Note the bucket catching the drips in the breakfast area. Classy.

I know, you don't expect too much when you are staying anywhere for $70, right? Still, there are some simple things that can be done to move this place up a notch. I'm surprised that they haven't taken those steps. The biggest plus is the pool! Wow, having a large indoor pool for this price is outstanding. There is also a decent breakfast selection, thank you! The rough parts were at check-in and the overall look of inattention. The young lady that handled our check-in seemed to be on her first go around. It should have been simple, but it wasn't. She also wasn't aware of the hotel set-up and we walked a long way to our room when there was a door right beside it! Walking through the building, there was a half finished box of Bud Lite sitting on the cabinet to the bar...just in plain grabbing distance for anyone, kids included. The cable box was missing in our room and they didn't have any baby beds to be borrowed. Really? None? Anyway. Just do better, you don't need to invest more, just hide the unused furniture, don't create signs from copy paper and Sharpies, and have someone at the desk that understands check-in!

Spend a little extra money and take your business across the street to Best Western. Horrible experience with Quality Inn. Such a bad experience that I will forever avoid Quality Inn's. The condition of the lobby should have been enough for us to walk out, but we were tired and just wanted a place to stay. We finally get into our room (after a 20 minute check in due to the incompetence of the employee) and our room is disgusting. Literal (what appear to be) gnats flying in the room, strands of hair on the comforter, and a bug ON the pillow (see below). Absolutely nasty. Not to mention the entire hotel was extremely sketchy and we felt very unsafe as women in our mid 20's. We quickly decided we needed to go elsewhere and luckily the front desk employee did not fight it. Coincidentally, a middle aged man was also requesting a refund due to the condition of his room. Although the employee gave us a refund for the room, he appeared to be very frustrated to do so and was very rude in the process.

If I could give it zero stars I would. You can count the one star for the employees who were nice but this place was disgusting. I booked two rooms online from Hotwire because we were traveling on the road and we could not find two rooms together any other hotel since we were in the middle of nowhere. We travel a lot in this is the first time I've had to leave a hotel because it was so disgusting. This is a rent by the hour style place. There was no way I was going to let my daughter stay the night in this place. Cigarette burns. Unexplainable stains stripping down the walls and curtains. My husband killed a bug is soon as we walked in the door. Even some ashes left the ashtray. We left right after I took some photos. Gross!!!!

Jay was very helpful! He recommended, "The Rustic Cow" for food and ice cream! The Inn stay was great also.

The pool is an infinity pool overlooking the lake. There are watercrafts that can be rented. Overall this is a gorgeous place to stay, quiet away from the busy tourist areas. Definitely a 5 star place if you want a quiet restful vacation with the family.

We loved the huge deck and the easy access to the stairs down to the playground and dock (do be aware that there is no fence on either side of the stairs so you need to be extra cautious with little ones.) The pool was a huge hit as were the kayaks and paddle board. We rented a pontoon for three days and found several coves to swim on the lake where we were the only group there. A couple helpful hints if you plan to stay here...1. Bring lots of drinking water as the well water tasted very high in minerals. 2. Bring extra camp chairs if you are coming with a group and want to all be able to enjoy the deck at the same time (we ended up eating dinner outside every night). 3. Rent the golf cart if you have anyone in your party with mobility limitation. 4. Make sure you get up at least one morning for sunrise. You can see it while sitting on the deck and is truly magnificent. I can't recommend this place

Price includes free continental breakfast, but don't put much stock in that because it wasn't very good. The self-make waffles were okay, as were the pre-packaged Jimmy Dean sausage, egg and cheese sandwiches (just microwave a minute), but their drink machine only had water from the OJ and apple juice dispensers, and the water option tasted terrible. So only real options were cranberry juice or coffee. The fresh fruit looked sad and the pre-packaged cakes were not good. Our first night was terrible due to a bed as hard as concrete; we got very little sleep and woke with aches and pains. This was one of their renovated/updated rooms with tile floors and refreshed bathroom. However, the floors had a sticky residue (I assume from whatever they used to clean them) so you wouldn't want to walk barefoot on it. Also, the tub was incredibly slick, to the point of being dangerous (lawsuit waiting to happen). We went to front desk the next morning and a very nice older gentleman let us check out another room, where the bed was much softer. This room was older and hadn't been updated, clearly from the non-working TV, cracked sink and bathroom tiles, broken bathroom light, and old looking green carpet. But at least the bed was better! You can expect a mini fridge, microwave, TV, wall-unit HVAC, bed, couch and desk in your room. No alarm clocks or clocks on the microwave, so have to check your phone for the time. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself is lacking. Good thing it's one of the cheaper options in the area. But even at $70 per night, they should do better.
