As soon as I opened our room door , I was over come with the smell of a damp moldy smell. I went down to the front desk and asked the woman , how old was this hotel, she told me 20 years old , huummmmmm , I'm guessing from 1980 . Well got another room and the smell was slightly better. If I Hadden pre-paid on Travelocity, I would have gone elsewhere. So the moral to my review, you get what you pay for . I wish I paid more to stay in a modern place. Stay at your own risk read more

Stayed here last night and there's a smell from the air conditioner, musty. The bathroom has mold and mildew, and no shower curtain. When my husband asked about it, they handed him a shower curtain and he had to put it on. read more

This place is gross. I don't recommend it at all. I'm staying here because it's late and I have to be up early. There are black streaks in the toilet. The bathroom fan is falling off the ceiling. The bathroom wall is cracked. There is a napkin being held up by a chewed piece of gum over the peep hole on the door. The shower hear is gross and corroded. The outlet by the bed where I would need to charge my phone doesn't work. The window sill is just nasty. I don't believe a vacuum attachment was ever used to clean the edges of the room. Parts of the carpet don't even go together. The shower has good water pressure though. That's about the only good thing about this place. It's old, outdated, and even the towels smell funny. I'd like someone to pay special attention to the coffee pot. Just look at the picture. Speaks volumes. This is by far the grossest place I've ever stepped into. If you need a place to stay, go next door. Don't go here. read more

If I could rate this place a zero I would. The room was disgusting. The carpets, furniture and bed sheets were stained. The toilet was dirty. The lock wouldn't lock. We had to put chairs and luggage in front of it so my son wouldn't get out. The AC didn't work and it was hot all night long. If you're needing a place you stay for a night, don't come here. I'm with Katie S. and Danielle U. This place is an absolute TOILET. 1st thing that hit us upon opening the door was the pot smell! It was like the 60's just left. Upon further inspection, things went from bad to worse to totally uninhabitable (see their reviews). I give them applause for toughing it out overnight. My wife and I were so grossed out we left. I stopped at the front desk and voiced my displeasure with as much control as I could muster to the front desk girl. She did offer me another room, but it was quite unlikely that any room would have been a quantum leap enough to be comfortable. The pictures dont show the 1/2" gap under the door that would allow any lizard, snake or bug free access. Nor the chair that a thrift store would turn down due to the dirtiness or the ottoman missing 1 leg that was tippy. I asked for a refund and of course was denied. I've reached out to Choice Hotels and was offered some points - whoopee. My goal here is to get someone that has some authority enough to make a change to listen to me. The fact that there were only 3 other cars in the parking lot should have been my 1st clue. STAY AWAY!!! read more

STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK! We bought a string of hotel rooms (4) for family members for us to attend our grandmothers funeral and this hotel is completely TRASH! From check in the website is completely outdated! 1. Breakfast is not being served due to covid 2. The pool is being worked on and is not operational 3. One of the rooms had mold growing on the ceiling within the shower and the bathroom area causing our family members to get sick; they left and found a hotel within Marianna BUT we're still charged for the prior night and the next after the complaint was made about the mold! 4. In our room we found the mold was covered by paint and coming through the paint. Meaning when we used the restroom or took a shower we had to leave the door open as closing the door made us cough uncontrollably and sick. The staff workers were not accommodating in moving rooms around as we were giving the excuse of the hotel being at capacity. The next night when my aunt and cousin left after finding the mold they rented the room right back out to a couple in the same condition. SMH! 5. Our ac unit did not stay running and would shut off in 10mins increments and it was incredibly hot outside and inside the room! We couldn't sleep! 6. My sister and nephew had to complain to the front office 6 different times because their room key kept decoding. This is VERY frustrating! 7. The hotel is sketchy as hell! During the day no one is there! At night literally people come from out the woodworks! People standing and talking outside; even drinking and being belligerent drunk! This happened on multiple nights while staying there! 8. NO MICROWAVES WITHIN THE ROOMS! YOU HAVE TO RENT THEM! WTF!? Yes! They make you rent the microwaves! Unheard of! 9. The rooms have a weird smell! Let's just say it's so bad we all went to Walmart that day and bought air freshener and lysol spray! 10. Checkout is at 11 and housekeeping comes around about 8-9am every morning! The morning we were to checkout they asked when we were leaving so they could clean! Literally 3 different housekeepers approached us at our room door to ask when we would be checking out! Like wtf! 11. Our shower head had corrosion in it and was filthy! It has not been washed in decades! 12. Complementary shampoo and conditioner were previously used and we were not given new ones! You would think they would be prompt about this concerning covid! The manager here was a joke. When I booked the room through Priceline I accidentally put in the dates prior to my arrival date. I totally own my mistake. However when I didn't even realize that I had booked the wrong day until I arrived and was told that I was marked as a "no show" and that a note had been placed on my reservation showing where I called and cancelled my room. I did not call nor did I cancel the room. The hotel had already charged me the room rate and an incidental fee. The hotel was not full when I arrived but the manager would not allow the courtesy of applying the room rate already charged for a room that I did not even use. Instead wanted me to pay again for the night that I did show up for. Again I understand my mistake but customer service is huge!!! We went right next door to the Comfort Inn where we were greeted kindly and spent the night in a very nice suite for not much more than Quality Inn was charging for a standard room. read more

Great place to stay if you are traveling and need to stop for the night. When we stopped to get a price we were quoted $79 and when we told the attendant we were going to check other places she came down to $60 so we took the room. The rooms are dated but are clean. Free wifi, Sony flat screen tv mounted on the wall and the beds are actually super comfy. The hot breakfast which is included is ok but not great. All in all we were happy and got a good night's sleep. We'd definitely stop here again in the future. read more

Booked this hotel at the last minute on Priceline without knowing which hotel it was, and it turned out to be the best hotel during our week of traveling. Staff at the night desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds, including the parking lot, were very clean. Our room was spotless, beds were extremely comfortable with soft sheets, room had a coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, iron, hair dryer. Water pressure was great in the spotless bathtub/shower and towels were big and soft. This was the only hotel that actually offered a real breakfast and not a "grab and go". Hotel offered waffles, coffee, tea, juice, cereal, grits, oatmeal, muffins and the dining and sitting areas were very clean and comfortable. read more

Very clean hotel. It is right off the highway and next to a gas station. Breakfast is included which wasn't anything serious, but better than most. The breakfast had eggs, sausage, biscuits, cereal, yogurt, fruit, bread/toast, bagels, juice, coffee and tea. For free, it was perfectly fine. The beds are super comfortable and clean. Bathroom could use updating, but was fine. Large size TV in the room, and free wifi. Lots of fast food near the hotel, McDonalds is about an extra mile down the road. read more

Absolutely horrendous! I reserved my room on reservations.com and when I arrived, I went into the room and there was a black spider on the bed! I didn't touch it asked the manager to refund me, he came in wiped his hand over the blanket wiped it off and said no no that was just dust speckle!?! I was in utter shock and demanded a refund and he wouldn't allow it! I called reservations.com and after 30 minutes on hold I was disconnected and nothing was fine. I had dogs which were not allowed to stay do I slept in the car with my dogs after driving 700 miles bc all other hotels were full and this old Muslim Indian man had the nerve to then charge me $50 EXTRA dollars after just using the shower bc he claimed my dogs were in there!!! I wouldn't sleep in that dirty bed if they paid me let alone let my dogs dogs n. This man is scum, I called the police to which I find out this isn't the first time he scams out of Townes out of their deposits. Sgg huh ame on him. Last law suit awaits him. read more

Did not spend the night here to buy real estate in the property! Linens were lovely on the bed. The microwave and refrigerator in the room were most adequate And greatly appreciated. The facility was quiet. Arrived mid afternoon, and found it weird that I was not able to go in to the lobby rather had to conduct my business through the night window. We stayed here after the motel next door wanted to charge more than they quoted per night and also lost our reservation. We paid $70 per night. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Sheets were soft and the room was very clean. Bathroom facilities were acceptable and clean. The breakfast buffet had eggs, sausage or bacon, biscuits & gravy, milk, juice, coffee, cereal, muffins, yogurt and pastries. The desk clerks were very nice and helpful. Hmm; I've come to the conclusion that the bed played a role in my poor sleep while I was here... Also the room was plenty dark during the day when I wanted it to be light enough to see and do stuff, but also plenty of light came in from the window at night, when dark would have been nice... The fan in the bathroom (which comes on automatically with the light) is so loud! Breakfast had a pretty good selection- hard boiled eggs and cereal and yogurt and toast is what I went for. This is my first time staying in a non Hilton and it's very nice! Mattress seemed new. Room was very clean and fresh. I'm not big on the doors being outside doors. We found and called this hotel around 10 pm while driving on I-10 and a nice lady on the phone told me they had vacancy. She gave me very reasonable price for a night. Hotel located in the very quiet neighborhood right off the highway. We felt comfortable leaving all suitcases and belongings inside the car overnight. Room looked newly remodeled and very clean. Mattress was very comfortable with white and clean bedding. It had a big TV with a lot of channels for kids and adults. Bathroom was clean with plenty of towls. The only inconvenience for us was lack of microwave oven inside the room. My husband wormed my kids food in the lobby. Plus there was only one vending machine and it didn't work. Breakfast was OK just usual hotel food. Great hotel to stop for a night after whole day of driving. If you are looking for a hotel just to sleep it's a perfect choice. read more

Credit card fraud! Hotel charged my card for prepay, charged the guest, asked me to fax my drivers licence and credit card to their hotel and then hung up when I called to question what was going on! Bad business......stay away. I am still trying to get the charge off my card!!! Stayed here one night 5-12-16 NEVER AGAIN - room was dirty especially the bathroom with black hairs all over the floor. The TV only had a few channels, and reception was so bad I turned it off, then after I left the next morning, the general manager charged my debit card (without my knowledge) a fee for a cat. When I checked in, the check-in lady mentioned nothing about no pets allowed. The general manager forged check-in document making it look like I signed OK to the extra fee. We had been staying there for a month in two rooms. One room had a very strong mold smell two of our guys were getting headaches and nausea. We asked for a new room for them the manager gave them glade . Finally we asked for a new roo. From one of the empty rooms and were told no. We showed the owner/manager the dirty moldy a/c unit where the odor was coming from. He said we should have cleaned it since we were there so long. Never again at this place. Er will be here 3 to 6 months at 110.00 a night for each room and they wouldn't accommodate us for a room swap. read more

The front desk people are rude. We came to get out of hurricane Mathew as we are from Jacksonville with our whole family. We paid a great rate the 1 st 3 nights the the rate almost doubled as hurricane people showed up. We have filed a complaint with the Attorney general for the state of Florida against them. We were told by the rude man at the front desk pay it or vacate. This is illegal and they will see fines. He told he " this is a business and we can charge what we want" we also had to call to get the room cleaned and the toilet unclogged. We needed to stop for sleep while on road (I-10) after Midnight last weekend and searched several hotels finding only unpleasant reviews. But something about the Quality Inn stood out even though there was only 10 reviews or so we were tired so we gave it a try. Very nice staff checked us in and again checked out in morning. They even upsell us on a spa suite but we just wanted rest. It was a fair price, clean and felt comfortable enough to get a good 7hrs sleep. Awoke to a whining child outside door stairwell but slept well from 1:30a on... too bad we slept through breakfast! Just make sure as soon as you get into your room you plug the air-conditioner in and turn it on. Plus it was the bathroom floor was very clean. There was some dust around the Kleenex holder which I'm sure though take care of now. So if you're tired on I 10 around Chipley Florida stop in and get some rest looks like they have a pool too. This hotel is a great value for a pit stop on the side of I-10. The room was very clean and smelled fresh, the beds and pillows were comfortable, the TV was large and new and the breakfast was quite passable. It wasn't the Marriott, but be weren't expecting the Marriott and for what we were prepared to pay for a hotel room it definitely exceeded expectations. We would stay again. read more

Hotel itself was very clean etc. Manager on the other hand did not want to work with us on a mistake we made. We booked for the weekend after Memorial Day weekend because it normally falls the end of May and we went ahead and paid for the Memorial day weekend and then asked if he could take the money we had already paid to Choice hotels (which was in the account already and use it when we come back up the 3rd and 4th of July and we realized that the rates were much higher and that we would pay all the difference if he could just give us a credit for the $123 that we had paid. I also want to mention that we come to stay in Chipley once every month and every holiday. So for $123 he has lost our business and several members of our family that come up as well. Also, as far as Choice awards go they advertise that if you stay twice in their hotels you get one night free that is complete false advertising. We have been a member since May 2012 and so far we have been able to get 1 night free because the points they give you won't cover any hotels close to the highway or in any good areas you have to have about 12,000 points to stay one night and that takes you about 12 stays.
