They put my radiator in incorrectly ... clamped it too close to the engine block and burnt a hole in it ... I live in the states so I had it fixed there ... had the mechanic email photos and contact info ... I said I can bring the car in to show them the new radiator and receipt ... they were completely unwilling to fix their mistake ... Buyer beware ! read more

This automotive shop used to be good but it has gone extremely downhill. I took my 2021 rather new car for a simple oil change. I looked outside and saw the service tech driving away in it. I asked where has he gone with my car? Test drive. I asked I just came here for an oil change why are you taking it for a test drive ? We do with every car I was told. I told the clerk behind the counter this would be the last time I brought any of my vehicles here again. As I was waiting for the tech to bring my vehicle back after an unusual 15 minute test drive she the clerk came out and aggressively told me I could just take my car when he got back. I agreed and left extremely dissatisfied and no oil change. Terrible customer service read more

The good folks there actually advised me that some of the work I requested wasn't even necessary at this time. I was quoted what the costs would be and I was very pleased that the bill at the end of the day was exceptionally fair. The work was done quickly and on time. I couldn't be more happy with White Rock Auto....I'm so glad I took my car there. I had an electrical issue and a rough idling engine, which had been going on for months and gradually worsening, with the cause difficult to diagnose. It was not showing up on a diagnostic machine. Not only did White Rock Auto treat me with courtesy at all times, but they very patiently worked on the problem until they isolated and solved it...my car is running smoothly again, and I can now drive it with confidence. Along with that very satisfying result, I find their prices to be refreshingly fair, which I appreciate very much. I highly recommend White Rock Auto. You will be treated well, and they will solve your issue in a timely manner, reasonably and with fairness. This is as good as service gets. My family has been going to see John for our car repairs for over a decade. My father took all his vehicles there, and now I have begun using John for my 2001 Ford Explorer. He's the only mechanic I've met who will answer the phone at 6:30 pm, or arrange a tow truck for you when you're stuck, or follow up on repairs with a phone call. I highly recommend this place for anyone who is careful about their vehicle and doesn't like dealing with the pushy sales tactics of the "other guys". They have taken care of my family for years and I recommend they take care of yours, too. read more

Shop has definitely changed hands or something since these reviews were posted back in 2013. Took my jeep in to these guys to get simple simple work done, work I can and usually do myself but figured an automotive shop would be a little quicker... well to change my brakes, and install a switch on an hvac module for a 99 tj jeep... a seriously 15 minute job. . And to do a few minor easy things... well They have had my vehicle for 3 days... not once did I receive a call informing me of the status of it.. or progress made, never informed me of parts or any plans of attack so to speak...just left me in the dark for 3 days meanwhile I'm losing 300.00$ a day from work.. I do not recommend this shop in the least..and wish I had gone somewhere else. Got my vehicle back and they didn't even fix the spare tire light like I asked... one of the main reasons I brought it in. read more

We have been well cared for over the years and have received honest and reliable service over that time. Very unprofessional is the bottom line. I would not recommend taking your car to this garage. Courtesy car was disgusting (smoker car with garbage), no details on billing, no explanation of service which is a must these days, lady at the front was very cold and frankly unpleasant to deal with. Take your money and boot you out the door. I will never go back and not recommend to friends and family. read more

My husband and I have brought our vehicles to John and his staff for over 15 years. We wouldn't even consider going anywhere else, unless it's to the Dealer for free warranty work. His diagnostic abilities are remarkable (I've seen him use a stethoscope to listen to engine noises!) Never has he recommended work that was unnecessary, or over billed us for anything. He even lent me his own car to drive home when his driver was unavailable. read more

I cannot thank White Rock Automotive enough for their service. We were on our way to Seattle from Prince George and were sitting in the border lineup when we noticed our Nissan Cube overheating with a check engine light. We pulled out and were sent to White Rock Auto, where Alex greeted us and assured us that she would get the team to take a look at the Cube as soon as possible to try and get us back on the road. The problem was diagnosed quickly, and although it was already later in the afternoon Alex tried her absolute best to find us the part needed to get the job done by end of day. Unfortunately it wouldn't be available until the next day so they had to keep the car overnight, but once we'd found a place to stay Alex drove us there herself and told us she'd be back for us as soon as the car was ready the next morning. It was done much earlier than anticipated and we were on our way by 1030am the next morning. As we were sitting in the border lineup again, we noticed the car was still heating up rather fast and called White Rock Auto to double check - Alex had us come back just to be sure everything was ok. They again dropped everything to take a look at the Cube (we were on a tight timeline - it was the Friday of a long weekend and we needed to be in Seattle later that night). Turned out, as we were idling in the lineup again another problem had arisen. Alex and Harvey again tried everywhere to find the new part required but all of the parts dealers said it would probably be 3-4 days before they got any in (not a huge demand for Nissan Cube parts, go figure). Our last resort was an auto wrecker in Abbotsford, and they had one! Harvey drove out there himself to get it for us and got the work done immediately upon returning. We were again on our way, this time with no problems and the rest of the trip went smoothly. What could have turned our trip into an absolute disaster instead only caused a minor delay, thanks to the dedicated service of Alex, Harvey, and the rest of the team at White Rock Auto. Thank you to everyone who played a part in getting us on the road. To the owner, know that your staff members went above and beyond to ensure that we were taken care of and on our way, and that we will be forever grateful to have been sent to White Rock Auto. read more

The air conditioning compressor on my 2005 Honda broke down, and as you may know, it is a costly repair. John was friendly and knowledgeable, and his quote was extremely reasonable given the huge amount of work involved. He was also honest about the amount of time it was going to take, and my car was ready at the estimated time. What impressed me the most, however, was that a few days later as I was driving through a construction zone, my car started making a weird clanking noise. I did not know if whether or not this was related to the recent repair, but John was so helpful and lifted my car to have a look to ensure that it was safe to drive. Turns out that I probably had picked up some debris while driving through the construction zone, and the noise went away, but I was very impressed with how professional he was. He really took the time to have a good look, at the end of the day, when I am sure he had 100 other things to do. I will go there in the future when I need further repairs. I strongly recommend this repair shop. read more
