I go there at 1:00 pm the next day, am told the wrong filter arrived, and they wouldn't be able to get the correct one until Tuesday because of long weekend. 5pm the same day get a call saying the filter came in (which means they lied to me about receiving the wrong filter). Just before they about to start, he says it's going to be $171 plus tax! That's nearly $200 for an oil change and $32 more than I was told the day before. Guy says he doesn't know who I talked to the day before and that's the price.

Alan goes the extra mile for every customer with a well trained crew. He is on a first name basis with many of his returning customers and always greets you with a smile. If you have other mechanical issues, he also owns the Midas shop a few kms up Kingsway that does brakes, exhaust, and other major repairs. The issue? My mechanic told me later that the tube they replaced in April was leaking, and that's what they refused to fix due to what I believe is incompetence. I called the following day for a refund and Allan told me to come in again and I said I didn't trust their work after coming in and waiting. Allan was extremely rude and dismissive after my long wait to an empty shop. If you aren't in an emergency, or a woman, AVOID this place. They add things to the bill without asking (my initial visit I was charged $100 for coolant I didn't want). Reported to BBB. Awful service. After a lack of info and waiting without answer, I towed my car. The new and trusted mechanic said the coolant leaked and needed a new hose. No one at Jiffy lube answered basic questions and in fact couldn't even find the leak! An appointment to fix the issue never happened. The owner, Richard, spent an entire hour sitting in my car Googling basic diagnostic codes on his personal cell phone. He did not know how to fix the issue, yet I was still charged [Insert amount if you want]. Falsely claiming we scheduled a follow-up is an attempt to cover up a complete lack of basic expertise and a rip-off. Future customers beware.

First, he said that my engine oil is empty and showed me the dipstick. Of course it's going to show small because I just arrived and just turned off my car. The oil is still circulated in the engine. Next, he advised for an engine flush. I said ok. He said the it will need for the engine to run idle for 5mins with the engine flush chemical. Not even 3mins and he asked me to stop the engine. Engine flush is supposed to be ran for 10-15mins. Lastly, he said I need to changed coolant. He said he's going to check my coolant. He used this device that sucked a good amount of coolant out of the radiator and he can see the color and status of the coolant through the glass on his device. Then, after checking, instead of putting back the collant he extracted, he dumped it out. Probably so next time it will show that my coolant is low. Avoid this jiffy lube place at all cost. That's why people loses trust with their people because of scammers like them. If only I could give a negative rate, I will give them -5. Just scammers.

I asked for another quote for different tires. Was given a quote for Pireli for $2,800. Because it was late in the day I was unable to check other tire shops in the area. I assumed the prices would be similar. I checked the next day and the prices at 3 other tire shops in South Surrey ranged from $384-$395 per tire not $625 which I was charged. I showed the employee that I was charged an extra $900. he said I would be unable to get the tires within 24 hours. This was untrue. The other tire shops said they would have the tires the next day. Mr Lube also lost 3 of my lugnut covers and forgot to put back the center plate and I had to return to shop after driving home.

I had the spare tire on when I arrived. They were very efficient in patching the tire quickly & didn't charge me, but then suggested that I needed new tires & if I have winter tires I should get them on ASAP. Then when I got home & opened that back of my SUV - what should I find - my spare tire lying there! It is supposed to go underneath & I know it does require some finesse to get it back under there. I called them & they were certainly expecting my call! The ready excuse was that they had tried to do it but it wasn't working & that they had "forgotten to mention it to me"! And they call themselves "tire experts" ? They said I could bring it back tomorrow to see if they could fit me in. I'm not taking it back to them - they would probably break it, just like they broke my tire pressure sensor 6 years ago claiming that Toyota had done it in their last servicing! By the way - I checked my tire rating which was done by Toyota at the end of June & the treads measured 7/32". Totally unethical & I'm never going back!

I disagreed but their option was to replace the bad tire at $600 plus add another one to balance the wear (20,000 miles) for another $600 plus install plus balancing plus taxes. I did, they fixed it and "touch wood (or rubber)" it has been 6 weeks and it's still holding air. They saved me $1500 by going the extra mile. They have my approval
