I found R and C auto repair because I believed that I had a radiator leak in my car. I had been…read moretaking my car to either Watson's or to automobile diagnostics but they charge way too much and I don't quite trust them as they did things that don't need to be fixed and charge and arm and a leg for every little thing done. So tried something new, since I believed my car had a radiator leak I took my car to marks radiator who referred me to R and C to first check it out. Rick spent over an hour and a half looking under my car while on the lift to find where the leak is coming from. He wiped it all out and tightened some hoses but could not really tell. Besides hose clamps being lose no other leaks at this time. He could have said yes it's the radiator kept it and charged me a lot of money said he replaced the radiator etc. Bit as honest as he was he didn't do that. He sent me home with it for me to check to see if there were any more leaks did if there was then it could be the radiator after all. Didn't even charge me to look at it all this time. Well unfortunately there was still leaking. Took it back to him and left it with him over night. He was able to take a better look at it take some things apart. The leak I had which I was led to believe from others that it was the radiator just happened to be the oil sending unit. So he replaced that and changed my oil for me. No more leaking and was so much cheaper than a radiator. Rick is one of the most honest ppl I have ever met in the car repair business I would suggest him to anyone and totally trust him. I like the way he talks to you just s 354-68-8845-Ao down to earth and allows you right there with him in his shop while he looks at your car. He is not out to take your money he is just here to make an honest living. I was very impressed and have found a great mechanic finally, which I have never found before. My situation started when I got a terrible scratch when I cut a tight corner in my garage. Frankly I don't understand how people get building permits to make parking garages in Champaign. Anyway, mainly because I didn't need my parents finding out about my little accident I decided to pay out of pocket for the damages. I first went to Tatman's to get a quote, seeing as I've heard good things about their service and I see their ads everywhere. I nearly dropped to my knees when I heard the price they told me for my scratch over my wheel, slightly onto my door and a few minor scratches on the bumper. "At least two thousand dollars..." They had explained that the amount of work they'd have to put into it (10 hours) would be the bulk of the cost. I decided to head down the street to M&M. I spoke with Alex who quickly came out to my car and accessed the damage. He told me very similar things to Tatman's so I believed his assessment. The best part was that he told me it would cost about $1000 and he broke it down piece by piece of what needed to be done. Originally the used the wrong paint, but realized the mistake and told me they would correct it at no cost to me. Although it took a little more time than originally quoted, they took care of some additional scratches on the car and the car looks as good as new. They are extremely helpful and I would highly recommend their services to anyone.
