We stayed 3 nights as our grandson had a baseball tournament at the Sports Complex. This hotel is very close to the Sports Complex (maybe 2-3 miles) and takes pets. The charge for a pet is $15.00. The owners are very nice and helpful. The manager, Grey, cleans the trash cans and the parking lot to give a nice outward appearance. Our room had new drapes and plenty of lighting. The wifi was great. The breakfast was offered until 10:00 on the weekend and 9:00 weekdays. The room we stayed in also had a fridge and microwave. We stayed in room 25 and it was quiet. There was also a cheerleaders competition in town and the hotel was booked for the weekend. read more

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. When we arrived we were told the room we paid for was unavailable(My husband is disabled and we booked a handicapped room). We were shown another room. It looked dumpy and smelled off. It also wouldn't accommodate my husband's needs. We declined that room and began searching for other accommodations. The clerk at the desk was on the phone and told us they were trying to get our room squared away for us. About 20 minutes later we were told the room was ready. Apparently thr prior guest had an emergency and they needed to turn over the room. They showed us the room and it was ok, not great but ok. It appeared clean but they had clearly sprayed air freshener to cover the funky smell. We checked in and got ready for the night. When we woke up in the morning we discovered ROACHES in our room. I beought one to the front desk to show them I got an "I'm sorry, we can move you to another room." I said if 1 room has them they all do. Iwas then tols there were 60 guests and we were the only ones to complain. We left as quickly as we could! DO NOT STAY HERE!! read more

This location gives Quality Inn a BAD name. The only reason it gets 2 stars is for the two polite young gentlemen at the front desk greeting everyone else in the morning. My daughter and I checked in at 7 pm on a Friday. We're on a small vacation so we walk in happy and say "Hello!" To the lady behind the front desk. Never looking up from the computer, she starts to check us in without returning the greeting. Ok we're not going to let that interrupt our mood. She begins to check us in. I slide my chip in, it read approved and removed so I pulled the card out. She tells me that it wasn't approved on her side. WAIT A FREAKING MINUTE!!! I check my account on my cell. It was pulled out. She messes with her PC for awhile and then gets her manager. Ok great she isn't the only one here. Computers mess up all the time. I relax. The gentleman(?) comes from the back and she explains what happened but she didn't state that the card read stated approved so I start to inform him and he cuts me off while giving me the hand. He literally put his hand up to cover his view of my face. I know I have a strong personality. I know this and I was with my daughter so I had to set an example. But a hungry head started stabbing me behind my right eye so I called my sister down from her room to speak calmly for me. She did great. I got my key while they fixed it. We walked into our room and the smell hit me in my face (remember I have a headache) and I just become more agitated. It smelled as if a dog was just bought in from the rain and shook itself all over the room. I pulled apart the bed looking for black specks. The bed was clean.... Praise God. We didn't use the pillows because they smelled like the room. My husband came the next day and brought Orderban from home and sprayed the carpet and beds which got rid of the smell. We go to Cedar Point every year and this mistake will never happen again. I almost forgot about the morning breakfast that was included. The waffle/pancake maker was broken, so sausage patties and scrambled eggs were offered with hot and cold cereal. You had to fix your cereal there because the entire hotel used one gallon of milk. I cannot make this up. There were no pints of individual cartons of milk. NEVER AGAIN. The lady that checked us in must have been cross training because she was also the maid who never came into our room to make up our beds. We saw her in the hallway doing other rooms. read more

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! If I could give this place no stars, I would. My family and I booked this place to stay while we enjoyed Cedar Point. First, the room looks very outdated. I didn't complain about that. However, the morning of Saturday June 9th, the housekeeper came through. We were leaving to go to the park and he asked my son to bring out our garbage. What?!!? Are you kidding me?? Then he said, do you all need room service? I responded with yes. I was already skeptical about this shading situation. We left to have a full day at Cedar Point. Came back into the room and it was not clean. I...Could...Not...Believe...It!!! I was so upset, but I let the issue slide for a little bit until I called to the front desk. I told the receptionist my room was not clean. She responded that she was not able to come, but we could pick up the towels along with clean bedding. Again another WHAT!!! moment. My son got the towels and when he came back into the room, a cobweb right in his face. I immediately told my family to pack up and we are leaving. I went downstairs to let them know why we were leaving and it was a very uncomfortable situation. The person at the desk understood. She continued to check us out, but was having issues doing so. The manager came in and I explained the issue to him. He was so rude and disrespectful. Called me a liar, stating the room was clean because it was on the log. I explained that I do not have to lie and for what?!?! Lying was not going to get me anywhere. He never apologized and I told him that his customer service tactics are way off and he needs training. He never went upstairs to look and he was very argumentative. I told him I wanted my money back and he said you better contact customer service because that is the only way to get it. I left and contacted customer service. That also was a bad idea. They were rude. The woman on the phone told me that I could not do anything because I have to wait for 72 hours and apologized for any inconvenience. She was clearly reading a script. I was so furious. We stayed at another Comfort Suite. That was heaven. We couldn't wait to take a bath. I contact the customer service 72 hours later. It was a pure nightmare. After reading my notes, they were putting me on long holds, then hanging up. I finally got a supervisor, Benedict. What a waste!!! He was no help. He did not want to fund me my money. He offered me a refund, but for the lower night. I had to call back several times because he did the long hold and hung up as well. This place is horrible. This place was the flat out WORST hotel I have ever set foot in. Blood on the mattress and mold in the fridge. We took pics and video and walked right back out. The cowardly owner refused to refund us but Choice Hotels Corporate has. So his rude cowardice to pick up the phone and apologize did not allow him to screw a customer. The night manager kept spinning the story and actually called us liars. Uhh, pics and VIDEO of the Room, including the room # and of the conversation we had with YOU AT YOUR FRONT DESK - when you admitted a "maid maybe have missed things & you don't want to lose your job"- was so hypocritical that I feel bad that she felt compelled to lie and cover for this garbage business owner. Not a pleasurable experience. Front desk staff was rude. They charged us $40 for an extra person without even asking, then we're snobby upon telling them we had a guest over getting ready for a convention we were attending and refused a refund. Woke up to ants covering our table our first morning. Breakfast was mediocre. The controller for the TV changes only the channel, wouldn't change the volume or turn it on or off. Two story hotel without an elevator so you may have to tote your bagage up stairs. Your money can can be better spent elsewhere. read more

My fishing trip was cancelled by the outfitter due to the weather. I called to cancel the reservation I had made 2 days before the reservation. They said there was a 72 hours cancellation policy and refused to cancel my reservation and then immediately charged my card for the whole stay once we hung up. We stayed after Haunt. Arrived at 1a.m. no problems with check in. The room was clean and ready on arrival. Breakfast was adequate. We went down for breakfast and the breads were mostly gone, no muffins or donuts left. No one refreshed them either. No knives or napkins either. They have a dollar general across the street they should at least be able to get knives and napkins there. Also not sure where other users took their pictures of this place because we saw nothing like that. read more

Avoid at all costs! Bed bug issue and nothing but denial from management. Refunded my room costs but refused to reimburse for any treatments of our belongings. We checked the room as best we could before staying. Then woke up to one crawling in our bed. Not to mention they have an ant problem too. Pool was cloudy like milk. We were in room 25. My entire experience at this hotel was terrible. We into this location & as we were walking down the hallway we could smell some mustiness. As soon as we opened the door to our room it hit us full force. It smelled like the carpet had been soaked & never properly dried. While looking around the room we found the following issues: holes in the sheets, stains on the comforters, something brown smeared on the wall & desk lamp, cobwebs between the bed and nightstand, a piece of urine-soaked toilet paper next to the toilet, dust on multiple common surfaces, & a ceiling light held together by tape. It was clear that the room was not clean, & the smell was especially bad. We had an infant with us who could not stay in a room/hotel that definitely had mold in it. We told the Owner that the room was unacceptable & we were not comfortable staying in that hotel since you could still notice the smell in the hallways. He said there is nothing he could do to return our money since it had been booked through the ChoiceHotels.com site, & we would need to talk to them directly. This was a lie because I have spoken with Choice Hotels directly multiple times & they confirmed that billing is done directly by the hotel. An escalations representative spoke with the Owner & he refused to provide a refund to them as well. I am filing a BBB complaint about the conditions of the hotel & the conduct of the Owner. I strongly recommend saving yourself a lot of trouble by not staying here. read more

This place is horrible! After a whole night of driving we stopped in to get a few hours of sleep. The front desk person wasn't going to check me in because she didn't know how to handle the situation. We finally got a room and here are the pictures of the room! Gross!! There was mold in the bathtub and shower curtain , stains on the beds mirrors not clean and dust thick on refrigerator and dresser. Went to front desk and no one was to be found. Waited a bit and then just left. Now trying to get refund and having issues with that. Would not recommend this hotel at all! read more

Room was dirty, hair in the bathroom. AC didn't work so called to front desk and they flipped a switch. Never have I ever had to ask for ac to be turned on. Then it never did get cold. Water in shower was scalding hot for about a minute then turned cold.Breakfast was horrible! Juice was even watered way down, almost could see through the OJ, food cold, most items out of stock. My husband is a fire inspector and noticed many things out of compliance so hope you don't have a fire on your trip. Front desk manager rude and would not listen to my issues, stating "He couldn't do anything since I booked with Priceline" whole not even looking at my files Never have booked anything on Priceline. I'm a travel agent and booked this hotel directly through choice hotels. I will never recommend to any of my clients! A disgrace to the choice hotels name! read more

This hotel was booked using Priceline Express Deal which promised a 2.5 star hotel with a non smoking room and good ratings. The room I was given smelled like rot from mold, smoke, and pot. The furniture was filthy, food trash was under beds, stains on chair, and mold around the bottom and edges of fridge. It was dirty and smelled. I immediately called Priceline. The agent had me wait forever to tell me that the manager would not refund my money. I told the manager it was not fit for anyone to sleep in and smelled horrible. He didn't refund my money and told me Priceline had to do it. The manager told Priceline no as Priceline claims it is up to the manager. Priceline promised a good room. It smelled like death in there and both Priceline and this hotel scammed me of my money. No one holds either accountable. Priceline and Google show this place is awful. Complaints of dirty rooms, smells, and bed bugs yet Priceline puts people there on their express deals despite numerous complaints. Thieves and liars! Never again! read more

If I could give a lower score I would. Don't ever stay at this hotel, we stayed for the price and are dearly paying for it now. The door to our room wouldn't open/close correctly, there was old food in the fridge, the pool area was dirty and the floor surrounding the pool a hazard, and the breakfast was rubbery tasting. We checked out early in the morning and later after returning home we found we had been charged an additional 5x what we had paid. We called and they claimed our room was filled with cat feces. It is a total lie and we don't even have a cat. If something happened it was not when we were there. It hurts to be blamed for something we didn't do. DO NOT STAY. I have never been so disrespected and belittled in my whole life. I was charged for the whole weekend (when it states that my friend and I were splitting the cost on two credit cards) on the reservation paper. I went to the front desk and was extremely calm and understanding. The owner stated that he refunded me half of the amount and that my friend needed to pay her half, which was no problem. I later on found out the they charged me instead of refunding me. I got back from cedar point around 12am and was talking to one of the assistant managers for an hour at the front desk. I was extremely frustrated and the employee stated that the owner will be back at 6am in the morning . Come to find out the owner lives in the hotel and didn't want to deal with it. I come out at 6am and the other assistant manager begins to state how I harassed his employee . I then became so frustrated that i went back into my room woke up my friend and started packing my things. The owner was completely rude and would not let my friend and I talk. We asked him multiple times to just explain and not give us an attitude, but said that he "just woke up" and that's why he was giving an attitude. He did not solve this issue so, We left and told him that I am calling corporate and reporting this issue. My husband called the hotel because he knew how upset I was and the assistant manager who's name is Johnny , lied and told my husband his name was Esteban because he didn't want to tell him that he was the one stating that I was "harassing" the other assistant manager. I still cannot believe I went through this stressful and horrific situation and I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. read more

The staff was super friendly and we checked in around three am. When we walked in the room it was dark and we had trouble finding the light switch at first, but once we found it the room was spectacular for such a cheap price. Also, everything was nice and clean. No stains on the bed. The bed itself was in a zip bag, but didn't make any noise during the night. Overall, it's a wonderful place to stay for such a cheap price!! read more
