I did not receive service. If you do stay at this hotel ask to see the room before paying for the room. This is a terrible hotel.
