We stayed here overnight. Great location! Close to shopping and my favorite coffee stop at cactus coffee! The rooms seem dated but the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very nice at check in and both check in and checking out were very simple. The one problem I had with our room was the bar in shower was coming loose. We had plenty of hot water and they had shampoo and conditioner dispenser in shower along with bars of soap.. there's an outdoor pool for warmer weather.. looked as if it had just been opened it was pristine lol.. not terrible place to stay but there was nicer spots prob for about same amount of money as we spent here. They had continental breakfast at no extra charge with different juices. read more

Not terrible but def budget place just to rest your head for a night, includes decent breakfast. Waffles are good (could use some more sugar or have powdered sugar available), cereal, yogurt, muffins/bread, and juice were available. Breakfast area appeared fresh and clean. Upon check-in there seemed to be a smell of old urine emanating perhaps from a/c, the carpets are old and dingy - def don't trust walking barefoot. I generally don't, but I'd be afraid of touching it one bit. The nightstand tabletop visibly was not cleaned as pictured, so it begs the question what else wasn't cleaned properly? I was afraid to lay my items on any surface tops without sanitizing it myself. The sink faucet handle is loose and difficult to maneuver for desired temperature, and the interior of basin (drain overflow) def needs a good cleaning as mold is visible and the odor is nauseating. The shower walls had several bits and strands of hair from previous guests. The bathroom seemed to be shoddily redone relatively recently as the tub was glistening white and the caulking seemed somewhat new but sloppily applied, and there are several areas of missing grout and presence of moldy grout. The layout of the bathroom is awkward and somewhat tight. The shower/toilet is enclosed excluding the light switch that is located outside the room behind the door in the corner above the sink. It took us both a good minute to figure out where the light switch was located. The photos shown from over 5 years ago are deceptive as it's outdated and hasn't been maintained. At least that's how we feel from what we've experienced vs what we expected seeing the photos prior to booking. Overall, you could def rest a night here but personally would spend a bit more elsewhere for a cleaner environment. Cleanliness is questionable and the place is in need of renovation for sure, but staff are very friendly. read more

Front desk guy completely incompetent. Booked a king room and got a stinky dingy double queen. I guess you get what you pay for though.

HORRIBLE experience. For starters the room was filthy. Cobwebs in the corners, crumbling drywall, obvious patches in the drywall, walls and doors were visibly dirty and in need of paint, The bathroom floor was sticky and the door hinges were covered in rust. Mechanically, you could look out in to the parking lot through the gap around the door, the faucet had nearly no pressure and came out in multiple trickling streams, the light and fan switches for the shower area were broken and no matter how low you set the air conditioner it was VERY humid in the room. To turn on the light or fan you only had to shake the switch rather than actually changing its position, shower head had next to no pressure. The continental breakfast they advertise and picture on their website shows eggs & sausage. There was no such foods. Only stale old prepackaged muffins, cereal and make it yourself waffles with only one waffle iron. read more

The pictures will deceive you. Found a dead bug on my wife's pillow, there were stains on the comforter. Light came through the bottom of the curtains so you couldn't sleep in. The fridge made loud noises all night and every time a/c turned on it made the door rattle and feel like someone was breaking into the room. This place was so bad that we switched different hotels the next morning when we had a three day booking. Don't recommend this place at all. read more

This hotel was previously an Innkeeper and then a Country hearth Inn. Now under the Quality Inn banner, it has been remodeled. The main thing I was impressed was the parking and non-registered guest policy. At check in I had to give my vehicle information and was issued a parking pass. I asked if they had parking problems, and was told no, but they are trying to make sure no unauthorized vehicles use their lot. There were also signs in the parking lot reminding non registered people that they are not to be on the premises after 10 pm. The room had newer furnishings and everything looked good. Bed was comfortable, HVAC worked well, as did the free wifi. My main complaint was that I did not get the room that I requested in my reservation - a king room on the first floor. Night clerk at check in told me they had no remaining king rooms on the first floor, so I accepted a room with two beds instead. I am a Platinum member of the Choice Hotels program, and since I had made the reservation days in advance, I expect my room request to be honored. I was also bothered that the facility wasn't that busy on the night I stayed, so I question whether the clerk was accurate on the lack of ground floor king rooms. read more

Had to come to the area for a business trip and stayed here and it is located within reach of the whole area of Pinehurst, Southern Pines, etc. Lady was nice to stay a little late for me to check in when I arrived due to late afternoon flight in. She checked me in and was nice and we chatted while I was getting checked in. Stay was comfortable and room was clean and was enjoyable to be there to have a place to sleep. Only negative was room next door had a few visitors over at night and they were outside very loud and kept me up the second night I stayed here. read more

I stayed at this hotel last weekend. Not being familiar with the area and usually preferring a Hampton inn I found this hotel after reading many reviews. This room cost me 61.00 total on a Saturday night. What a deal! The room was clean, the beds comfortable and the breakfast was great! All rooms are non -smoking. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again on my next trip to visit my son. read more

Absolutely the worst experience and lack of professionalism I have every encountered with this hotel and company. The hotel DID NOT MATCH THE PHOTOS ON THE WEBSITE AT ALLLL. The carpet looked and smelt grimy and the outside was borderline a roach motel. I would never in a million years stay at this establishment. When expressing concerns regarding safety and quality of what I was expecting vs what I received, Expedia has given me the run around for 3 weeks and when I spoke to the general manager she was ABSOLUTELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I have never had an experience with a representative of an establishment that spoke to their clientele that way and and utterly furious. Was Traveling through and booked this place due to price and convenience. You truly get what you pay for. CONS: The room was DIRTY. I clean hotels before staying in them ( yes I bring my own cleaning supplies!) fecal matter all over the toilet.. dust, dirt and hair all over the room. The tub was nasty, hair everywhere. Shower head leaked/sprayed so bad it got everything in the bathroom wet, from ceiling to floor. Room was hot, smelled and full of flies. Air conditioner leaked all over the floor after turning on Went to the front to advise the man working the desk was super friendly demetry? He offered for the maintenance man ( who lives on grounds which is convenient) to come look at the room. We had just unpacked and kiddos were in bed. We asked if he could come the next day no issues! Next is the 1st shift workers Eric and (female) I was cleaning the pool this girl came busting out of the door to tell me I couldn't use it.. I asked if she could clean the pool she said " no, I'm busy" and went inside. She was so rude and the attitude WOW! Come to find out this is a family owned place the house keeper and (female) are related.. Eric and (female) are dating but related?! The other house keeper is a cousin and the owner is the uncle so NOTHING comes of a complaint. Very disappointing. PROS located close to food and stores. read more

Accompanied the wife on her last business trip and she wanted to try this hotel as she stayed previously at a few other hotels in the area. The hotel was conveniently located only 15 minutes away from the hospital she was working at. There is also an Aldi right across the street if you need groceries and a gas station and convenience store a short walk from the hotel on the same side of the street. There is also a strip mall behind the hotel well within walking distance that has a Big Lots, Dollar General and places to eat. Ice cold water was waiting on you in the lobby which was appreciated as hot and humid as it was outside while we were there. Room was on the lower level so we didn't have to lug suite cases and coolers up stairs. Although we were on the front side of the hotel which is on a main route thru Aberdeen, there was no night time noise to speak of. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable and had all of the amenities you would expect and for just a few dollars more than the Microtel down the road we got a king size bed and in room fridge and microwave plus a pool. All staff we encountered was friendly. When I would be standing outside the room smoking my cigar, any staff member that passed always said hi and asked how I was doing. At breakfast we were greeted asked how we were doing as well. Deluxe continental breakfast with real eggs and sausage plus a waffle maker and the usual assortment of cereal, yogurt, oatmeal and breads with juice, coffee or milk to drink. Coffee was good. We liked this hotel enough that my wife has already booked a room for her trip down here this week and it would be our hotel of choice if we came back down here again together. read more

I stayed here two nights during the US Kids Golf World Championship. It is very conveniently located to the many courses in the area, as well as shops and restaurants. I arrived late in the evening, and was greeted by a friendly staff member at the front desk. I was unsettled by an older male guest who literally came to the stairwell and watched me walk up the steps, without saying a word. He just glared at me until I spoke up to him. The room was clean and relatively well appointed for the price and the time of year I stayed. My room was located in the two story building adjacent to the main building. It has no elevator so I had to carry everything up the stairs. The breakfast was really nice, and the staff was helpful. The room was remodeled but some things were still left unfinished or were done in a shabby way, but nothing that left me feeling uneasy. I would probably stay again for the price and convenience. read more

Best kept secret in area, totally new remodel Quality Inn manager Sonja is a wonderful caring lady and manager we recently got evacuated during hurricain Matthew and rooms were a premium if you could get due to mandatory evacuations this woman lost her sister and was working on 3day of storm with no sleep and was the kindness lady and her sister was buried that day she left 4 hours and came back and next morning met us at breakfast to ensure our breaded was ok? Sonja is a kind , dedicated lady that's why I give this hotel and chain a 5 star and this hotel has security on premises and ruby Tuesday in front and very close to Pinehurst best golfing in the South. Hidden gem!! Best in area and can't beat prices. Or service she will bend over to please you a old school word and deed lady!! Class act. read more

I had good expectations after reading many of the reviews, but was very disappointed. Yes there was some remodeling done. That is good. But the interior workmanship in our room was terrible. The bed wasn't bad, but could have been better. Better sheets would be a huge improvement. The towels were so thin you could almost see thru them. With the messing caulking, cheap hardware, tub that looked very old and worn and carpet looked dingy and like it hadn't been clean it a while, well it didn't set well with my wife. You want a room that looks like it has been cared for. The price, it was good. But the price maybe should have been my warning. Check in process good, security at night good, clerk was very friendly and courteous. But once we opened the door, Not good. read more
