I came to switch tires and do alignment service to make sure everything is good when I leave. It took them almost 4 hours because they were overbooked and there was a long queue for the alignment machine. They changed the tires in an hour or so but 3 hrs for the alignment machine is ridiculous. They have the shop music blasting so loud that I could hear it as I arrived for my appointment. They also park a vehicle right at the Boundary Road entrance so it's partially blocking it. Not sure why they park a vehicle there, maybe to control the speed of people coming in. I saw one person needing to back up a little back onto Boundary Road, just to adjust to squeeze through. Not safe since Boundary is a busy road. Best to enter/exit from the Kitchener entrance. When my vehicle was ready, they didn't go over the invoice or alignment sheet. They just handed the invoice and told me the cost. I will go back to the previous location i used to go to, even if it's further away.

Jaime, the senior assistant manager is very knowledgeable and he was very helpful both in person and over the phone. Mike, the technician, was nice and thorough re: checking my tires and brake parts. Bobby is conscientious in keeping me updated with car service info. Free coffee, tea and WiFi available in the waiting area. They seem well stocked in tires inventory and it's helpful that Kaltire labels their display tires with their own independent tire testing results, making it easy for a novice like me to shop for tires. Value - Tho I haven't done price comparison on their tire services with other places, they offer good value for me by having so many locations where you can trace your car service details and tire replacement info in their computer system at any KalTire store. Thus, I would return for convenience in tracking tire replacement and service history details.

When I went to the appointment, only an older Indian? man was there. He is so rude and arrogant, replaced the battery in the brake light, complaining all the while, and refused to check my tires. Said the other person should not have made an appointment to have this done, and he was too busy. After awhile he said he would do my tires and then started yelling at me. I didn't want him touching my tires, so I thanked him and left. This is the second time I have had a problem with this man. A few months ago I made an appointment to have my car serviced, and he never wrote it in the book. The Chinese man who was there at my appoinment time, was very nice, and did service my car, even though it was not written in the book. Very embarassing. I was a good customer, and always paid my bill and I was happy with the Chinese man's work. After my experience today, I will never go back there. I might add that I am a senior (78) and if this is how he treats seniors, how do he treat others?

Alan goes the extra mile for every customer with a well trained crew. He is on a first name basis with many of his returning customers and always greets you with a smile. If you have other mechanical issues, he also owns the Midas shop a few kms up Kingsway that does brakes, exhaust, and other major repairs. The issue? My mechanic told me later that the tube they replaced in April was leaking, and that's what they refused to fix due to what I believe is incompetence. I called the following day for a refund and Allan told me to come in again and I said I didn't trust their work after coming in and waiting. Allan was extremely rude and dismissive after my long wait to an empty shop. If you aren't in an emergency, or a woman, AVOID this place. They add things to the bill without asking (my initial visit I was charged $100 for coolant I didn't want). Reported to BBB. Awful service. After a lack of info and waiting without answer, I towed my car. The new and trusted mechanic said the coolant leaked and needed a new hose. No one at Jiffy lube answered basic questions and in fact couldn't even find the leak! An appointment to fix the issue never happened. The owner, Richard, spent an entire hour sitting in my car Googling basic diagnostic codes on his personal cell phone. He did not know how to fix the issue, yet I was still charged [Insert amount if you want]. Falsely claiming we scheduled a follow-up is an attempt to cover up a complete lack of basic expertise and a rip-off. Future customers beware.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? It was only after I paid that I came to realize how ridiculous this cost is, and luckily it was before I had anything fixed by these guys. I called 5+ other mechanics in the city who all laughed at this cost. The most any of them would charge to run this diagnostic was $50. I took my car to another mechanic who charged $600 for the same job that The Garage quoted me $1100 for...and guess what? They ran the diagnostic for FREE before advising that any work be done. I watched him do this in about 2 minutes. I'm not sure if they sized me up and thought that they could over charge because I'm a woman and I don't know a lot about cars, but I'm sure anyone who knows ANYTHING about cars would laugh in their faces if told it would cost $170 to run the diagnostic that takes 2 minutes. Needless to say, my friend's dad won't be recommending this place anymore. It's funny that places like this think that they're getting more money by ripping people off, but don't realize how much business they're forfeiting by gaining this bad reputation.

The car had never had any issues before, but after their work it came back damaged and I had to pay almost $1,500 at Mazda to fix their issues caused by them. When I reached out to Midas head office, instead of addressing the problem and reaching out to me, they had the very location I complained about call me. The manager called me and the conversation was extremely frustrating -- he denied responsibility, took no accountability, and was unprofessional and dismissive throughout. I even have an 8-minute recording of the call, including a highlight where he responds to my concerns with "yeah, whatever." So now I've paid Midas for the original service and paid Mazda to repair their negligence, while being treated poorly by both the location and head office. This experience was costly, unfair, and incredibly unprofessional. I would strongly caution anyone against trusting this shop with their vehicle. You might end up paying a lot more than you expect!

They changed the battery next, even though the previous one showed 70% life. Car kept giving trouble starting every few days, until I finally took it to a different place and they determined that the issue was with the starter. These guys changed my fuel pump and battery for nothing and did not even try to diagnose the issue.
