This was my first time staying at a Quality Inn and probably my last. When my girlfriend I checked in the check in process was extremely quick, almost too quick. But the people at the front desk was very friendly. We got to the room and it wasn't bad looking. There was little things like dust, and bear bottle caps behind the dressers, also the jacuzzi tub wasn't cleaned that well. Breakfast was really good, and the ladies that worked the breakfast area was very nice as well. I didn't have an issue until two hours after I checked out. Three days before I checked out I called the front desk while I was out because i couldn't log into my online banking and I wanted to make sure that the hotel had received the payment for the room. The lady on the phone told me that the room was covered and that they received the payment. Later on that night I was able to pull up my online banking and see that they had charged me in full for the room. Two hours after I checked out I received a call from the hotel that the card that I paid with for the room had declined. I told her that would be correct because they had taken the money out for the room already and there was no more money left in that account. She told me that they don't charge the card until their guest checks out and told me that I had a balance and owed them $85. I told her that couldn't be correct I have already paid she put me on hold for a few minutes and came back and told me that i owed $419. Which was the full amount of my entire stay. I told her there was no was that was possible and that I would have to contact my bank to verify the charges but couldn't do so because I was driving at the time. It took me a couple of days with verifying with the bank that the hotel had received all of their payment. I called the hotel back 2 days (on a Wednesday) and asked them to speak with the manager. The lady told me that the manager was not in and took my name and number and she would have him call me back. I never received a call from the manager. I called them everyday up until Friday. On Friday , I called and told them I never received a call from the manager and on that Friday morning I was going into surgery and I didn't give them any authorization to charge my card again. The lady said she would make a note on the account and also let the manager know to call me. A couple of hours after I had got out of surgery I checked my bank account and saw that their was a charge on my account for " Quality Inn Gresham OR". I immediately called the hotel , spoke with the lady at the front desk who told me that the manager wouldn't be back in until Monday and that she would be helping me out. She told me their was a refund put back in my account for the charge. I still haven't received it. I WILL NOT BE STAYING AT THE HOTEL AGAIN , AND I ALSO WILL BE INFORMING MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY NOT TO STAY A QUALITY INN. read more

This place has bed bugs. I have tried more than 5 times to speak with a manager and have been dodged. We are lucky to say we didn't bring them home. There were 2 adults and 2 toddlers in the room. The cost was $91 for the one night we can into town from central Oregon for a cheer competition. My husband and myself have both emailed and had no luck with a response. It was a decent hotel minus the bed bugs and the lack of response is what really is the most upsetting. read more

The staff here is amazing!!! We had my bff's daughter's bday parties here for a few years now, and the staff is so accommodating!! I am ashamed I have waited so long to leave this review, because they are alwways exceptional! The complimentary breakfast is probably the best I've ever had! They have so much yummy food, hot biscuits and gravy, waffle makers, cereal, doughnuts, juices, coffees teas, oatmeal, toast, yogurts, bacon, sausage , scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, n so much more! You can eat in a restaurant style booth, and real nice server down there who is very helpful and sweet!! The front desk staff is so nice, very accommodating, and never once did they ever yell at, get frustrated with or snap at our children. ( there were like 10 girls, 7-10 years of age who all stayed the night at hotel for bday party). The staff was so nice to our girls, and to us, the best service ever! I was only in my room for about 3ish hours (early flight) but it was pretty nice. Everything was clean and orderly, the shower was decent and there wasn't a lot of noise that I noticed. The one person I dealt with at the front desk was pleasant and there was no issue in booking through Priceline. I only laid on the bed for about 20 minutes, so I can't really judge how comfortable it was but I would have no qualms about booking another stay here; one where I actually got to use the room for a whole night. read more

I chose this hotel because it was close to where I was working for the week. Very surprised when they told me there was an on-site bar/restaurant. Went for dinner and must say their food is amazing and reasonably priced. Entree and two drinks for $20. Rick the bartender is awesome. Turned TV so I could watch hockey game. Very good conversation as well. Highly recommend this hotel! read more

I have had the WORST experience with the Quality Inn in Gresham, Oregon! There staff has the worst customer service I have ever encountered! After a mistake with a reservation, I have been charged for a "no show" fee, AND my card is still pending over $300 ON TOP OF THAT for charges I do not know about!! I have tried to get resolution from the hotel management. But, instead of trying to talk to me about my issue, I was called a liar and was hung up on by the general manager of the hotel! I CANNOT believe this is the way Choice Hotels management treats their customers! I am still hoping for some resolution on charges. My family ended up with no place to stay, money taken out of our account, money being on hold from our account, and no help from staff in regards to trying to aid with the issue! I would never recommend for anyone to stay at that particular hotel! I am hoping someone will try to help, since the staff at that hotel did not even attempt to help my family and I with this issue. read more

If I could give them 1 star I would. They charged my card an additional $800! I called to have them release my funds and (I believe his name is Devin at the desk) refused to let me speak with a manager, he claims he's the only one in the building until the morning. No manager or supervisor on duty? Yeah right! I was told I had to wait 5 business days got my money, money I never authorized them to take out my account. I will never stay with them again and I will be sure to let everyone and every social media outlet know how terrible my experience was her. Horrible. Do not book here unless you are comfortable sharing someone else's hair, toothpaste, booger on mirrors, and garbage on floor. Disgusting. It's 10pm, we are tired... But we packed up our daughter (and her wheelchair! Ugh) to stay somewhere else. We looked at 3 other 'replacement' rooms: all filthy and the carpet was lifting so bad that it was a safety hazard. We had an amazing time staying here. From start to finish it was a great experience. 1) They let me check in super early (9am) which really helped because my husband was at a seminar all day and I didn't want to have to kill time all day with no where to go. 2) They let us check out late the next day - always great. 3) The accommodations were really nice and clean - great for the value. 4) Extremely friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and if we're ever in Gresham again, that is where we will stay. read more

I have been staying at different places in the state of Oregon. This place has been disappointing. Sadly, all the hotels in Portland in my price range were booked up. I called Quality Inn and was put on hold for about 5 minutes. So, my daughter called from her phone and was able to book a room. Why was I put on hold so long was a mystery to me. There was a young man who worked the afternoon shift and was the friendliest of all the staff. The next morning we decided to book another night because we did not want have another hard time finding a room. The room was booked easily the next morning. After a long day in Portland, we returned to our room ready to unwind about 5:00PM. Disappointingly, our room had not been cleaned! I approached the front desk to inform them of my disappointment of my room not being clean; at which time the manager had asked me if we left the "Do not disturb" sign in the door. Of course not... I would not be upset about the room not being cared for if I had left the sign in. They apologized and had housekeeping clean the room. The morning that we were going to leave, I realized my daughter looked cold and curled up in bed. She woke up and asked, "Mom, where is my comforter?" To my surprise, they did not put a comforter on her bed; sadly, she did not notice sooner. I again approached the front desk to inform the manager I would be leaving a negative review of the hotel. I believe the manager's name was Jeanette. Also, I told her about cobwebs in our room and dust build up behind the furniture by the outlets which we did not notice till that morning we were checking out. Most of the time, the room was to just used for getting sleep. She told me I should have informed them of this sooner. Umm... I did inform the night manager about my room being cleaned but my daughter didn't tell me about her comforter till she woke up cold. Jeanette did credit my account $25 and told me they do prize themselves on having the rooms deep cleaned. Sorry Quality Inn of Gresham, your hotel room did not reflect that. The breakfast was mediocre compared to the Hampton Inns and other hotels o have stayed at. There is ample parking. In comparison to the other hotels I have stayed at, the staff can be friendlier, can afford a deep cleaning in room 156. read more

We were in town visiting family. This hotel is excellent for the price. Very clean, friendly helpful staff, and good breakfast. My nine and 11 year old daughters enjoyed the pool, and I was pleased with the workout equipment. We were all happy with breakfast. We will definitely stay here next time we're in town. read more

So we stayed for a few days(my fiancé and me; both of us from San Diego) and literally this place goes above and beyond for its guests. The staff were more then happy to help us when we lost our key and making sure we were okay with supplies in the room. They have a breakfast buffet which was a plus, and indoor pool and spa and an exercise room. I wish I would've know that ! It's pet friendly and all the guest we would talk to were nice as well. It has a great atmosphere and such a home feeling. I gotta say this is the best hotel I've ever stayed at and it's so close to a few markets to just go grab food or gas or stop by the bank even. I've never heard of a hotel that will not check someone in if there is availability. After traveling since 6am and coming in at noon I was told that I would have to wait until 4pm because "the hotel does not check anyone in early". read more

I stayed here for 2 nights and my deposit was not returned because some of the towels were dirty ( not ripped or missing but dirty ) I thought that's what towels were for to clean and dry but not there so make sure you don't use your towels to clean up and spills or clean your shoes like what my boyfriend had done will never be coming back to this place again read more

I had reservations on Friday and thought I had booked it Saturday and was confused why my card was charged Saturday morning. When I got there there told me that my reservation was Friday and that booking.com billed me. They had the same room but it was 20.00 more, we decided that was fine and had cash but they wanted a card. Well my card was overdraft because they charged me so we had no place to stay and 4hr from home. The next day I called booking.com and they told me that I had a reservation Friday and Saturday and that the hotel charged me for a no show. I called the hotel and now I have to wait until Monday to see if they will refundo me....not happy at all. read more

To make this long story short, I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday with a night at the Gresham quality inn. On Christmas Day, I noticed my bank account was charged $350 on top of the $95 I paid to stay here... When I called I was told that we smoked in the room and was treated very rudely. First of all, I am 36 years old, I work in hotels, I know to never smoke in a hotel room. I contacted my bank to contest the charges as well as personally went into the hotel to speak with the manager. My boyfriend and I explained to him that we would never do that. We also said that we would never jeopardize having to pay such a fine as we were in the process of saving that money for an apartment. Here's where it goes from a little insulting to extremely unprofessional. I began emailing with Greg Martin, the hotel manager, when he began stated that I would say anything I found necessary to get out of paying the fine, because I am in a financial crisis?!?!? I have literally stayed in some of the top hotels in Oregon, I have stayed in some of the not so great hotels in Oregon, this experience has been by far the worst I have ever dealt with. I am in the customer service industry and by the way this manager has interacted with me reminds me of how not to treat guests or anyone for that matter. I am completely appalled. I have read in other reviews their lack of rectifying other situations where they took "fines" that were not authorized. It seems to be a theme for them most likely due to lack of business. To top all of this off, my boyfriend and I were sick for days from their continental breakfast. This place is, at best, 1 dim star! read more

When I made my reservation at this hotel, I was not told that they DO NOT take cash payments. I had to use a credit card that I did not want to. The bed was alright and the pillows a little too soft. In the morning, Housekeeping was so noisy they woke me up. They were cleaning the next to me. Breakfast good. A wide variety of items. I won't be staying here again. Powdered eggs. Undrinkable coffee. No privacy sign available for door. When we did leave, told front desk. Staff missed cleaning our room anyway. The worst part is the dryer.....wash clothes, then put clothes in a dryer that refuses to dry anything no matter how much money you put in. Which is fun. Considering you really need a full night's sleep..... and have to stay up late waiting for the dryer so as not to pack wet clothes....And did I mention our reservation was all confused, after I tried adding a day? Straightened that out, but geez. Your customers mght as well stay somewhere with actual eggs, actual coffee, and a working dryer....or just don't offer those services at all, Quality Inn. read more

I have stayed in this Hotel twice in the last year, August 2015 and August 2016. I enjoyed both my stays. The hotel was clean and pleasant and the breakfast was fabulous. However, on my most recent stay they have double charged me and have yet to fix this error. Not only have they not fixed it they can not explain to me with any logical reasoning why I was double charged in the first place. It was now been 5 days since my stay with Quality Inn, Gresham Oregon, and they still have TWICE the monies they quoted me at reservation, check-in AND check-out. I will not be going there, nor will I recommend this to anyone, as it is extremely frustrating to have several hundred dollars more missing from your bank account, because of an "error" on their part they cant explain and have yet to fix. read more

We stayed in early Aug 2017, and were very pleased with the location, the cleanliness and the customer service. My husband's shaving razor was left behind and they made sure it was mailed to us promptly. Thank you to the staff for their help. The breakfast area was very nice. BEWARE THEIR BAIT AND SWITCH! I booked a room here through one of their reservation sites, sat for over half an hour, gave them all my information, i.e., address, credit card info, and then bang, oh wait, the price is actually $90 more! I was desperate and almost took it but realized that it was so out of our budget because of needing a room for 3 nights that we ended up cancelling our trip! Two couples of were traveling together and stopped for two nights at the Quality Inn in Gresham, Oregon. We had spent the night before at a Quality Inn in Bend, Oregon and enjoyed it enough that we asked them to make a reservation for us in Gresham. We wanted two rooms, one being a handicapped room, with a refrigerator in each. We wanted the queen bed that was $109 on their web page. When we got to the hotel in Gresham we found that they had given us a double queen bed instead. This was with about 20 to 30 cars in the parking lot and the building had four stories. They should have had some single queen rooms left. They charged us $125. Then they said the second night would be $135. The manager was the person who was checking us in and I asked about why the second night was higher. She said that their rates change daily. I have never seen a hotel that doesn't charge the same price each night unless the second night is a holiday or weekend. Anyway, the two nights that should have been $218 total were $260 instead. After we checked in we discovered that they would give a 10% discount for AARP. All of us were well over age 55 (the AARP membership age) but the manager did not offer this discount. This reeked of bait and switch to me. Then we found lots of issues thereafter. The maids would park their carts diagonally in the hallways blocking them entirely. We did not get a refrigerator in our room which we needed to refrigerate medication so we had to buy ice and keep it in an ice chest for two days. The carpet in our room was stained in two places. The elevator was sticky with a spilled drink both days even though we notified an employee about it. There was laundry in a large pile at the end of one hall for all day and night. The door for the hotel laundry room was propped open all day and night right across the hall from our friend's room. That made it quite noisy. The tables in the breakfast area had been brushed off and the crumbs were on the carpet in very noticeable piles both days that we were there. Basically, this hotel is very poorly managed and they play games with the rates. We will never return and recommend you do the same. read more

Understaffed and dirty- clearly struggling. Room was dusty and vanity countertop was gross with hair and dirt in corners. Bedspreads didn't match- one was just a cotton blanket. Yucky floors under bed skirt- just kind of gross. Staff was nice enough but room cleaning the first day included making the bed and putting new towels in the room. It was not vacuumed, sink countertop not wiped down, incredibly dusty after 1 night with air conditioning on, toilet paper , tissues and cups not restocked- just dirty. Breakfast- not good. Garbage on lobby floor. It just seems like the owner is cutting corners with a small staff and not fixing an extremely dirty ventilation system. Our friends who were also staying at the Quality Inn were not allowed to check in til after 4 pm because they could not get the rooms cleaned. I will not stay here again-convenience of location is not enough to get over the bad scenario. read more
